Thank you NetGalley for another wonderful book from Hayley LeBlanc。 It was a quick but entertaining read。 I look forward to the next book。 My girls enjoyed the first one so I know they will look forward to this one as well。

This is a quick and fun read and a nice follow up to the first book in the series。 Haley and her friends (and Amelia) are back at it, recording episodes for Sadie Solves It。 There is another mystery to solve though when a crown goes missing from the set。 It's paste but it is an important part of this particular episode where a princess (played by an actor famous for being a superhero) is searching for her long-lost sister。 But, unfortunately, it's not the only piece of jewelry to go missing。 And This is a quick and fun read and a nice follow up to the first book in the series。 Haley and her friends (and Amelia) are back at it, recording episodes for Sadie Solves It。 There is another mystery to solve though when a crown goes missing from the set。 It's paste but it is an important part of this particular episode where a princess (played by an actor famous for being a superhero) is searching for her long-lost sister。 But, unfortunately, it's not the only piece of jewelry to go missing。 And all signs point to one of Hayley's favorite people, Vee, being the thief。 It's up to the Silver Sleuthios (like Silver Studios) to solve the mystery so Vee can keep her job and get her daughter's surgery underway。 。。。more

There was much to like in the second book of the series 。 The children I read to enjoyed this perhaps more than the series starter and liked the fact that there was more said about Hayleys group of friends in this book。 We will look forward to the next book in the series。

Thank you NetGalley for an eArc copy in exchange for an honest review。I really enjoyed this second instalment in The Hayley Mysteries。 I found the mystery in this one to be interesting。 I also found myself enjoying the side characters more then I did while reading the first one。 The big reveal at the end was unexpected but excellently executed。 Definitely a great middle grade series so far。

The Hayley Mysteries: The Missing JewelsHayley Leblanc7/10So this is the second book, in which I hope will be the next Nancy drew series, the Hayley Mysteries。 I would like to start with the good elements of the book for this review。 Firstly, I find while I am reading this series, I learn a lot about the acting world。 I learn about new terms in acting, child laws, etc。 I loved this aspect of the story because acting is awesome, and it teaches me things about being an actor, which I want to do wh The Hayley Mysteries: The Missing JewelsHayley Leblanc7/10So this is the second book, in which I hope will be the next Nancy drew series, the Hayley Mysteries。 I would like to start with the good elements of the book for this review。 Firstly, I find while I am reading this series, I learn a lot about the acting world。 I learn about new terms in acting, child laws, etc。 I loved this aspect of the story because acting is awesome, and it teaches me things about being an actor, which I want to do when I grow up。 I also really enjoyed how when I am reading this book, it is like an episode of a reality TV show playing out in front of my eyes。 This is like a behind the scenes book, where most of the events take place on the filming lot, while the cameras aren’t rolling。 It also incorporates hidden camera show vibes, which are so cheesy。 (and I am a sucker for cheesy things: Riverdale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Original Sin, etc。) Aside from the book, I would love to talk about the author for a minute。tHailey Leblanc is a 13 year old influencer who has 5+ million followers on social profiles, a child actor, and now a published author with three books coming out in one year。 So I want to say, “MAD RESPECT” for your hustle。 I hope you will pursue writing as another career, because you are good。 Now here comes the part I dread the most, talking about the things I didn’t enjoy so much。tFirstly I wanted to discuss the age this year is meant for。 In my opinion the age range for this book is 8 to 12 years old。 As an older reader and a lover of mysteries, I predicted he was stealing the jewels because I am always looking for the answer。 I use the breadcrumbs that were laid out to find who is the culprit。 Now I do think that a younger reader would not be able to guess who it is, and they would definitely love trying to figure it out。 But I knew who it was。 。。。more

This book is a middle grade chapter book about a girl named Hayley who is the star of a kids mystery tv series, and also solves mysteries of her own。 There are about 20 chapters, and about 5 pages per chapter bringing this book in at about 180 pages。 Each chapter has a very detailed black and white picture, some take up a whole page while others are small。 The illustrations are definitely in the popular style and would draw in children much like the cover would。 In addition, it is written by a 1 This book is a middle grade chapter book about a girl named Hayley who is the star of a kids mystery tv series, and also solves mysteries of her own。 There are about 20 chapters, and about 5 pages per chapter bringing this book in at about 180 pages。 Each chapter has a very detailed black and white picture, some take up a whole page while others are small。 The illustrations are definitely in the popular style and would draw in children much like the cover would。 In addition, it is written by a 13-year-old social media influencer, so I think that would bring in the pre-teens as well! It is a mystery so there are a few “scary” elements but it is mainly just a thief and things going missing。 Definitely nothing for parents or teachers to be worried about。 The story also has some positive lessons such as friendship, working together and being kind to others。 I could definitely see my Grade 3 students reading and enjoying this book。 It is a slightly longer early chapterbook but I think that it wouldn’t be too intimidating for new chapterbook readers。 I would recommend this book for children in grades 2-5, with the target audience probably being grades 3&4。 I really appreciate the opportunity from Netgalley and the publisher to read and review an advance copy of this book! I am looking forward to purchasing a copy for my students in the future! 。。。more
