the end is just the beginning 🤧

This one packed a punch。Very strong stories in here,I especially liked the pet chapters。But my favourite was at the end,the sadly tragic resolution with the Ace of Hearts。But other than than,I spent my time nicely。

exactly like the first volume but with a bit better writing, silly and funny nonsense that managed to make me laugh and gave me Silver Age vibes, Otaku/nerdom references like there is no tomorrow。 The only downside is the absolutely shitty ending trying to tie this up to Sailor Moon, but who cares。 Now I'm ready for the main entree, meaning the classic Sailor Moon animated series in all its five-seasons glory。 Onward to victory! exactly like the first volume but with a bit better writing, silly and funny nonsense that managed to make me laugh and gave me Silver Age vibes, Otaku/nerdom references like there is no tomorrow。 The only downside is the absolutely shitty ending trying to tie this up to Sailor Moon, but who cares。 Now I'm ready for the main entree, meaning the classic Sailor Moon animated series in all its five-seasons glory。 Onward to victory! 。。。more

Better than the first volume, because I think Takeuchi had finally gotten a handle on the fact that she was going to be turning it into the Sailor Moon series, so she started redirecting it。

Rating: 4 leaves out of 5Characters: 3。5/5Cover: 3。5/5Story: 4/5Writing: 4/5Genre: Fantasy/Romance/ShojoType: MangaWorth?: YeahFinishing this small series really screws up the view on Sailor Moon。 Sailor Moon makes less sense than it did when I started it。 If anything it makes me like Sailor Moon even less than I did before and it wasn't that great to begin with。 Sailor V just seems to have more dimension than Sailor Moon。 Maybe I will eat my words later but Sailor Moon is child's play。 Rating: 4 leaves out of 5Characters: 3。5/5Cover: 3。5/5Story: 4/5Writing: 4/5Genre: Fantasy/Romance/ShojoType: MangaWorth?: YeahFinishing this small series really screws up the view on Sailor Moon。 Sailor Moon makes less sense than it did when I started it。 If anything it makes me like Sailor Moon even less than I did before and it wasn't that great to begin with。 Sailor V just seems to have more dimension than Sailor Moon。 Maybe I will eat my words later but Sailor Moon is child's play。 。。。more

I love Mina and Artemis so much, they were always my favourites from sailor moon, this Manga definitely made me laugh out loud at parts and it’s nice to see it tying into sailor moon

Sailor Venus is my favorite senshi and while I enjoy the prequel series and seeing how she came to be, I prefer the main manga version。 She’s much more like Usagi here。

I love everything about Minako, she’s so funny and boy crazy。 I love all her cute transformation outfits。 The illustrations are awesome has always 。 I just found that all the stories go the same way and end the same way。 But other then that I loved it all。 I think my favourite character is Artemis。 He’s so cute and grumpy。 I recommend this to everyone that like Sailor moon because Sailor Venus and Sailor Moon are very much alike 。

I liked this one better than the first volume! Super funny and very dumb。

4。5 stars rounded up The ending of this made me cryWatching minako discover herself and her destiny and what that means to her life breaks my heart a bit even if she goes on to do amazing thingsThe story of sailor v is predominantly sillier than sailor moon for the most part, which makes the emotional bits pack more of a punch!

as much as sailor moon/sailor venus mangas and animes lack even a decent storyline, i can't help but love them。 i know they all follow the same plot every episode: the heroine falls for someone (90% of the time the evil person) and she participates in a free trial (90% of the time to become skinny after eating way too much chocolate or food), but they're so simple and cute。 i like reading a section after i read a stressful or sad books because they're nice to relax to。mini disclaimer: as much as as much as sailor moon/sailor venus mangas and animes lack even a decent storyline, i can't help but love them。 i know they all follow the same plot every episode: the heroine falls for someone (90% of the time the evil person) and she participates in a free trial (90% of the time to become skinny after eating way too much chocolate or food), but they're so simple and cute。 i like reading a section after i read a stressful or sad books because they're nice to relax to。mini disclaimer: as much as i love the art and characters, i do not like/agree with the toxic messages this manga has where everyone needs to be skinny and fit to be considered beautiful。 all bodies are beautiful and from what i've seen, unfortunately most manga companies still haven't realized that。 :( hopefully sometime soon we can start seeing more inclusive manga。 <3 。。。more

At least this is marginally better than volume 1。 Most of the beginning was just the same as #1 until the very end when finally the plot moves forward and Venus shows some character growth。

It took me way too long to get through this volume for some reason。 Still an enjoyable volume but even only having read a few volumes of the main series so far ( I desperately need to continue it ) I know this duology just doesn't hold up to the main series。 It's fun and artemis of course like the first volume was the best part。 His moments with the Luna puppy were hilarious。 But I only really cared about this volume in the last couple chapters。 It's fun fluff but I wanted more of her awakening It took me way too long to get through this volume for some reason。 Still an enjoyable volume but even only having read a few volumes of the main series so far ( I desperately need to continue it ) I know this duology just doesn't hold up to the main series。 It's fun and artemis of course like the first volume was the best part。 His moments with the Luna puppy were hilarious。 But I only really cared about this volume in the last couple chapters。 It's fun fluff but I wanted more of her awakening & searching for the girls。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 The Sailor V manga comes to a close as Naoko Takeuchi attempts to adjust the story to fit better with later Sailor Moon lore。 The ending is unexpectedly bleak, I assume against Takeuchi's intentions。 Mina was taught of her destiny as a defender of Earth as an emissary from Venus, only to learn in the end that while she will still be a hero, she isn't the hero, and that the real princess has little to do with Venus, so little of the manga's earlier lore continues to make sense by this point。Earli The Sailor V manga comes to a close as Naoko Takeuchi attempts to adjust the story to fit better with later Sailor Moon lore。 The ending is unexpectedly bleak, I assume against Takeuchi's intentions。 Mina was taught of her destiny as a defender of Earth as an emissary from Venus, only to learn in the end that while she will still be a hero, she isn't the hero, and that the real princess has little to do with Venus, so little of the manga's earlier lore continues to make sense by this point。Earlier chapters in this volume introduce a masked hero, Phantom Ace。 The release schedule of this manga was rather weird so a great chunk of Sailor Moon came out before Sailor V technically ended, so I'm not personally sure who came first between Phantom Ace and Moon's Tuxedo Kamen。 Either way, Ace's existence further establishes Mina as little more than a proto-Usagi, and it's kinda dark that a) Ace is first revealed to be Danburite of the Dark Kingdom, b) he's subservient to the four generals, meaning he's insanely weak compared to endgame Sailor Moon enemies, c) he's from Venus, and d) with his death Mina is apparently locked into a path where her duty to protect the moon princess overrides any hope of romance。 Because, you know, Usagi is the real heroine now, so no one else is allowed to get any cool shit, I guess。Pacing for the manga is a little wack, as was true for the previous volume。 The chapters don't really progress too much of a continuous story, other than that the majority of this volume covers the existence of Phantom Ace。 Things seem to ramp up behind the scenes with Danburite deciding to take over and fight himself, after the many failures of his subordinates at the Dark Agency, but then we get three chapters in a row about killer pets (well, a cat girl, a dog guy, and。。。 a mosquito girl), after which we get deeper in to the Ace/Danburite stuff, ending with Mina transforming into a Sailor Venus who looks more like the greater Sailor Moon incarnation。 (Somewhat silly, I think I just totally didn't realize that V's costume was completely different until this volume。 Like I completely forgot the non-Moon Sailor Senshi all have tiaras as well, so the fact that V has the mask and the crescent-moon on her forehead seemed to be the only differences on her head。)Takeuchi leans on the fourth wall a bit with the chapter about the manga-ka, which is funny because she jokes about a manga-ka who falls in love with an editor and retires at an early age, when she herself would later marry a fellow manga-ka and stop working because she gets an assload of money from merch of Toei's anime adaptation and her husband can sit on his own ass and not fucking finish Hunter x Hunter。I'm sure it doesn't mean anything, but deVleene, Founde, and Nyan-Nyan all seem to have bigger tits and wider hips than previous villains in the manga。 It's particularly strange for deVleene at first because the text makes it seem like she's supposed to be somewhat chubby, but it really just looks like she's kinda short and has huge boobs。Also, the last two chapters have a Dark Agency member posing as a Chinese woman and she talks with some dreadful "Engrish," it's silly as fuck, and I respect it。 Reminds me of Ranma 1/2。 。。。more
