LIFECHANGING!!!!One of the best devotionals I have read in a while。 Opened my eyes to a lot of things! God Bless you Rick Warren for allowing God to use you!

I was a skeptic about this book。 I always thought I knew what this book was about and thought it was apart of the prosperity movement。 Well I was definitely wrong。 This is a good read for Christians young in their walk as it shows them it’s not about them but God。 We are not living for ourselves but for God。

Christine Nguyen

Good basics of Christianity

This was an excellent devotion for someone who feels lost in his/ her life and needs guidance for returning to the will of God。 It's even great for someone who knows his/her worth is found in God, but needs a little more clarity。 It's set up as a devotional, so it was nice to read through and reflect on the questions in a journal。 I would highly recommend this book。 This was an excellent devotion for someone who feels lost in his/ her life and needs guidance for returning to the will of God。 It's even great for someone who knows his/her worth is found in God, but needs a little more clarity。 It's set up as a devotional, so it was nice to read through and reflect on the questions in a journal。 I would highly recommend this book。 。。。more

I began this book several times, but hadn’t finished it until I read it with my wife。 There are so many highlights that it’s hard to nail down the best lessons from the book, however, the opening line, “it’s not about you” is a powerful opening sentence that sets the tone of this life altering devotional。

This book transformed my life and taught me so much that I need to know in my Christian faith! The purpose driven Church is up next!

If there is a heaven, this book is hell。 I would give it a -1 star if I could。

3。5 stars This book was quite good。 It was an eye opener to certain parts of the Christian walk that I never focused on which is great。 By the end I felt it was quite repetitive of what the earlier chapters touched upon which left me doubting if 42 days was necessary。 Overall a real good book with good nuggets within that I’ll carry throughout the rest of my life and a good reset book to get me refocused on my purpose and mission on the earth。

Great devotional!

This book was very annoying。。。。I have to admit not everything in it was bad and some things were convicting and encouraging but。。。plenty of the book was scripture taken out of context, terrible paraphrasing, and shallow translations of scripture to back up arguments that the scripture in it's original language did not mean to back up。 Also, there was too much focus on the individual rather than on God 。。。initially it was all about how life isn't about you but then it proceeded to focus on lookin This book was very annoying。。。。I have to admit not everything in it was bad and some things were convicting and encouraging but。。。plenty of the book was scripture taken out of context, terrible paraphrasing, and shallow translations of scripture to back up arguments that the scripture in it's original language did not mean to back up。 Also, there was too much focus on the individual rather than on God 。。。initially it was all about how life isn't about you but then it proceeded to focus on looking into yourself and making decisions in life in regards to your calling based on how you feel about it rather than on scripture and prayer。 Also。 A bunch of jargon about self love and misplaced positions on the most important things about being a Christian。 There were many contradictions that left me confused as to what he was trying to communicate。Also, the author came across as very egotistical in why we should listen to him and how the church that he pastors is so amazing *and* all the other resources were books that *he* wrote or someone from *his* church。 Absolutely no outside resource backing up his book。 。。。I would definitely never recommend this to anyone。 If you're looking for a book to give you purpose in your life。。。read the Bible! But, if you want to read another book besides that there are many others。。。 Don't waste your time on this one。 。。。more

I read this book almost 20 years ago and it changed my life completely。I read this book when I was 14 at a time when I did not feel comfortable with myself or my life or my family。 It was a very dark and miserable time for me。 I read this book and I actually cried because I felt Gods love for the first time in my life。 I got baptized two weeks later。 And witness so many miracles that God had put in order in my life。 The race is not a sprint it is a marathon。 I have been through so much in such a I read this book almost 20 years ago and it changed my life completely。I read this book when I was 14 at a time when I did not feel comfortable with myself or my life or my family。 It was a very dark and miserable time for me。 I read this book and I actually cried because I felt Gods love for the first time in my life。 I got baptized two weeks later。 And witness so many miracles that God had put in order in my life。 The race is not a sprint it is a marathon。 I have been through so much in such a short life and I’m thankful for it all。 I am being shaped into a diamond through Christ。 I reread this book recently and remembered all my life’s testimony。 It all started from this book that God was calling me to Him。 。。。more

Days 29 through 35 and Day 40 are what I thought the whole book would cover。 I was disappointed and have no idea how this has sold 35 million copies。

Un libro práctico, sugiero tomarse el tiempo para leerlo。 Un libro para regalar junto a una Biblia。

It was inspiring to me and helped clarify my purpose here on Earth。 I have read it numerous times, sometimes with groups。 This book helped me focus on my purpose。 I have deep respect for Rick Warren。The Bible is God’s inspired word and my ultimate guidebook。

The Purpose-driven life is perfect for finding out God's plan or purpose for your life。 Rick goes over the following in detail and why we should spend time worshiping God, loving other believers, becoming like Christ, serving others with our gifts, and telling others about Him。 The Purpose-driven life is perfect for finding out God's plan or purpose for your life。 Rick goes over the following in detail and why we should spend time worshiping God, loving other believers, becoming like Christ, serving others with our gifts, and telling others about Him。 。。。more
