the pictures were so beautiful and i learned about the existence of many interesting minerals and crystals and rocks etc but there was little to no actual information about them just a 4-celled chart with barebones facts and then paragraphs upon paragraphs of spiritual stuff ，， like not even a brief history of the mineral just straight into the pseudoscience！！ and there were no sources for the spiritual info either， like for a couple they were like "the ancient Egyptians used this crystal to cur the pictures were so beautiful and i learned about the existence of many interesting minerals and crystals and rocks etc but there was little to no actual information about them just a 4-celled chart with barebones facts and then paragraphs upon paragraphs of spiritual stuff ，， like not even a brief history of the mineral just straight into the pseudoscience！！ and there were no sources for the spiritual info either， like for a couple they were like "the ancient Egyptians used this crystal to cure blood disease which is why we think it can cure blood problems" like okay at least there's something to back that claim up but for most of them they literally never mention where they get these spiritual claims from im pretty sure they made them up on the spot also its hard to get behind a book that claims certain crystals can ""cure"" autism （eyeroll） and cure cancer and diabetes like do you think im stupid 。。。more

This book is not meant to be read straight through （although I did just that。） It is a resource filled with much useful information on individual stones， rocks， crystals。。。including their availability， location， and healing properties。 It will be a useful reference book for many years。

My first book ever on crystals and wow… I had no idea just how many there were and then Bible 2 and 3 came along too！ This series will forever have a place on my bookshelves as it’s the best reference book out there for my witchcraft practice。 I’ve learned so much from this book。

'Definitive' isn't a word I would use。 'Crystal Bible' is a great starting/quick reference book， but it's not the end-all-be-all。As I stated above， this is honestly a good quick reference or starting point for working with crystals。 Some of the information should be taken with a grain of salt as there are a couple of issues here。 Some of the names for crystals have been changed from their universally known names， to uncommon alternatives。 Not sure why， but not a choice I would have made。 Also no 'Definitive' isn't a word I would use。 'Crystal Bible' is a great starting/quick reference book， but it's not the end-all-be-all。As I stated above， this is honestly a good quick reference or starting point for working with crystals。 Some of the information should be taken with a grain of salt as there are a couple of issues here。 Some of the names for crystals have been changed from their universally known names， to uncommon alternatives。 Not sure why， but not a choice I would have made。 Also not sure how I feel about a white woman talking about chakras。All in all， not the worst reference material。 Just not the best either。 。。。more
