Some of this is definitely what I call “woo woo”, but there were enough moments that made me reflect on my negative habits that gave me new or refreshed perspective。

If you're a fan of this author at all, feel free to skip my review because I am Not。 This book is Profoundly pointless and Jen Mazer is completely insufferable。 I was forced to read it in its entirety for work purposes and god, I will never get that 2 hours of my life back and that's the real tragedy here。 Mazer is a skinny, traditionally attractive, able-bodied cis white woman, here to tell you that you can over come any obstacle in life if you just use your imagination harder。 There's no ackno If you're a fan of this author at all, feel free to skip my review because I am Not。 This book is Profoundly pointless and Jen Mazer is completely insufferable。 I was forced to read it in its entirety for work purposes and god, I will never get that 2 hours of my life back and that's the real tragedy here。 Mazer is a skinny, traditionally attractive, able-bodied cis white woman, here to tell you that you can over come any obstacle in life if you just use your imagination harder。 There's no acknowledgement of the many many privilege's she's been afforded in life, other than her claiming to have 'manifested' all of them。 And listen, before you come at me as being just another non-believer, I DO believe that manifesting something is possible, that positive-thinking and faith can get you a lot farther than you think, hell, I myself am a practicing witch and that takes an awful fucking lot of personal belief to work。 But I'm also someone who recognizes the realities of life and structural inequality。 To say that you created every positive thing in your life out of thin air without acknowledging any of the many inherent privileges of your life is disingenuous。 I can't manifest away institutional racism or my mental illness Jen, it just doesn't work that way。 Additionally, and yes this is just nit-picking at this point but I'm on a role now, the Law of Attraction makes NO sense, its absolute hokum!! Mazer sites Newtonian physics as part of her explanation for how it works, and not only does she make a mess of that but by citing Newton in her analogy, she automatically disproves her point。 Newton proved that opposite energies attract in physics, which is。。。 Literally the opposite of Mazer's proposed Law of Attraction。 Come on, this is like, 3rd grade science project on magnets, how on earth is that meant to make sense。 On an entirely personal note, I had the misfortune of having to meet the author once, and she is somehow even more annoying in person。 I would give this book zero stars if this site allowed it。 。。。more

For readers who have never read the Law of Attraction I was a little disappointed as this book, especially in view of the cost, as it is basically a mix of all the other books on this subject。 There’s nothing new or game changing in here。 If you are new to the subject matter, buy this book。

I didn't finish the book。 This is really the very basics of manifesting and the law of attraction。 It is a great place to start if you are really new to all this, but if you have already spent some time with this topic, you can skip this book。 I didn't finish the book。 This is really the very basics of manifesting and the law of attraction。 It is a great place to start if you are really new to all this, but if you have already spent some time with this topic, you can skip this book。 。。。more
