Why did I think the trauma was over？ Why did I think I would be okay？ Excited but scared for the next issues， in which I hope we might start to see someone being happy again or something

It’s crazy how characters can begin to feel like family， and how emotional it can feel to see them grow。 I parted ways with this story a long time ago and came back to it randomly， i did not expect for this reunion to be so emotional and important to me but it was。 I can’t wait to keep growing with these characters， I love where the story is going。

So Saga’s back after years of hiatus only to…go back on hiatus。 Despite being plenty， plenty annoyed， I did like catching up with everyone。 The family’s back and a little weirder， much of the fresh grief is skipped to focus on how they recovered， and something evil’s stirring with that…that guy…with the bat wings……。 Damn， Saga feels weird to read in a staggered， one-issue-a-month form。 It has the weirdest progression/momentum。

Finally back from hiatus， and still recognisably its mad， beautiful， impossible self。 Although for all that it's always been a book capable of a savage reversal， and for all that war is hell and gets worse the longer it goes along， there was one cliffhanger here whose sheer horridness made me think more of The Walking Dead。 Still， I suppose there's a reason BKV is the only other man who got to write for that in comics。 Set against which， there's one issue which is very nearly heartwarming straig Finally back from hiatus， and still recognisably its mad， beautiful， impossible self。 Although for all that it's always been a book capable of a savage reversal， and for all that war is hell and gets worse the longer it goes along， there was one cliffhanger here whose sheer horridness made me think more of The Walking Dead。 Still， I suppose there's a reason BKV is the only other man who got to write for that in comics。 Set against which， there's one issue which is very nearly heartwarming straight through。 But， you know， Saga， and if you've made it this far you should know never to let your guard down， as much as the story may tempt you。 At least trade readers won't then have to deal with the big feels of the letter column on top of whatever the story proper has inflicted last month。 。。。more

I don't know if this is an entirely satisfying return for the series， but I also don't think it needed or wanted to be。 After the events immediately before this new chapter starts， taking some time to reset and establish a new status quo is smart， and Vaughan and Staples do that incredibly well here （because of course they do）。 The writing is as sharp as ever， the continued commitment to worldbuilding riveting， and the characterization， despite not being exactly what I wanted， as solid as ever。 I don't know if this is an entirely satisfying return for the series， but I also don't think it needed or wanted to be。 After the events immediately before this new chapter starts， taking some time to reset and establish a new status quo is smart， and Vaughan and Staples do that incredibly well here （because of course they do）。 The writing is as sharp as ever， the continued commitment to worldbuilding riveting， and the characterization， despite not being exactly what I wanted， as solid as ever。 Staples is in especially high form， too， and arguably delivers some of her most impressive visuals thus far， which is saying a lot， considering how consistently lively， creative， and gorgeous this book has been since the start。Vaughan is laying a lot of groundwork here， and most of it works。 Did I wish we had more of certain characters experiencing or talking about certain emotions and experiences？ Yes， I did， but that's not Vaughan's style， and I know we're going to get there eventually， so I can be patient。 I still struggled to find my footing in this new chapter， though， because it felt like the story had moved on from previous events when I hadn't yet （which I acknowledge is a side-effect of having just caught up on the series， like， six months ago）。 Thankfully， the foundation that's developed here is stellar， and seeing Vaughan and Staples reset the table for the next half of their story is equal parts exciting， infuriating， and terrifying。 I can't wait to see all the creative new ways they'll break my heart。 。。。more

It's so great to be reading Saga again， after 4 years of hiatus， i can´t believe it yet。 Brian and Fiona are halfway through this story and i can't wait to read what they have for us。 I love reading Saga and is one of my safe places， the last issue made me cry more than i expected， i love this characters so much and i really miss Marko。 And now we wait again。。。 It's so great to be reading Saga again， after 4 years of hiatus， i can´t believe it yet。 Brian and Fiona are halfway through this story and i can't wait to read what they have for us。 I love reading Saga and is one of my safe places， the last issue made me cry more than i expected， i love this characters so much and i really miss Marko。 And now we wait again。。。 。。。more

The fact that the HIATUS IS OVER！ Is so so good to see。 Love the original three people are still apart of it， the art as always is beautiful。 I loved seeing new characters and seeing how they all fit together and interact。 Hazel dealing with her grief is fascinating and so raw。 The brother sister dynamic ahh I love it！ Of course， chaos， explosions and lying cats are all back！ Everyone is still on the hunt for Hazel and her mom will do whatever it takes to protect her family。
