It took a minute to warm up, but once it did I was enthralled by the world Gatsby made for himself。 Heartbroken for Mr。 Gatz。 Tom is insufferable。 This book had some beautiful writing。 Moments between the glitz and glamor that startled me into realization。 And now I know what the green light means 💚

An amazing book that uncovers the ugly side of avarice and wealth。 And the type of people who take advantage of any opportunity to imbibe in that societal rank。

a little over rated, I can’t expect the film to be much better。 a basic plot however I did enjoy the common theme of false appearances and the love story gatsby has for daisy。 I wanted to read more about their past though。 I expect it was a lot more dramatic in the time period it was written in。a lot of build up for a disappointing ending。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 despite all the sad and horrible things that happened in the 1920s , the book was really great and I enjoyed it! I am a hopeless romantic so this is my kind of story but the ending was so sad to me🥲 and I HATE DAISY BUCHANA she’s a selfish turd。 i love gatsby because he did the most to get the girl he wanted 🥲I would of rated a 5/5 but the ending had me in tears in class because we had to read this book as a class and it was so sad
