The STEMinest by Ali Hazelwood is a series of three novellas。 They focus one three best friends, all women in STEM。 I love reading about women in STEM and badass women in general but this series was a bit disappointing。 The first two novellas barely focused on the women’s careers and more on their drama and romance。 The last book, Below Zero met all my expectations for how much it focuses on her career。 I was very happy about actually learning about what Hannah does, her journey getting there an The STEMinest by Ali Hazelwood is a series of three novellas。 They focus one three best friends, all women in STEM。 I love reading about women in STEM and badass women in general but this series was a bit disappointing。 The first two novellas barely focused on the women’s careers and more on their drama and romance。 The last book, Below Zero met all my expectations for how much it focuses on her career。 I was very happy about actually learning about what Hannah does, her journey getting there and how she wants to advance, in more detail than the other books。Ali Hazelwood has a preference for tiny petit women with huge strong men, which kind of bothers me。 Why do all of them have to be these itty bitty women, appearing so weak and in need of a big strong man? She literally mentions their size comparisons in each book several times as if she doesn’t want you to forget。 She is a great writer, there is no doubt about that but I feel like she could have changed it up a bit for at least one of the novellas。Overall, I enjoyed this series。 I thought it was a great concept and look forward to reading more of her books in the future。 I give the series as a whole 3。5/5 and would recommend it 。。。more

Literally Ali Hazelwood can never write a bad track。 These three novellas went so well together, and I loved the mixture of science, feminist icons, and super supportive and loving and smart (and hot) boyfriends。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I’ve decided to mark and review these novellas in their not-yet-published-anthology form because my Goodreads 2022 “average page count” is embarrassingly low due to the number of manga, novellas, short stories, and Fear Street books that I have read this year… since I have the option to have thee count as a single longer book, I’m going to take it。 Even if said book technically isn’t out yet。 Under One Roof:July 18, 2022This was SO GOOD。 I thought I was getting sick of the enemies-to-lovers trop I’ve decided to mark and review these novellas in their not-yet-published-anthology form because my Goodreads 2022 “average page count” is embarrassingly low due to the number of manga, novellas, short stories, and Fear Street books that I have read this year… since I have the option to have thee count as a single longer book, I’m going to take it。 Even if said book technically isn’t out yet。 Under One Roof:July 18, 2022This was SO GOOD。 I thought I was getting sick of the enemies-to-lovers trope but this was FANTASTIC。 I think I have officially fallen in love with Ali Hazelwood。 I recently read The Love Hypothesis which was amazing… and now this… She is on fire 🔥I am so annoyed that the wait list for the following two novellas is currently at “several months” at the library。 I’m hoping that everyone reads and returns the books super fast so that that estimation is way off and I get them ASAP! 。。。more

Overall, these novellas are absolutely, incredibly, beautifully written。 I can't express how much I love these cute and short stories from her。 I love that every story has this different profession。 They have this different point of view about love and I learn a lot from them! But the men they're having are all extremely hot and perfect!Where did she even get this idea?!Having said that, I can't wait to read more of her work! I'm excited about her next book! Wait?? Is this saying that she’s putting the Steminist Novellas in paperback????? I LOVED all three of them but I only had them in audiobook and I’m DYING for paperback versions

I don’t know in what universe I can find a boy like Liam, Erik and Ian who get attracted and, safe to say, obsessed with the smart girl they just met。 Probably in the Book-Universe。 I liked the novellas but at the same time, I didn’t like them。

I was so excited that Ali Hazelwood was releasing THREE new novellas this year to hold us over between the release of The Love Hypothesis and Love on the Brain。 I was sad they were only released in audio format for a few months before coming out as books, but I gave in and got an audible membership to listen to them。 I decided to review all three of them together because they are all pretty short, and if I am being honest, similar。 If you liked The Love Hypothesis, you will like these novellas。 I was so excited that Ali Hazelwood was releasing THREE new novellas this year to hold us over between the release of The Love Hypothesis and Love on the Brain。 I was sad they were only released in audio format for a few months before coming out as books, but I gave in and got an audible membership to listen to them。 I decided to review all three of them together because they are all pretty short, and if I am being honest, similar。 If you liked The Love Hypothesis, you will like these novellas。 Obviously, there is less time for plot development, which is why I typically do not like novellas as much, but they have a very similar premise: a woman in STEM falls for a tall grumpy/reserved man in an enemies-to-lovers situation。 This is by no means a complaint, as these are some of my favorite tropes and I enjoyed listening to all three! In my opinion, they were released in the order of best to worst。 I loved Stuck With You as the two main characters are diametrically opposed and the slow burn is fantastic。 Stuck With You was an enjoyable listen and the hero was such a simp for Sadie that you can’t help but root for him。 Below Zero was my least favorite, probably because there were a lot of flashbacks/flashforwards that can be a little confusing to listen to on audio, and also the steamy scene had some weird Mars references… if you know, you know。 Below Zero is probably the story that is most similar to TLH, which is both good and bad in my opinion。 Overall, I am glad I picked these up and I recommend them to anyone who liked The Love Hypothesis! I am seriously looking forward to Love on the Brain coming out in just a few months! 。。。more

all these books were very mediocre i hated that they all started with like the characters together the would go back to when then ‘hated each other’。 the love hypothesis is so good but like idk if these novellas even compare to that book。 im hoping the companion book novel of hypothesis isn’t like these。 but women in stem!!

Technically I read the three stories separately and I'm now kind double-rating them as I've rated them all individually。I do love Ali Hazelwood and I did enjoy 2/3 of this anthology。 I think all of them have some failures of logic in the overall set-up but they are written well enough, the leads are charming enough, and the resolution is satisfying enough that I can set that aside。 I did not read the second book (Stuck With You) because the female lead annoyed me too much too early but the other Technically I read the three stories separately and I'm now kind double-rating them as I've rated them all individually。I do love Ali Hazelwood and I did enjoy 2/3 of this anthology。 I think all of them have some failures of logic in the overall set-up but they are written well enough, the leads are charming enough, and the resolution is satisfying enough that I can set that aside。 I did not read the second book (Stuck With You) because the female lead annoyed me too much too early but the other two were good。 。。。more
