Summary

Will this Queen with mind-control powers incite good or evil?

Fumi Nishioka lives with Kyutaro Horikita and his family of “Sweepers,” people who specialize in cleaning the minds of those overcome by negative energy and harmful spirits。 Fumi has always displayed mysterious abilities, but will those powers be used for evil when she begins to truly awaken as a Queen?

Kyutaro and Fumi get a taste of just how formidable the Silver Sea Snake is, and so they set out to the Holy Ground of the Old Byakko Clan in order to get stronger。 However, they’re in for an unwelcome surprise when they find out what this mysterious clan has in store for them!

I really enjoy this series, it has a great story!

Great volume! Full of suspense and keeps you guessing! Some answers are given but we need more!

Lol at what Kyutaro said in the bath with Ataru 。。。 I’m not even mad about the slow burn in this story because the main story is so good!

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Mi fa tanta tenerezza Kyutaro。 La scena di quando Fumi ha curato le sue ferite è stata davvero bella。 Non vedo l'ora che entrambi possano svelare i loro sentimenti, anche se adesso si è aggiunto l'incantesimo fatto su Kyutaro。 Mi fa tanta tenerezza Kyutaro。 La scena di quando Fumi ha curato le sue ferite è stata davvero bella。 Non vedo l'ora che entrambi possano svelare i loro sentimenti, anche se adesso si è aggiunto l'incantesimo fatto su Kyutaro。 。。。more

3。5 rounded up because I love Kyousuke Motomi, even when her hero is being a little bit of what my mother would call "a weenie。" I know that Kyutaro has to figure out for himself that accepting and confessing his feelings for Fumi will only make him stronger, but this is getting to be a bit much。On the other hand - "[This is] the power of a queen!""No, just a pissed off high school girl。"Learn this lesson well, people。 Hell hath no fury like a teenage girl。 3。5 rounded up because I love Kyousuke Motomi, even when her hero is being a little bit of what my mother would call "a weenie。" I know that Kyutaro has to figure out for himself that accepting and confessing his feelings for Fumi will only make him stronger, but this is getting to be a bit much。On the other hand - "[This is] the power of a queen!""No, just a pissed off high school girl。"Learn this lesson well, people。 Hell hath no fury like a teenage girl。 。。。more

Still good, but we're getting so much more into the lore that it can be a bit confusing。 Still good, but we're getting so much more into the lore that it can be a bit confusing。 。。。more

I practically need a flowchart to follow the series at this point。 I read the last couple books a few days apart and I still barely have the slightest clue what’s going on any more。Clan this, clan that, secret this, convoluted twist that。 It’s gone way, way away from the initially simple and well-done premise。

This just keeps getting better and better! I love slow burns!

That cover。 Good volume。

9/19 Tried but failed to get into this volume at all。 Love the couple dynamic but this series has gotten too complicated for me to read the volumes so far apart, I can't recall enough of what's come before。 Perhaps I'll try to binge the entire series one day, but for now I'm giving up on finishing it the slow way。 9/19 Tried but failed to get into this volume at all。 Love the couple dynamic but this series has gotten too complicated for me to read the volumes so far apart, I can't recall enough of what's come before。 Perhaps I'll try to binge the entire series one day, but for now I'm giving up on finishing it the slow way。 。。。more

Finally some answers from the Byakko Clan。 And then that last chapter with Q! 😱 I'm so glad that they are now friends with Ataru too。 Finally some answers from the Byakko Clan。 And then that last chapter with Q! 😱 I'm so glad that they are now friends with Ataru too。 。。。more

I NEED THE NEXT ONE! I gotta find out what happens to Kyutaro!

This kicks off a new bit of the story, so there is a lot of setting the stage for what will come。 It didn't feel like much happened here, but we do get introduced to several new characters and get to see reformed Ataru join in on the adventure。 This kicks off a new bit of the story, so there is a lot of setting the stage for what will come。 It didn't feel like much happened here, but we do get introduced to several new characters and get to see reformed Ataru join in on the adventure。 。。。more

I like the new direction the story is going。 Kyutaro and Fumi are just so adorable! I just love how they grow with each chapter。

~4 StarsThe group is visited by a member of another clan in this volume, Akiyama。 It's not a great introduction, and he brings them to a new test, of sorts。 Training for them, in a way。 This also starts off rather oddly。Kyutaro and Ataru get separated from Fumi pretty early, and they're both on different paths to test their skills。 It's kind of fun to see Kyutaro and Ataru trying to work together; Ataru is a fun character to me, honestly。 And I just love the development of Fumi's character and h ~4 StarsThe group is visited by a member of another clan in this volume, Akiyama。 It's not a great introduction, and he brings them to a new test, of sorts。 Training for them, in a way。 This also starts off rather oddly。Kyutaro and Ataru get separated from Fumi pretty early, and they're both on different paths to test their skills。 It's kind of fun to see Kyutaro and Ataru trying to work together; Ataru is a fun character to me, honestly。 And I just love the development of Fumi's character and her powers, and the queens inside of her。 It's such a strong theme in this series, and I really love how it's progressing and being handled so far。They're starting something potentially dangerous as the volume ends, and I'm excited to see where it goes next。I really, really love this series。 I admire the themes and a lot of the serious moments, and the strength in Fumi。 She's such a badass heroine at this point。 I can't wait to see what happens next。 。。。more

I like how this story is continuing to develop。 We have essentially started a new chapter of the story in this volume, a new story arc (while still working on the main plot)。 I feel it is setting up for more character growth and I am looking forward to where this story will lead。 The artwork continues to be good, as is the plot and pace。 I also like that these past few volumes have had a plot/character summary page at the beginning of the volume and I feel it will be beneficial in the future as I like how this story is continuing to develop。 We have essentially started a new chapter of the story in this volume, a new story arc (while still working on the main plot)。 I feel it is setting up for more character growth and I am looking forward to where this story will lead。 The artwork continues to be good, as is the plot and pace。 I also like that these past few volumes have had a plot/character summary page at the beginning of the volume and I feel it will be beneficial in the future as I take a longer break between this volume and the next (waiting for it to be in the system at my library)。 。。。more

Kyousuke Moroni is a wonderful author。 I enjoy all of her work。 I am very interested to see where this “inside” training is going to go。 Kyutaro is as wonderful as always。 Atari is really growing on me。 Poor Fumi, everyone all around her knows more about her than she does。 Is this how they are keeping the “queens” under control?

More reviews (and no fluff) on the blog http://surrealtalvi。wordpress。com/I am so glad that Motomi took her story away from "here's how to clean your house" and toward a more interesting urban fantasy。 The series got off to a rocky start and it was clear the theme wasn't working with QQ Sweeper。 So while this new direction is fabulous, it still feels like she is working out the story as she goes。 With this sixth volume, we really get a big world opened up and a new arc starting。 Motomi's re More reviews (and no fluff) on the blog http://surrealtalvi。wordpress。com/I am so glad that Motomi took her story away from "here's how to clean your house" and toward a more interesting urban fantasy。 The series got off to a rocky start and it was clear the theme wasn't working with QQ Sweeper。 So while this new direction is fabulous, it still feels like she is working out the story as she goes。 With this sixth volume, we really get a big world opened up and a new arc starting。 Motomi's really amped up the romance as well, which is starting to get intense and reminds me so much of the early days of Dengeki Daisy, before that series became so bloated and sidetracked near the end。Story: Fumi will be targeted for her hidden power - something the Genbu clan knows well。 When the hidden and secretive Byakko clan takes an interest in her, she knows she must go to them and train/find out more about her forgotten past。 With Kyu and Ataru coming along for 'more training', Fumi is about to learn what being a 'sweeper' is truly about。With this volume, we get introduced to another clan and a wide range of interesting personalities。 As well, Fumi is quite sure that this is her original home clan - and that she will restore more of her memories in the process of being there with the Byakko。 Kyu, however, will have it the hardest: constantly having to hide his intense feelings for Fume, afraid she will regain her memory and remember his failure to protect her, and is sorely tested to ensure he is a proper consort for the dark grey queen。 Motomi does like torturing her male protagonists。Ataru is quite fun still and I love that he uses a female form when in the spirit world。 I also really like that the cleaning element is all but gone - instead, it turns out that it was an entree into sweeping but that most of the clans use more traditional weapons。There are hints that there are several big bads who are going to be coming after Fumi in order to use her and her power。 There were a lot of 'attempts' on her and kidnappings that got a bit old after the first 3 or so。 I am hoping that in future volumes, we have less assaults and more battles。 Reviewed from an advance reader copy provided by the publisher。 。。。more

I loved getting Ataru's take on their relationship。 I didn't see it the way he did and he was right to a point。 Yet it didn't weaken Fumi's strength in any way, I love how feminist this stays while also travailing the male wanting to protect female path which is so true to life。 Kyutaro feels he's fallen down on his job and that becomes the tense motivation。。。 We get a hint early in Queen's Quality vol 6 that all is not kosher with the old Byakko clan, their methods are quite underhanded。 You certainly get the sense that the stakes are higher even if this is a training mission and not taking out some big bad bug。 Once we meet the clan leader I was even more stoked!! By the end of the volume the stakes were super high and Kyutaro has worn you down enough with his struggles that you really worry for him。 Needless-to-say I am anxious to read the next volume! The art was stellar as we travel to a new place and get a real sense of the area。 Of course, that has nothing to do with the "inside" where they will be traveling through。。。 There is this creepy vibe that gives you the sense that this really is home to ghosts both friendly and unfriendly alike! The character designs for the new characters are really great and I really liked the new healed, but personality rich Ataru。 Plus the inclusion of cats is so fun!! I really am loving the direction Queen's Quality vol 6 takes the story of Fumi and Kyutaro and their foray into the land of her nativity and his parent's doom。 It doesn't look like the training is going to be the run of the mill fighting dummies and sparring either! There are real ghosts out there and they are as strong as the bugs to clean up!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Authenticity⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tension⋆ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plot⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ArtThanks to Edelweiss and VIZ Media for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review。 It has not influenced my opinions。______________________You can find this manga review and many others on my book blog every Monday @ Perspective of a Writer。 See my manga and graphic novel reviews at the bottom of the page。Please like this review if you enjoyed it! *bow* *bow* It helps me out a ton!! 。。。more

this series continues to be so incredible in every possible way。 this cover - seriously。 the artwork is absolutely stunning, and the story, which moves from dark dark dark and disturbing to outright hilarious, is a pleasure to fall into, with every single page。 Motomi is a genius, and the monthly 'what's up' updates (also on twitter) are hysterical。 I am truly sorry when I reach the end of every volume。 this series continues to be so incredible in every possible way。 this cover - seriously。 the artwork is absolutely stunning, and the story, which moves from dark dark dark and disturbing to outright hilarious, is a pleasure to fall into, with every single page。 Motomi is a genius, and the monthly 'what's up' updates (also on twitter) are hysterical。 I am truly sorry when I reach the end of every volume。 。。。more
