I was sent this ARC by the publisher for my honest review。 This book is part of a series of biographies of people who have shaped history。 This book about Neil Armstrong is written so that these people, their dreams and their accomplishments, are accessible to children of all ages。 When I teach my elementary students, it can be hard for them to understand history and people and events from the past。 However this book has a well woven story that is simple enough for students to understand。 It was I was sent this ARC by the publisher for my honest review。 This book is part of a series of biographies of people who have shaped history。 This book about Neil Armstrong is written so that these people, their dreams and their accomplishments, are accessible to children of all ages。 When I teach my elementary students, it can be hard for them to understand history and people and events from the past。 However this book has a well woven story that is simple enough for students to understand。 It was great to see how Armstrong, led by his passion for planes, went to college。 He wanted to be the best and have the knowledge and experience to back it up。 Even when he was sent to war, when he came back he finished his degree。 Nothing was going to get in his way。 I feel that this book will inform them about a great American figure and give them the chance to dream for themselves。 。。。more

I really love the LPBD series, but this one was especially good! It had a lot of great information and fun facts about Neil Armstrong (like how his application to NASA was late but his friend got it in the pile for him)。 A great addition to a great series that belongs in libraries and classrooms。Thank you to netgalley for a free copy in exchange for an honest review。

Little People, BIG DREAMS。 One of a series for adults to read with children and for ESL to polish their English and learn about people who have shaped their world。 The first man to walk on the moon was once a child who dreamed of flying a plane。 He did that, went to college, flew with the USAF, became an astronaut, and more。 He worked for it and his dreams did more than just come true! The illustrations by Christophe Jacques are mostly simple and forthright。 Every public and school library needs Little People, BIG DREAMS。 One of a series for adults to read with children and for ESL to polish their English and learn about people who have shaped their world。 The first man to walk on the moon was once a child who dreamed of flying a plane。 He did that, went to college, flew with the USAF, became an astronaut, and more。 He worked for it and his dreams did more than just come true!
