i read this book after it kept getting recommended to me and I did somewhat enjoy reading the book while the ending is pretty obvious (though i usually guess endings) I still enjoyed the characters try to find out what happened。 although this book isn’t scary whatsoever and i don’t think it should be put in the “thriller” category, I still enjoyed the different povs and writing style the author has。 overall i gave this book a 4/5 stars :)

Just such a solid book all around- has a great pace, interesting twists, well developed characters and all the emotions! Honestly felt like I was watching a show on Netflix, would highly recommend!

I don't usually go for thrillers but this was one if those American High-school dramas with just enough stereotypes hero's to keep you interested。 I don't usually go for thrillers but this was one if those American High-school dramas with just enough stereotypes hero's to keep you interested。 。。。more

I love this book so much! I read it a couple of years ago and absolutely fell in love with these characters。 Had an amazing plot that really kept me hooked the entire time。 I love rereading this book。

when i started this book i didn’t know i’d be reading it for nate and bronwyn

Sara

I think the reveal at the end was good, not amazing, but good。 I was genuinely more hooked & interested in the romance and friendship building than the murder mystery, so while I enjoyed reading it I think I enjoyed it for a different reason than i was intended to。

I am a super slow reader but with this book I didn’t want to drop it till I finish it! A real page turner!!

Kim

Yup。 McManus is a freaking literary genius。 I guessed right away who did it-- and then proceeded to change my answer approximately every page。 Love seeing the story develop through the 4 main character voices。

Great one recommended by Molly。 A solid "who done it" in young adult fiction。 Great one recommended by Molly。 A solid "who done it" in young adult fiction。 。。。more

The biggest mystery of this book is how it has just over 4 stars on Goodreads。 If you find yourself putting in effort to get into the story despite its wildly cliché elements of a dramatic, gossipy highschool, instead, do yourself a favour and make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich。 This will require much less effort, and will leave you far more satisfied than this book ever will。

The character development 😩

4。5I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book。 I loved all four of the main characters (a rarity!) and the story was extremely well written, everything felt like it had a purpose。 Deducting 。5 of a star because I from the start I had a feeling that I knew what had happened。 But there were still some surprises along the way that I did not guess。

There was so much hype around this book but to me it did not really live up to it if i am honest。 The plotline is good but i was expecting more

This was an incredible book that I could not predict what so ever。 There were plot twists that changed your whole view on the situation。 This author is a genius and I will go on to read many more of her books! Recommend for 11-12+ because it can be quite creepy at times - and the theme is centred around trying to find a murderer。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 My heart just melted with the final chapter but anyways。 This book is really among the most thrilling teen fic mystery novels I've read yet。 It all starts with a detention, which come to think about it seems a whole lot weird and yet, it unravels so out of proportion!I sort of had a hunch midway into the book that it might be a case of suicide but will be such well planned, I hadn't anticipated that at all。 And Jake? Right off the bat, he seemed as a control freak and honestly, I'm so happy for Addy to be free from such a monster。 Actually, each of the characters were written in such a great progressive manner and I did connect to all of them and felt for their woes。To err is to human。 How powerful。I'm happy each of the four of our supposedly 'murder gang' (lol) got to have at least a good ending they deserved。 This book however just highlights even more how messed up life in high school really is and how much of an emotional Rollercoaster one actually has to board onto。This books earns a solid five from me! :) 。。。more

Though it was a little cliche and predictable, I enjoyed reading it。 Something about this book was stopping me from putting it down。 The characters are the usual stereotype。 A princess, a jock, a bad boy, and a nerd。 But as you read through the book you find the characters straying from the stereotype and finding their own path while dealing with past mistakes。 As I said, it was predictable which removed the element of surprise and left me reading it with little to no reaction。 All in all I’d sa Though it was a little cliche and predictable, I enjoyed reading it。 Something about this book was stopping me from putting it down。 The characters are the usual stereotype。 A princess, a jock, a bad boy, and a nerd。 But as you read through the book you find the characters straying from the stereotype and finding their own path while dealing with past mistakes。 As I said, it was predictable which removed the element of surprise and left me reading it with little to no reaction。 All in all I’d say the characters were much more interesting than the plot。 I would recommend reading it。 。。。more

If I could reread this book for the first time I would。 I LOVED it! It was soooo much fun to read and I definitely did NOT expect the ending! This book was super clever and very interesting to read。 I really liked the way the perspectives changed throughout the novel, it made it more intriguing。 This book was GREAT!

Hannah

This was my first “murder mystery” type book and I loved it。 I loved the different perspectives (it was a little confusing at times though) especially bronwyn and nate。 This book is amazing。

Christina Knowles

I loved this superbly written YA suspense thriller。 Great characters and plot。 I thought it was strange that journalists reported the names of minors accused of crimes in the story, but it turns out it’s legal even though it’s rarely done。 This is an absorbing novel, and I’ll be reading the next in the series。

Adeline

It was amazing! I loved the plot and characters。 The plot twists were extra twisting。 McManus did an amazing job。
