Super fun way to explore human anatomy and physiology through crafts and activities— great for homeschooling adjunct for 9 yo — hands on kid friendly projects with mostly stuff we already had laying around the house! Colorful illustrations。 Inclusive themes - including how hearing aides work/look like。

This was a fun introduction to body science。 I liked the diversity of the book and building the models was fun。 I tried to build them with a 6-year-old but they required a fair amount of help。 I'm sure a 9-year-old would already be more capable of making the models independently。 But this way we spend more time together and were able to name things along the way。 The pictures were just simple enough to understand on a manageable level but not too abstract to be inaccurate。 Overall, a great book This was a fun introduction to body science。 I liked the diversity of the book and building the models was fun。 I tried to build them with a 6-year-old but they required a fair amount of help。 I'm sure a 9-year-old would already be more capable of making the models independently。 But this way we spend more time together and were able to name things along the way。 The pictures were just simple enough to understand on a manageable level but not too abstract to be inaccurate。 Overall, a great book to learn about human biology together。 。。。more

This book has a lot of good information, photos, illustrations, and hands on activities to learn about the human body。 It would go great with a human body unit study。 We added it to our human body unit study from our homeschool curriculum。

I thought this book is great for older elementary and younger middle schoolers。 It provides age appropriate information about human bodies and prompts questions from kids that lead to educational conversations。 Highly recommend!

Currently going through this with the kids。。。Great mix of facts, drawings, photos and activities to keep the interest high。 Lots of diversity with the people in the pictures。。 The kids like to flip through the different organ systems and quiz dad on the facts they learned。 Favorite projects so far: making bones, reaction time ruler catching game, poop diary, and capillary action。 I received an advanced copy from the publisher and author。。。All opinions are my own。

2。5 Stars。。。 This book feels very unfinished。 It also seems all over the place as far its audience。 What age is this book targeting? As someone who has taught school to kids ages 4 to 11, I had to wonder。 The language seems geared more towards older kids, the art to younger kids, the experiments to kids around grades 2-3。 In addition, it addresses topics, such as puberty, that are not taught to the young ones。 Senses, yes。 Parts of the body, yes。 Systems, DNA, reproduction, not until they are ol 2。5 Stars。。。 This book feels very unfinished。 It also seems all over the place as far its audience。 What age is this book targeting? Kids and their parents? Or teachers and their students? I think it is trying to do too much within one volume。 Thank you to NetGalley and Storey Publishing for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion。 。。。more
