Summary

When her boyfriend breaks her heart, Alanna goes after his older brother in a quest for revenge。

It would’ve been simple… if he wasn’t also her soon-to-be boss。

Author's Note: this is a full-length standalone, and it will likely be released sooner than the date listed on Amazon。

a bit slowI love that each character got their own ending that is a bit separated from the main characters。 But the story felt like it was dragging on and repetitive on various chapters。 The fate kind of love is beautiful and the writing was amazing but I just wanted things to move along to see how the story unfolds。 vv Spoilers vvI don’t like how she just fell back in love with him even though he was her destiny in the end, felt a little easy

DNF @ 26%I literally don’t understand。 I read the first 3 books in the off limits series and really liked them。

Sigh。 DNF’d at 24%。 idk about you but it’s just very weird to me when an adult “waits” for the minor to be 18 to get with them。 Not only that, but he said pretty weird things when she was 12 and he was 18, and was still the same at 16 and 22。 It felt like grooming。 It was weird hearing him call her “my darling”, “my love”, etc。 And then burying a picture he made for her 18th birthday on her 17th birthday, that later turned out to be a picture of them kissing? No。 It was creepy。 I couldn’t contin Sigh。 DNF’d at 24%。 idk about you but it’s just very weird to me when an adult “waits” for the minor to be 18 to get with them。 Not only that, but he said pretty weird things when she was 12 and he was 18, and was still the same at 16 and 22。 It felt like grooming。 It was weird hearing him call her “my darling”, “my love”, etc。 And then burying a picture he made for her 18th birthday on her 17th birthday, that later turned out to be a picture of them kissing? “Per aspera ad astra”This takes Grumpy-Sunshine, and Second Chance Romances to the next level。 Have you ever had a day where everything that could go wrong, went wrong? Well these two have had the same kind of several years。 Silas is grumpy, and brooding on the outside, but for Alanna he’s the sweet, reassuring and a hopeless romantic。 He cares for Alanna in ways she doesn’t quite understand and has to decide for herself if she loves and trusts him, or… his brother。 Now… the spice in this book i “Per aspera ad astra”This takes Grumpy-Sunshine, and Second Chance Romances to the next level。 Have you ever had a day where everything that could go wrong, went wrong? Just stick with itThe beginning of this book throws you off if you read it based solely on the blurb in the about book section but just stick with it and it all makes sense eventually。I actually loves the way the book is later out even if it did confuse me at first。 Catharina has a way with story telling that pulls you in to the world she has created。。。beautifully done in my opinion

Beautiful storyI have read quite a few stories from this author and I am never disappointed。 This was such a lovely story! My heart really hurt for Si and I’m so glad he and Alanna found their happy ending。 Seriously, Silas had such a beautiful soul, I think I fell in love with him as well。 I really loved that the first 20-something chapters were there so we really could delve into their “before”。 Usually, you don’t get that much backstory and it made their love story that much more bittersweet。

I actually liked this book。 There’s definitely stuff I didn’t like, but overall, I enjoyed the book。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Her best book yet!! The story was a wild twist and turn。 I was so invested in this sweet but heartbreaking love story from the first chapter。 I grew a little impatient waiting for her to get her memories back。 The spicy scenes are top notch…that mirror one, best I’ve ever read! Highly recommend。

DNFSkimmed to 43%I don’t like it when young adults seem so self-possessed。 It’s not a slow burn as much as it was boring。 I kept skimming forward to get to the end so I know what happens and I can check off the book as completed…。 I even got tired of skimming。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This book's blurb needs to be rewritten。 That's not at all what this book is about or what experience awaits when you begin reading。 That's why I gave this 2 stars。 This is not "off limits" or taboo ex's older brother for some revenge。 This is a story focused around tragic losses and amnesia。 The main plot point is the FMCs memory loss。 She was never the younger brother's to begin with。 He was a temporary, underwhelming, fill in used as a device for revenge by his own mother against the MMC。 The This book's blurb needs to be rewritten。 That's not at all what this book is about or what experience awaits when you begin reading。 That's why I gave this 2 stars。 This is not "off limits" or taboo ex's older brother for some revenge。 This is a story focused around tragic losses and amnesia。 The main plot point is the FMCs memory loss。 She was never the younger brother's to begin with。 He was a temporary, underwhelming, fill in used as a device for revenge by his own mother against the MMC。 The only hint about amnesia is the last part where the blurb says some secrets were better left uncovered or something along those lines。。。 Pray tell。。。 What secrets?! Nothing was uncovered。 She literally had amnesia。 She forgot her life。 Those are not secrets to leave buried。 🤦🏼‍♀️Now pretending this book was accurately represented in it's blurb。 It would get 3 stars for an average read。 Up to 30% the love story was tugging at my heart, but it was like every single dramatic thing that could ever be shoved into a plot was shoved into this book。 And it didn't even stop there。 It got MORE AND MORE dramatic as it went on。 It was way too much。 The second half of the book was just a mess。 Amnesia plot lines aren't for me in the first place though。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I liked the first half, the second half was terrible。 What do you mean he could not find her? That was so dumb。 He has one of the biggest security firms in the world and he could not find her cause she was in Europe? Bs。 I didn’t like who he was the second half。 It was like a different book。 This had the potential to be amazing but it fell way short

I really didn’t want to like this book。 Some of the main themes are potentially triggering and give me the ick。 Straight up grooming in the beginning there。 But the love story and drama did end up pulling me in enough to get me to finish the book。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 So cheesy honestly but so so good。 I think I might just be a sucker for a good romance though。 I never knew what direction it was going to take or the little details it would circle back to。 Silas’ character seemed to do a HUGE shift in the second part, which I loved him still, but I definitely didn’t imagine him as the same person。 Alanna stayed consistent even after loosing her memories and I liked that。 I really couldn’t put it down。 But definitely if I described the basic outline to someone, So cheesy honestly but so so good。 I think I might just be a sucker for a good romance though。 I never knew what direction it was going to take or the little details it would circle back to。 Silas’ character seemed to do a HUGE shift in the second part, which I loved him still, but I definitely didn’t imagine him as the same person。 Alanna stayed consistent even after loosing her memories and I liked that。 I really couldn’t put it down。 But definitely if I described the basic outline to someone, rich girl, poor boy, dead parents, girl looses memories, guy gets rich, girl dates guy’s brother, guy has to win her all over again。 How many different tropes in one book? He even pretends to be dating her way at the beginning of the book when a guy is creepy to her。 OH AND THERES AN AGE GAP。 Idk how this author put every single trope in one book and moreso, I really don’t know how it worked SO well 。。。more

A Forever Kind off LoveWhat a wonderful book。 Silva's and Alanna meet when she is 13 and he 18 at the cemetery not knowing that their lives would connect over and over。 Their story is fraught with numerous trails, but love conquers all。 Even when she loses her memories! 2。5 in all honestyIt felt like a lifetime love story。 Where all of it is predictable and you know it’s a cheese fest。 The story line was good, the dialogue was just… amateurish。 Dope sex scenes though。 Lol。

Wow, what a story! I loved this。 It is broken down into two parts; the past and the present。 The past gives us the history behind these two characters and it was everything we could've wanted。 We learn about their struggles and literally fall in love with both of them。 I can't say much more with out giving anything away but I highly recommend reading this book。 It will take you through all the emotions of a great story。 The one thing I wish was that it wasn't portrayed as off-limits as ex-boyfri Wow, what a story! I saw this on Tik Tok and was really looking forward to reading it, but it was not what I expected。 I thought it’d be a mysterious older brother of the boyfriend and an unspoken attraction when the main character met him。 Then the boyfriend fucked up and the older brother went for the girl。 But I didn’t even get to the boyfriend part。 1/4 of the book in and we are still in the past。 Silas is a creep who as an adult asks a teenager if she’s ever sucked dick and calls her sweet girl。 I gagged。 He I saw this on Tik Tok and was really looking forward to reading it, but it was not what I expected。 I thought it’d be a mysterious older brother of the boyfriend and an unspoken attraction when the main character met him。 Then the boyfriend fucked up and the older brother went for the girl。 But I didn’t even get to the boyfriend part。 1/4 of the book in and we are still in the past。 Silas is a creep who as an adult asks a teenager if she’s ever sucked dick and calls her sweet girl。 I gagged。 He freaks out that she walked in a park with a boy and put herself in danger。 I love the over protective who hurt you trope, but the scene was like someone was doing a satire of the trope。 Then the main characters dad is killed or no he paid someone to kill him for a life insurance fraud。 Apparently this well known successful businessman had never heard of an LLC or limited liability and took on all his business debts personally。 Yet some of his debts died with him (lol that doesn’t happen your estate is used until all debts are gone)。 Then our main character ends up in homeless shelter she volunteered at。There’s no slow burn between the main characters。 There’s no building of their relationship。 They just “connect。” Silas is annoying。 A girl in his college class invites him to a party and asks for his number and he can’t understand why she’s asking for his number。 We are just supposed to believe he got into the best college in the state and can’t figure out why。 I understand why these characters don’t have friends。 They’re so boring。 Silas says he likes girls with a sassy mouth。 “Ray” is the lease sassy person I know。 She’s the nice, unproblematic, sweet and innocent girl, who is just the victim of everything。 The tragedy of all the parents dying feels lazy and forced to make the one dimensional characters interesting。 As if Silas couldn’t contest the will。 Also the way Silas speaks is too formal for a guy in his twenties。 I made it 25% and we still weren’t in present day and the two main character’s love story is over。 。。。more
