Okay， Sasha Malykhin like swooooon 😍This was different from Mariana Zapata’s usually grumpy/sunshine trope and I was there for it。 I loved the story line， the hilarious chemistry between Gaby and her twin brother， the chemistry between Gaby and the rest of the band， and lastly the friend to romantic relationship between Gaby and Sasha。 Only complaint was that I wished Sasha was a bit edgier and rough around the edges haha， he seemed to sweet to be the front man of a rock band！ But that’s just me Okay， Sasha Malykhin like swooooon 😍This was different from Mariana Zapata’s usually grumpy/sunshine trope and I was there for it。 I loved the story line， the hilarious chemistry between Gaby and her twin brother， the chemistry between Gaby and the rest of the band， and lastly the friend to romantic relationship between Gaby and Sasha。 Only complaint was that I wished Sasha was a bit edgier and rough around the edges haha， he seemed to sweet to be the front man of a rock band！ But that’s just me and my personal red flags :D 。。。more

It actually kinda made me really mad how her brother and friends treated her。 Like their form of “messing with her” and “having fun” was making jokes about her body and causing her serious physical harm ALL THE TIME and she just let it happen bc that’s all she’s known since she was 5 and was taught to believe that’s how you show love。 I don’t care what you say， no one who claims to love you the way her brother and friends did would not curl over laughing after you nearly got your jaw broken （bef It actually kinda made me really mad how her brother and friends treated her。 Like their form of “messing with her” and “having fun” was making jokes about her body and causing her serious physical harm ALL THE TIME and she just let it happen bc that’s all she’s known since she was 5 and was taught to believe that’s how you show love。 I don’t care what you say， no one who claims to love you the way her brother and friends did would not curl over laughing after you nearly got your jaw broken （before making sure you’re ok at least） or spill your secret about something that had mad you insecure for 10 years to a bunch of strangers just because they were hammered。 I was really uncomfortable every time something like this would happen and then they would do less than the bare minimum to “apologize” and she would just forgive them instantly because that little thing showed their love for her like no sis， they literally caused you serious bodily harm and constantly dragged you into trouble， they can’t make up for that by braiding your hair every once in a while or giving you a sweet look。Anyways… other than that， the romance was ok but their interactions kinda gave off the same vibes as her interactions with her brother/ friends just with slightly less platonic physical contact so I wasn’t really getting “romantic soulmate” vibes， just kinda “touchy homies” vibesOh also， she gave off major “I’m not like other girls” vibes because all but one of her friends were male and her humor consisted entirely of poop/fart/balls jokes。 And to make it worse， every one thought she was genuinely hilarious like being funny was her top personality trait when she literally just said the most generic middle school boy jokes and comments known to man。 。。。more

I really enjoyed this one。Marianna Zapata has definitely become a new favorite author！I’ve read 7 of her books and I’ve liked every single one。 Maybe I haven’t absolutely loved every single one but I’ve definitely liked them all in different ways and for different reasons！This is her shortest book and I think it really worked， I’m so use to her writing really looong slow burn romances so a relatively short one was a nice refresh and just what I needed to get out of a semi-reading slump I was in。 I really enjoyed this one。Marianna Zapata has definitely become a new favorite author！I’ve read 7 of her books and I’ve liked every single one。 Maybe I haven’t absolutely loved every single one but I’ve definitely liked them all in different ways and for different reasons！This is her shortest book and I think it really worked， I’m so use to her writing really looong slow burn romances so a relatively short one was a nice refresh and just what I needed to get out of a semi-reading slump I was in。I really liked the setting of the book and enjoyed the found family/brother’s best friends being like brothers to the main character， Gaby and I enjoyed the love interest， Sacha， he was really sweet， a little unrealistic being so sweet yet being a rockstar but very sweet and kind， and I really enjoyed reading their love story。I will say I did not like all the gay jokes， the jokes about pooping （there’s a joke like that is every MZ and I don’t really get it but whatever）， and I got sick of Mason making jokes about marrying Gaby one day， it was really annoying after the first few times， especially after he knew she liked Sacha as more than a friend。Oh and also the slut shaming… wow！ It was really over the top and unnecessary！ Gaby literally calls two girl fans prostitutes or hookers all because they’re talking to Sacha and his band mates and they’re wearing skirts， like hello， that’s not ok！ And she also calls Sacha’s ex-girlfriend a slut and “The Little Mermaid” and “Ronald McDonald” all because her hair isn’t naturally red… like that’s just you being a judgmental bitch！ Who the fuck cares if she dyed her hair red and it’s not a natural color？？ I’ll never understand people that get their panties in a twist all because people have the nerve to dye THEIR own hair some unnatural color… it’s not your hair， so get over it！But other than that stuff I really did enjoy the book， it’s not a new favorite but it is one I enjoyed enough by an author I’ve really liked so far。Oh fun fact， The Cloud Collision， the head liner band in this book， the band Sacha is in as the lead singer… it’s mentioned in Dear Aaron， it’s Ruby’s favorite band。 Plus they mention Kulti and Lingus too。 I love finding out how all Mariana Zapata’s books are connected！Order of favorites:1） From Lukov With Love2） The Wall of Winnipeg and Me3） Wait for It4） Kulti5） Hands Down6） Rhythm， Chord and Malykhin7） Dear Aaron（Still need to read UnderLocke， All Rhodes Lead Here， The Best Thing and Luna and the Lie， going to try to read those four before the year is up。 Not really interested in reading Lingus， if I’m being honest， maybe that will change but I doubt it。） 。。。more

Not the best of Mariana Zappata but I still enjoyed it a lot。 Slow burn friends to lover。 Gaby go to sell merch for her twin brother band tour but they touring with an other band… the dynamics of the group Gany， Eli， Mason and Gordon is just perfect they love each other but still pick and jock around and made a hell of Gaby’s life。 Sometimes I wanted to slap Gaby in the face on how blind she was about the feeling and chemistry with Sasha。 I just wish they’re were more music things。

3。5 stars In perfect Zapata style， this book was just a wonderful read！ I only wish the ending has a bit more it then what we got to see about Gaby and Sacha’s life after they actually ended up together！ But a nice read nonetheless
