Damn， this man is tortured， he just can’t catch a break。 Makes you wonder， if Batman just went to therapy would he still feel the need to be Batman？Also， really pretty art。 Also， great atmosphere。 Gotham felt stifling and oppressive and unrelenting in its harsh rainy weather。 Also， Catwoman can step on me。

Fun story with many twists and turns， full of rage， grief， moral decisions and romance as a cherry on top。 Great integration of every character that appears throughout the collection， where that might be someone essential to the story or just a small cameo。 The pacing was great and the story was always progressing organically。 Definitely looking forward to reading more batman comics！9/10

Hush is a great jumping on point to 2000s Batman comics and Jeph Loeb mastered the craft of writing with such an effortless flow during both the dialogue and narration （Batman's internal monologue） that it could serve as a case study for aspiring comic book writers。 The art is decent， even though I'm not a fan of Jim Lee's style。 My reason for giving it 3 stars only is simple: Hush is supposed to be a murder mystery first and foremost， but it's not a particularly good one at that。 90% of the sto Hush is a great jumping on point to 2000s Batman comics and Jeph Loeb mastered the craft of writing with such an effortless flow during both the dialogue and narration （Batman's internal monologue） that it could serve as a case study for aspiring comic book writers。 The art is decent， even though I'm not a fan of Jim Lee's style。 My reason for giving it 3 stars only is simple: Hush is supposed to be a murder mystery first and foremost， but it's not a particularly good one at that。 90% of the story elements serve only one purpose: re-establish the Batman mythos， his supporting cast and rogues gallery。 The narrative thread， the mystery plot， that ties the semi-episodic issues together is so thin， so arbitrary and so predictable （even without the popcultural osmosis which might have spoiled it already）， that it might as well not even exist。 The final twist seems to improve it somewhat， until you realize how adventitious the posteriori justification of the real-real antagonists motivation truly is。 What makes it especially frustrating is that with a few small rewrites and more focus this could have been an absolute masterpiece， not just a good Batman story among many。 。。。more
