English/Spanish review:Hey I thought DC had enough from milking Injustice tits and then I saw this prequel and said oh shit stop it。 But oh surprise this was really good。Joker got his hands on an amulet that permits you to control people, and ends up targeting the JSA。 This is a perfect set-up for the rest of the series。 There's a lot of hints about the future。 WW and Superman not trusting Batman with Joker is the best for me。 And this Joker is pretty different from what I am used to。 He's not th English/Spanish review:Hey I thought DC had enough from milking Injustice tits and then I saw this prequel and said oh shit stop it。 But oh surprise this was really good。Joker got his hands on an amulet that permits you to control people, and ends up targeting the JSA。 This is a perfect set-up for the rest of the series。 There's a lot of hints about the future。 WW and Superman not trusting Batman with Joker is the best for me。 And this Joker is pretty different from what I am used to。 He's not that crazy here and more of as manipulative bastard。 Cool take, especially with what's coming to Harley。 Felt really sad about the JSA。Español:Che,pensé que DC estaba harto de ordeñar las tetas de Injustice ydespués vi esta precuela y dije no mierda basta。 Pero,oh sorpresa, esto está re cheto。Joker consiguió un amuleto que le permite controlar a las personas y termina apuntando a la JSA。 Esta es una configuración perfecta para el resto de la serie。 Hay muchas pistas sobre el futuro。 WW y Superman no confiando en Batman con Joker es la mejor para mí。 Y este Joker es bastante diferente a lo que estoy acostumbrado。 Él no está tan loco y es más como un hdp manipulador。 Buena toma del personaje, especialmente con lo que viene para Harley。Me sentí muy mal por la JSA。 。。。more

Interessante prequel alla saga vera e propria

I choose to read the prequel first and follow the chronological order, and I didn't regret。 The story is short but amazing, got me hooked from the beginning。 It had a chapter in the middle that didn't push the story forward and felt like a waste of time, but all in all, very good comics。 I choose to read the prequel first and follow the chronological order, and I didn't regret。 The story is short but amazing, got me hooked from the beginning。 It had a chapter in the middle that didn't push the story forward and felt like a waste of time, but all in all, very good comics。 。。。more

That was actually incredible, I loved that! And the good thing is, even if you're not into The Injustice Universe, you could still read this and enjoy it for what it is。 Sure there are a bunch of wink-wink Easter eggs that hint to what's to come for the heroes and villains, but at its core it's just a nice contemporary JSA/JLA crossover, honouring the past and setting up the future。 I really enjoyed the art too; It has a very Jorge Jimenez style and I'm curious to see what else Rogê Antônio has That was actually incredible, I loved that! Although a little cheesy at times, it's a really fun read with plenty of action and character moments。 Whilst I'm firmly in the camp of 'The Joker is overused', it works here, especially when it comes to aiding in Harley Quinn's development。The level of chaos created makes for a high stakes, fast paced, conflict-centric story that keeps you on the edge of your seat。 Although a little cheesy at times, it's a really fun read with plenty of action and character moments。 Whilst I'm firmly in the camp of 'The Joker is overused', it works here, especially when it comes to aiding in Harley Quinn's development。The level of chaos created makes for a high stakes, fast paced, conflict-centric story that keeps you on the edge of your seat。 。。。more

This collection was a great look back to how Gods Among Us came to be。 This, a prequel to Injustice Here there is a nice nod to the JSA and the team of yesteryear offering a nice comedic punch and heartwarming addition to this already amazing series。 In this we get a better understanding on how The Joker came into the amulet that eventually leads us to the tyrannous rule under Superman。 My heart is always with Harley。 And here we get a heartbreaking backstory that helps answer how some things ca This collection was a great look back to how Gods Among Us came to be。 This, a prequel to Injustice Here there is a nice nod to the JSA and the team of yesteryear offering a nice comedic punch and heartwarming addition to this already amazing series。 In this we get a better understanding on how The Joker came into the amulet that eventually leads us to the tyrannous rule under Superman。 My heart is always with Harley。 And here we get a heartbreaking backstory that helps answer how some things came to be later in this series。 Not a necessity to read in order to understand and follow the Injustice storyline written before, but certainly a brilliant addition to enhance the already existing series and have a better understanding of its foundation。 Gritty artwork, witty humor, heartbreak and violence that only DC knows how to do。 Definitely recommend to add to the collection of any true fan of Injustice。 。。。more

They are really squeezing every last drop out of the Injustice series。。。but I'm here for it。Before Joker kills Lois he gains a pretty frightening power and begins to pick off the heroes Batman and Superman look up to, the originals, the JSA。 It was so fun to see all these older heroes interacting with the big names and it set up Joker's motivation quite nicely。 Joker's manipulation of the JSA was very fun to watch but then it would get broken up by a subplot that was unnecessary and at times a b They are really squeezing every last drop out of the Injustice series。。。but I'm here for it。Before Joker kills Lois he gains a pretty frightening power and begins to pick off the heroes Batman and Superman look up to, the originals, the JSA。 It was so fun to see all these older heroes interacting with the big names and it set up Joker's motivation quite nicely。 Joker's manipulation of the JSA was very fun to watch but then it would get broken up by a subplot that was unnecessary and at times a bit cringe。 Harley。 Oh Harley。 We did not need a battered woman subplot where Harley leaves the Joker and breaks Ivy out of prison。 Especially because it doesn't add to the plot whatsoever。 Ivy actually calls Joker an "edgelord" and I felt my skin crawl。 We get a lame scene where Ivy threatens Joker and then Ivy and Harley get married。。。It didn't make sense to me, it didn't work for me, and it just slowed down what was otherwise a pretty exciting story。 Also, I hate the forced romantic intimacy between these two characters in general。 Instances of true female friendship are rare, why can't we have love without it being romantic? Especially since there is a pretty strong romantic theme already in the story that actually makes sense, Alan Scott and Jimmy are successfully used to highlight the importance of Lois to Clark。Overall, this was fun。 Does it add anything new to the Injustice plot, not really, but I didn't care because it was just an exciting Joker story。 。。。more

Another Tom Taylor winner! This is how you balance a huge cast whilst keeping this fast-paced and fun。 It’s funny, it’s dark, it’s heartfelt, it’s gory。 It’s Injustice!Get on it。PS, the art is also great。 I really love the style。

Solid prequel。 Year Zero artfully sets up the beginning of the Injustice storyline。 The reason for Joker's actions in Year One become clear, both why he did it and how he got the information to pull it off。 There's a nice bit with Harley and Ivy, too。 Interactions between the Justice League and the generation of heroes who inspired them are interesting to see。 There's some foreshadowing, I think, for Wonder Woman, too。 It shows where her mind was before the events in Year One。 The overall story Solid prequel。 Year Zero artfully sets up the beginning of the Injustice storyline。 The reason for Joker's actions in Year One become clear, both why he did it and how he got the information to pull it off。 There's a nice bit with Harley and Ivy, too。 Interactions between the Justice League and the generation of heroes who inspired them are interesting to see。 There's some foreshadowing, I think, for Wonder Woman, too。 It shows where her mind was before the events in Year One。 The overall story was good。 I was happy with the plot and how it played out and the art was great。 I really liked this depiction of Joker。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Another good entry in this series though it is somewhat "forced。" By forced I mean that this prequel doesn't seem to quite fit the narrative from the first volume [when the Joker tricks Superman into attacking his loved ones]。 This makes it way more premeditated on the Joker's part than that original volume。 Still, an enjoyable read。 Another good entry in this series though it is somewhat "forced。" By forced I mean that this prequel doesn't seem to quite fit the narrative from the first volume [when the Joker tricks Superman into attacking his loved ones]。 This makes it way more premeditated on the Joker's part than that original volume。 Still, an enjoyable read。 。。。more

Some might argue that when the book is set in an alternate reality, and the stakes are so very low, the book's impacts are lessened。Taylor proves absolutely otherwise。This prequel volume, covering 14 issues before Injustice began is nothing short of awe-some。Perhaps what elevates this beyond Marvel's Ultimate universe and countless other alternate reality tales is how close this book feels to the standard timeline。It's just a tick or two off from the regular beat, and so you so quickly forgot th Some might argue that when the book is set in an alternate reality, and the stakes are so very low, the book's impacts are lessened。Taylor proves absolutely otherwise。This prequel volume, covering 14 issues before Injustice began is nothing short of awe-some。Perhaps what elevates this beyond Marvel's Ultimate universe and countless other alternate reality tales is how close this book feels to the standard timeline。It's just a tick or two off from the regular beat, and so you so quickly forgot that this isn't the main storyline。And with that, Taylor revels in the opportunities to write something truly incredible。His work with The Joker here is, possibly, some of the best I have ever read of the character。 Period。And his characterizations of Batman and Superman are so finely etched and well mapped out that I was racing to read the next issue。Sterling stuff that you should read too。 。。。more

This was such a brilliant prequel to the highly acclaimed Elseworlds series。 The world of Injustice is so visceral and equally horrifying to the worlds of DCeased and Kingdom Come。 The inclusion of the JSA and their influence on the modern-day Justice League heroes, as well as the new heights of the Joker’s villainy, make this such a brilliant read。 The artwork really reflects the chaos and darkness that the villain brings upon the heroes, and how his influence darkens the world and its heroes a This was such a brilliant prequel to the highly acclaimed Elseworlds series。 The world of Injustice is so visceral and equally horrifying to the worlds of DCeased and Kingdom Come。 The inclusion of the JSA and their influence on the modern-day Justice League heroes, as well as the new heights of the Joker’s villainy, make this such a brilliant read。 The artwork really reflects the chaos and darkness that the villain brings upon the heroes, and how his influence darkens the world and its heroes as a whole。 。。。more

Usually game tie-in comics are a bit dull, but this was a fun setup to Year One and has some great characters appear in it to ultimately set up a larger plot to be explored。 The artwork was great in this too。 I am looking forward to Year One, which is being adapted later this year。 I had a lot of fun with this。

When I saw a Year Zero comic pop up for the fantastic Injustice: Gods Among Us series, I thought, "Boy, DC is really milking this。" However, Tom Taylor does it again。 The Joker finds an amulet that allows him to take over someone's mind and he uses it to ill effect, targeting the Justice Society。 Taylor does a terrific job of weaving this into the later story, showing why Superman and Wonder Woman don't trust Batman when it comes to taking in Joker。 There's also some great stuff here with Harley When I saw a Year Zero comic pop up for the fantastic Injustice: Gods Among Us series, I thought, "Boy, DC is really milking this。" However, Tom Taylor does it again。 The Joker finds an amulet that allows him to take over someone's mind and he uses it to ill effect, targeting the Justice Society。 Taylor does a terrific job of weaving this into the later story, showing why Superman and Wonder Woman don't trust Batman when it comes to taking in Joker。 There's also some great stuff here with Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy and the cycles of abuse Harley she goes through with the Joker。 。。。more

I saw this pop up on Hoopla and thought, “How can even the great Tom Taylor pull off a prequel to the astonishing Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year One?” Brilliantly。 This is so good it’s almost impossible。 Taylor hooks into all the things that happen in IGAU and explains away any small questions anyone might have, but honestly they weren’t even things I’d considered。 Such as, “Where is the rest of the Justice Society in all this?” I just assumed most of them had passed away, since they were all bo I saw this pop up on Hoopla and thought, “How can even the great Tom Taylor pull off a prequel to the astonishing Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year One?” Brilliantly。 This is so good it’s almost impossible。 Taylor hooks into all the things that happen in IGAU and explains away any small questions anyone might have, but honestly they weren’t even things I’d considered。 Such as, “Where is the rest of the Justice Society in all this?” I just assumed most of them had passed away, since they were all born between 1870 and 1920。 Turns out most of them are still around due to time travel and other shenanigans。 Which sets up the central conflict of this book: a mind-controlling amulet is used by the Joker to kill people。 Which also handily explains why Wonder Woman and Superman fall out so hard with Batman in IGAU: Year One — we see exactly how bad Joker can be, and why he should be executed。Not only does Taylor deftly link to the existing series, he also tells a cracking good self-contained story。 It also has plenty of humor in it, and some of the humorous scenes do double duty: they’re funny in and of themselves, but there’s also darkness behind them because you know what is going to happen to all these people。 The art by Rôge Antônio and Cian Tormey with colorist Rain Beredo is also flat-out terrific。 Pure, clear storytelling with plenty of style when the story ramps up。 This should be the template for every artist to follow。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 They did a wonderful job of telling an original story, that tied in extremely well with the established Injustice canon。 Nods to submarines and how the downfall of Superman could be orchestrated really tug at the heartstrings。 The inclusion and the excision of the Justice Society was executed well。 The pursuit of a child for Lois and Clark was especially heartfelt to read。 I thoroughly enjoyed it。 Possibly one of the best executions of a prequel ever。

Happy reading :)-Rishabh。 (instagram @rishabhxart) 。。。more
