I started reading the Bible cover-to-cover a couple years ago--yes， it has taken me this long to read that way b/c I read every single page。 （I read a lot of other books as well。） This was a bucket list activity。 Now I will start all over and continue reading it， but will do so thematically rather than Genesis through Revelations in page order。 Anyway， I tried a few different Bibles--a Women's Study Bible， David Jeremiah Study Bible， etc。， and as nice as the extra editorial "study" material on e I started reading the Bible cover-to-cover a couple years ago--yes， it has taken me this long to read that way b/c I read every single page。 （I read a lot of other books as well。） This was a bucket list activity。 Now I will start all over and continue reading it， but will do so thematically rather than Genesis through Revelations in page order。 Anyway， I tried a few different Bibles--a Women's Study Bible， David Jeremiah Study Bible， etc。， and as nice as the extra editorial "study" material on every page is， it also made the book heavy and cumbersome。 I switched to this edition and found it much easier to lift， read， navigate， and focus on the actual text of the Bible and not the additional material。 This is a great Bible for many reasons。 It's portable and easy to take on the road。 It's lightweight for at-home reading。 The print is big enough for an average middle-age person with drug-store reading glasses。 NKJV is a reliable translation。 Overall， great Bible。 。。。more
