This one really struck me emotionally。 If you have a narcissist for a parent then you probably know exactly what I’m talking about。 I feel such empathy for Seiichi, never being allowed to be who you really are and being destroyed by the person the world tells you will keep you safe。 It really is like being killed by that person。 Having an internal monologue that is like them from all the emotional damage they’ve done, that actively gaslights you, is also painfully relatable。The tension Oshimi ha This one really struck me emotionally。 If you have a narcissist for a parent then you probably know exactly what I’m talking about。 I feel such empathy for Seiichi, never being allowed to be who you really are and being destroyed by the person the world tells you will keep you safe。 It really is like being killed by that person。 Having an internal monologue that is like them from all the emotional damage they’ve done, that actively gaslights you, is also painfully relatable。The tension Oshimi has built in this manga, the trauma he’s experienced from his own mother that’s he’s alluded to, is really evident here and the scene on the hill was horror movie level dread。 I really like this manga- it may be one of my favorite ones he’s ever done。 。。。more

A major push towards freedom。 Towards realizing what being unchained feels like。 How beat back the sensation of being strangled by someone who "cares" for you。 This was a excellent chapter into a big fuck you towards mama but also this can turn around quick。。。 A major push towards freedom。 Towards realizing what being unchained feels like。 How beat back the sensation of being strangled by someone who "cares" for you。 This was a excellent chapter into a big fuck you towards mama but also this can turn around quick。。。 。。。more

I thought it's suppose to be the breather volume or something like it, and I actually felt relieved that I finally see the healthy, spotless, calm look on Seiichi's face after finding the truth about his past, but it immediately took a huge turn with Shigeru's unexpected visit。 And I ache for Seiichi's existence。。。 I thought it's suppose to be the breather volume or something like it, and I actually felt relieved that I finally see the healthy, spotless, calm look on Seiichi's face after finding the truth about his past, but it immediately took a huge turn with Shigeru's unexpected visit。 And I ache for Seiichi's existence。。。 。。。more

Another brief reprieve from the onslaught of terror and trauma。 Seiichi and his girlfriend resolve to overcome their abusive childhoods, even symbolically "killing" their mothers。 This volume felt emotionally cathartic and may have even been a decent place to end the series。 Seeing as there are more installments, however, I have a feeling Seiichi still has trauma to endure before the end。 Another brief reprieve from the onslaught of terror and trauma。 Seiichi and his girlfriend resolve to overcome their abusive childhoods, even symbolically "killing" their mothers。 This volume felt emotionally cathartic and may have even been a decent place to end the series。 Seeing as there are more installments, however, I have a feeling Seiichi still has trauma to endure before the end。 。。。more

Oshimi maestro dell’horror psicologico。 Altro volume eccezionale!

My first Oshimi, and I was a little thrown by the extremely shitty art style at first, but I quickly realized that it fits the subject matter perfectly, and it soon became one of my favorite aspects of this dark little thrill ride through hell。 My only complaint is that it still has like 3 books to go!!
