This picture book biography is an engaging look at the life of Neil Armstrong。 The information is pitched at a good level and is interesting for children and parents alike！ The illustrations are beautiful too。We were particularly interested to learn that as they got back into their lunar module to travel back to the earth after their trip to the moon， Neil and Buzz realised that the ignition button was broken。 They fixed it by jamming a pen into the switch！ We also learnt that Neil’s footprints This picture book biography is an engaging look at the life of Neil Armstrong。 The information is pitched at a good level and is interesting for children and parents alike！ The illustrations are beautiful too。We were particularly interested to learn that as they got back into their lunar module to travel back to the earth after their trip to the moon， Neil and Buzz realised that the ignition button was broken。 They fixed it by jamming a pen into the switch！ We also learnt that Neil’s footprints are still on the surface of the moon as there is no wind to disturb them。There is so much to learn in this book and it is truly inspiring for any budding space enthusiasts。 A wonderful book for home or for the classroom。[We received a free copy of this book from the publishers in exchange for an honest review] 。。。more

I was sent this ARC by the publisher for my honest review。 This book is part of a series of biographies of people who have shaped history。 This book about Neil Armstrong is written so that these people， their dreams and their accomplishments， are accessible to children of all ages。 When I teach my elementary students， it can be hard for them to understand history and people and events from the past。 However this book has a well woven story that is simple enough for students to understand。 It was I was sent this ARC by the publisher for my honest review。 This book is part of a series of biographies of people who have shaped history。 This book about Neil Armstrong is written so that these people， their dreams and their accomplishments， are accessible to children of all ages。 When I teach my elementary students， it can be hard for them to understand history and people and events from the past。 However this book has a well woven story that is simple enough for students to understand。 It was great to see how Armstrong， led by his passion for planes， went to college。 He wanted to be the best and have the knowledge and experience to back it up。 Even when he was sent to war， when he came back he finished his degree。 Nothing was going to get in his way。 I feel that this book will inform them about a great American figure and give them the chance to dream for themselves。 。。。more

My kids and I love this series and this book is a great addition to it！ We found this one to be very interesting！ It packed a lot more information into the text than some of the others do and really provides a nice， basic foundation of who Neil Armstrong is for children。 As usual， the illustrations are great too！

Neil Armstrong is such an A-type。This is an inspiring story and dang， does he have a pair on him LOLInspirational and should be read to all kids。 In that day and age， to one day be the first man on the moon。。 wowza。。Great illustrations and well thought out so that it is digestible for the kiddos。

I have enjoyed reading the many entries into the Little People， Big Dreams series and Neil Armstrong is a strong choice。 I remember watching that first step on the moon as a grade 7 student。 I liked reading about his young dreams of becoming a pilot and the fact that he had a pilot's licence before a driver's licence。 I enjoyed this child friendly biography and it was nice to see a young boy from a healthy， average family follow his dream， with very little turmoil， or sad situations， just a boy I have enjoyed reading the many entries into the Little People， Big Dreams series and Neil Armstrong is a strong choice。 I remember watching that first step on the moon as a grade 7 student。 I liked reading about his young dreams of becoming a pilot and the fact that he had a pilot's licence before a driver's licence。 I enjoyed this child friendly biography and it was nice to see a young boy from a healthy， average family follow his dream， with very little turmoil， or sad situations， just a boy who worked hard towards a goal， thus fulfilling a dream。 The last page in this book sums it up well， "And today， Neil's footprints are still on the surface of the moon， where there's no wind to disturb them -- the best tribute to a dreamer who knew that the impossible can become reality with one small step。"Illustrator， Christophe Jacques， had added some detailed， colourful illustrations detailing Neil Armstrong's journey from a young boy， to an astronaut， who went down in history。 This would be a great book to read to children when discussing goals and dreams。 。。。more
