I am an adult with somewhere between beginner-intermediate French。 I am using these books to help improve my French skills。 I am using these books to read, and reread。 I also write out the text looking up the words unfamiliar to me。These seem just right for me- not a children's picture book, but also not a more complicated novelPlus I learned a bunch about butterflies I am an adult with somewhere between beginner-intermediate French。 I am using these books to help improve my French skills。 I am using these books to read, and reread。 I also write out the text looking up the words unfamiliar to me。These seem just right for me- not a children's picture book, but also not a more complicated novelPlus I learned a bunch about butterflies 。。。more

Caterpillar to Butterfly is a book sharing the many wonderful facts and information on the stages of its life。 This books takes you on a colorful transformation of a caterpillar to a butterfly providing students with great informational text and the life cycle of a butterfly。 This book would be a great transitional lesson into earth science and even if possibly having a class activity where the students would be able to see the actual process of caterpillar life cycle。 Another great activity you Caterpillar to Butterfly is a book sharing the many wonderful facts and information on the stages of its life。 This books takes you on a colorful transformation of a caterpillar to a butterfly providing students with great informational text and the life cycle of a butterfly。 This book would be a great transitional lesson into earth science and even if possibly having a class activity where the students would be able to see the actual process of caterpillar life cycle。 Another great activity you would be able to use in the classroom with this book is an think and share on facts of these animals and even comparing different life cycles of animals being taught in the classroom。The book has many beautiful pictures, good vocabulary, great explanations of the life cycle and shows a lot of different types of butterflies with their names。 This book also make good beginning readers for when your child moves into that stage of reading。 。。。more

Butterflies start out as caterpillars with 16 legs。 Once it is out of the chrysalis, it finds a mate, and a new life begins! It is great to share books about nature in our classroom with the kids。 It is even greater to meet students who care about nature。 Children eager to listen about the insect with compound eyes that grow in stages; metamorphosis。 Students can learn the difference between a moth and butterfly, too。

Sue

The chrysalis is the most amazing thing。

Tami

Good content。 Even I learned something new。 Always good when that happens。

This easy reader takes you through the life cycle of a butterfly plain and simple。I didn't realize that I had read this book when I was younger until I got to the second page。 Most people have strong olfactory memories, but I think my visual memory is strongest。 I remember pouring over this book every single day when we had caterpillars in our classroom。 I saw the photograph and suddenly I was back in second grade, waiting impatiently for the caterpillars to be butterflies。When I have butterflie This easy reader takes you through the life cycle of a butterfly plain and simple。I didn't realize that I had read this book when I was younger until I got to the second page。 Most people have strong olfactory memories, but I think my visual memory is strongest。 I remember pouring over this book every single day when we had caterpillars in our classroom。 I saw the photograph and suddenly I was back in second grade, waiting impatiently for the caterpillars to be butterflies。When I have butterflies in my classroom, I want to prepare my students as if they are going to be our pets。 I want them to know everything there is to know about butterflies and how to care for them。 This book will be a good introduction for that unit。 。。。more

This is a short, easy to read, but very informational book about butterflies。 I like how they have fun facts on the pages too。 When kids see the word fun, it helps them take a better interest in reading the fact, or so I think it would。 I had no clue that most butterfly eggs are green or yellow。 Hmm, even I learn as I read these books so I know students will too! I really like these little informational books。

Butterflies use camouflage。 They start as eggs。

Caterpillars turn into Butterflies! This is a very interesting animal! There are four stages to this process。 First, the Caterpillar is in an egg。 It then bites a hole in the egg so that it can get it。 It then eats the egg。 The Caterpillar then goes into a Chrysalis。 It stays in the Chrysalis for 14 days and then turns into a Butterfly。 This process is very fun and exciting。 I really enjoyed the pictures in this book。 Although it could be considered boring, it held my attention because of the il Caterpillars turn into Butterflies!
