Fun may be a stretch, but there is a definite effort to make the book engaging。 Some of this efforts fall flat and make me wonder if they had any actual teens review the examples, but that's ok。 The content itself is accessible and pretty well organized。 I think many teens could find a lot of value in working through this book (best if with guidance), and everything is chunked so as to not feel overwhelming。 Fun may be a stretch, but there is a definite effort to make the book engaging。 Some of this efforts fall flat and make me wonder if they had any actual teens review the examples, but that's ok。 The content itself is accessible and pretty well organized。 I think many teens could find a lot of value in working through this book (best if with guidance), and everything is chunked so as to not feel overwhelming。 。。。more

This book looks amazing。 I did not read the whole thing, because my son was not interested。 He has adhd and can not focus on tasks that he is not interested in, no matter how good I think it would be for him。 I think it would be great for an older teen who is motivated to help themselves get better。 Honestly, I think this book would be good for EVERYONE! I have always been an anxious person and I saw so much in there that would be great for me! I can see how much has been put into this and it is incredible。 I think it would be a great thing to incorporate in school curriculum, where it is presented as an important part of living your best life。 It would give young people a good base to to move into adulthood from。 I am a yoga teacher myself and use many of these kinds of practices but kids are so often not open to ideas from their parents。 Individuation at work! 。。。more

Great Book for someone who is just starting out with DBT。 Simple to use and practical applications for a teen。 Loved the layout and guided tour to keep you motivated。 This book is a great tool to have in hand during the DBT therapy process。

I really liked the style in which the book was written。 Each section has a Theme and it is informative but very understandably written。 The tasks that can be completed after the topics are great for exploring and better understanding your own experiences and emotions。 The book makes one realize that all these emotions and experiences that are sometimes difficult to put into words are quite normal and common especially when we are younger and trying to make sense of it。 I feel the book offers a w I really liked the style in which the book was written。 Each section has a Theme and it is informative but very understandably written。 The tasks that can be completed after the topics are great for exploring and better understanding your own experiences and emotions。 The book makes one realize that all these emotions and experiences that are sometimes difficult to put into words are quite normal and common especially when we are younger and trying to make sense of it。 I feel the book offers a wonderful new skill set through things like mindfulness, the emotions behind the emotions, how to handle certain situations better by being in touch with the inner self。 The book is really such a good summary of many things that we only read, learn and apply in our adult years in our lives。 A great head start in life when it comes to inner reflection, kindness and patience to ourselves and others。 Writing style, images and tasks are easy to comprehend, interactive and interesting。 The book will be a great asset to any household or school。 Breaking the stigma that there's something wrong with me or I need to be fixed。 When we understand better, we can respond or act better。 🤗 。。。more

My 15 year old suffers from anxiety and panic attacks。 She has had counseling, but didn’t connect well with the therapist。 She recently started this workbook and was excited how it “spoke” to her-she really liked the formatting and being able to work thru a situation。 This is something she will revisit multiple times as the school year begins。
