The book tells you all kind of stories of traders or related exampes, but dont go in steps on how to avoid these mistakes

A bit abstract at few places but overall a must read。

The concept of this book is generally good but the elaboration is just too lengthy。 A single point has been repeated again and again, and again and again。 I lost the gist in quite some chapters。

- imo required reading for aspiring traders

A little redundant but I learned a lot about tackling my own psychology head-on for trading。 Would highly recommend for any trader out there for forex, stocks, futures, etc。 The first half of the book was useful for me since it was new information, the last half not so much because I've already been applying the practical steps to become consistent。 I'm still in the process but hearing that the author listed all of the steps that I've done reinforces my belief that I'm on the right path to consi A little redundant but I learned a lot about tackling my own psychology head-on for trading。 Would highly recommend for any trader out there for forex, stocks, futures, etc。 The first half of the book was useful for me since it was new information, the last half not so much because I've already been applying the practical steps to become consistent。 I'm still in the process but hearing that the author listed all of the steps that I've done reinforces my belief that I'm on the right path to consistency。 。。。more

Must read for anyone trying to trade relatively actively。 Take emotions out of the way and just set up principles you will follow。 Overtime it will put the odds in your favor if you play by probabilities rather than randomly

I am definitely not a trader and i will never become one。 Nevertheless this book was quite interesting to read for me from a psychological point of view。 There is a lot to learn even for non-traders。 I am interested in economics and the stock market (even though i don't trade, I hold and sell rarely) and thus there were some chapters in this book that were really interesting for me。What i did not like about this book was its complexity。 First i thought I would have difficulty following the book I am definitely not a trader and i will never become one。 Nevertheless this book was quite interesting to read for me from a psychological point of view。 There is a lot to learn even for non-traders。 I am interested in economics and the stock market (even though i don't trade, I hold and sell rarely) and thus there were some chapters in this book that were really interesting for me。What i did not like about this book was its complexity。 First i thought I would have difficulty following the book due to technical language but this was not the actual problem (he does not use many technical terms)。 The main issue was that the book is a bit tough to read in general。 Certain chapters i had to read twice to fully understand his message。Overall a decent book thouh 。。。more

。。more

The book is great and explains the core reasons we inherit from our experiences that prevent us from consistent profits in the markets。 This book should be read again and again。 It is lengthy and could have been shorter though。

The behavioral aspect is what a trader should be aware of and carry through out his journey。 That psychosocial specimen was covered brilliantly in this。 I personally felt alive when the author says “ in trading you don’t need to know what happens next to make money “ if you trade in the zone , “the perfect trader who has all Green Day’s doesn’t exist yet “ these ideas are unconventional to what YouTube traders preach。 Overall there’s somehow author,s anecdotal experiences are hard to decode but The behavioral aspect is what a trader should be aware of and carry through out his journey。 That psychosocial specimen was covered brilliantly in this。 I personally felt alive when the author says “ in trading you don’t need to know what happens next to make money “ if you trade in the zone , “the perfect trader who has all Green Day’s doesn’t exist yet “ these ideas are unconventional to what YouTube traders preach。 Overall there’s somehow author,s anecdotal experiences are hard to decode but it’s the better one I read among the trading books that cover psychological aspect。 。。。more

This book is pure golden。 Helps you to define the frame of mind you need to approach the market。 Beyond analysis, market trading requires YOU to accept that YOUR environment is what defines trading consistency。

There is a 5 hours seminary from Douglas on YouTube which covers most of these topics and it was no point for me to read the book after watching the seminar as he mostly repeats himself。 To my experience, Douglas is better at talking than writing。

The book is good。 It will not teach you to be trader rather it will teach you the mindset required to be a good trader。 Some portions of the book I felt was dragging the topic, but it needed that emphasis。 A must read if you want to understand what mindset you need to be a successful trader or even an investor。
