Summary

Legendary leadership and elite performance expert Robin Sharma introduced The 5am Club concept over twenty years ago, based on a revolutionary morning routine that has helped his clients maximize their productivity, activate their best health and bulletproof their serenity in this age of overwhelming complexity。

Now, in this life-changing book, handcrafted by the author over a rigorous four-year period, you will discover the early-rising habit that has helped so many accomplish epic results while upgrading their happiness, helpfulness and feelings of aliveness。

Through an enchanting—and often amusing—story about two struggling strangers who meet an eccentric tycoon who becomes their secret mentor, The 5am Club will walk you through:

How great geniuses, business titans and the world’s wisest people start their mornings to produce astonishing achievements
A little-known formula you can use instantly to wake up early feeling inspired, focused and flooded with a fiery drive to get the most out of each day
A step-by-step method to protect the quietest hours of daybreak so you have time for exercise, self-renewal and personal growth
A neuroscience-based practice proven to help make it easy to rise while most people are sleeping, giving you precious time for yourself to think, express your creativity and begin the day peacefully instead of being rushed
“Insider-only” tactics to defend your gifts, talents and dreams against digital distraction and trivial diversions so you enjoy fortune, influence and a magnificent impact on the world
Part manifesto for mastery, part playbook for genius-grade productivity and part companion for a life lived beautifully, The 5am Club is a work that will transform your life。 Forever。

Their may be some psychological benefits to getting up at 5am as the title says and using an hour to do some exercise and other activities。

This is a great book to start with on your road to better yourself。 It has great ideas, it is really motivating you to start having little habits that in the long run will make your life more enjoyable。 Like the book says it is important to maximise your morning routine for a better day, to feel good about yourself and overall to transform you from a lazy , procrastinating person to a more efficient productive one。 Now this book has only a few ideas and the rest of the book is just fluff between This is a great book to start with on your road to better yourself。 It has great ideas, it is really motivating you to start having little habits that in the long run will make your life more enjoyable。 Like the book says it is important to maximise your morning routine for a better day, to feel good about yourself and overall to transform you from a lazy , procrastinating person to a more efficient productive one。 Now this book has only a few ideas and the rest of the book is just fluff between them that you will make you give on this book。 It could have been easily a very good short book , but instead we are force to read an uninteresting fiction story, with characters that we don't care about, that behave unreal and talk in a manner no person does。 It is full of quotes from various great artists , great minds and great figures of history。 。。。more

I would say this book is overrated and overhyped。 It was interesting approach by Robin Sharma to mix fiction and personal development。 The book was quite interesting in the starting but then it seemed like neither the fiction nor the personal development goals were achieved。 I think he complicated it too much。 I still have a takeaway from this book though - the 20/20/20 rule and love the name 5am Club。

Very painful to read。 Just skip the pages and read the diagrams/bullet points instead to get the messages from this book。

DNF。 Couldn't get along with the author's style。 It reads like a dramatised version of the Alchemist without the fable and the charm。 Why write one succinct paragraph when you can ramble on for a whole page plus 2 barely related quote to make up the meat of the book。 DNF。 Couldn't get along with the author's style。 It reads like a dramatised version of the Alchemist without the fable and the charm。 Why write one succinct paragraph when you can ramble on for a whole page plus 2 barely related quote to make up the meat of the book。 。。。more

Reading the initial chapters of The 5AM Club was like forcing myself to swallow poison。 Pathetic。 This whole speech by this spell-binder where he is stating that everybody is legendary and should be using his full potential of leading a life of excellence, was garbage。 So cliché。 This spell-binder seemed like an undercover Tony Robbins in the final stages of his life trying to make money by giving shitty motivation speeches to people who crave to be called: "You, my boy, are destined for greatne Reading the initial chapters of The 5AM Club was like forcing myself to swallow poison。 Pathetic。 This whole speech by this spell-binder where he is stating that everybody is legendary and should be using his full potential of leading a life of excellence, was garbage。 So cliché。 This spell-binder seemed like an undercover Tony Robbins in the final stages of his life trying to make money by giving shitty motivation speeches to people who crave to be called: "You, my boy, are destined for greatness! You lovely human being。" lolAnyways next in this story comes this old, apparently homeless man to this eNtrepRenEuR and aRtiSt。 And this old man starts conversing with them about the spell-binder's speech。 Shitty old homeless man tries to act rich by constantly reminding the entrepreneur and artist that he needs to get on a jet so he must hurry。 He doesn't have the word humble in his already empty mind。 He constantly boasts about his multiple bUsiNessEs and his jEtS。 He said that he only reads the most thoughtful books and this thoughtful books concept is contagious。 His mere mention in The 5AM Club made this book quite a thoughtful book。 How, you ask? It made me very thoughtful and now I just think shit about The 5AM Club。 Good work, you old man。 This old man is the type of sugar-daddy that says: "Hello baby girl, are you alright? Will you be my small little wife, baby girl?"This old man was trying to convey in between his words that his life is full of positivity, and he has the best people around him who are always there to uplift his mood, and other things that fake motivational gurus have on their list。 I have only read the first three chapters and they were convincing enough for me to to deduce that this book is not worth even my enemy's time。 Damn, this is the worst book that I have read。 Even worse than Financial Freedom by Grant Sabatier。 If you want to read fiction, go ahead and this will be the best fiction book you will read this month。 If you are here for actual advice then do yourself a favor and don't even think of getting this book, ever。 Even though I am quite selective when it comes to books, this book successfully failed me。 Don't let it fail you。 。。。more

3。5 stars(from blink) - I thought it was inspiring and all and raised some notable points, but the perspective it took (imaginative story of the size billionaire guiding "regular" citizens in how to properly live) wasn't classy。 I don't know。 3。5 stars(from blink) - I thought it was inspiring and all and raised some notable points, but the perspective it took (imaginative story of the size billionaire guiding "regular" citizens in how to properly live) wasn't classy。 I don't know。 。。。more

The message in the book and life ideology were very insightful and interesting。 There are definitely changes I want to implement based on this book。 However, Robin Sharma is not a good fiction writer。 And since this book was written in a form of a story, it was hard to get through some of the fluffy story bits。 It made the book longer than it had to be。 If anything, I would have loved to have more detail on the research and studiesthe main takeaways of the book were based on。 As well as stories The message in the book and life ideology were very insightful and interesting。 There are definitely changes I want to implement based on this book。 However, Robin Sharma is not a good fiction writer。 And since this book was written in a form of a story, it was hard to get through some of the fluffy story bits。 It made the book longer than it had to be。 If anything, I would have loved to have more detail on the research and studiesthe main takeaways of the book were based on。 As well as stories of how different real people implemented the book's teachings。 The book keeps saying "take what you learn and adapt it to you" so it would have been great to read about how some people took the teaching and adapted it as additional insporation。 。。。more

This was a really different style than I expected, it was told like a story and you picked up the benefits to walking up early as the story moved along。 Little unrealistic, but an easy read。 Love the early wake up concept

This book is a huge no。 The story is so distracting, and less entertaining than what you can find in any toddlers’ bedtime stories book。 It is unnecessarily lengthy, when its juices could’ve been delivered by a 4-minute-read blogpost or so。 If you want to throw yourself into a reading plateau, then this is the book for you。

The book doesn't get interesting until the second half, because, well, that's when they actually get into the practical points。 Even then, the book is loaded with so much cringe-worthy fictional garbage, I had to sift through it to get to what I found useful。 Really could've been a 20 page book--or a blog。 It should've just been a listicle on Buzzfeed。。 or Medium, at most。 The book doesn't get interesting until the second half, because, well, that's when they actually get into the practical points。 Even then, the book is loaded with so much cringe-worthy fictional garbage, I had to sift through it to get to what I found useful。 Really could've been a 20 page book--or a blog。 It should've just been a listicle on Buzzfeed。。 or Medium, at most。 。。。more

This book does give an inspiration to wake up early and also manages to explain the benefits of the same pretty well。 A very good read。

Stopped at chapter 5 and have no intension to ever come back。 Felt like reading a collection of quotes, droped here and there, while trying to connect them with some kind of story to link them together into a sense-making novel…。

The 5AM Club has got some food for thought in it。 Overall, I’d say the message is pretty straight forward。 Wake up at 5AM to elevate your life with a structured and undisrupted morning routine。 I think the book is an easy read to make you a little bit more aware of how you spend your time during the day。 At some points it inspired me to live more consciously and at others it made me realize that I’ll probably never be part of the 5AM club。 Overall it is a classic get your life in check book and The 5AM Club has got some food for thought in it。 Overall, I’d say the message is pretty straight forward。 Wake up at 5AM to elevate your life with a structured and undisrupted morning routine。 I think the book is an easy read to make you a little bit more aware of how you spend your time during the day。 At some points it inspired me to live more consciously and at others it made me realize that I’ll probably never be part of the 5AM club。 Overall it is a classic get your life in check book and suitable for people who seek to become early risers。 。。。more

Do no waste your time。 I did not finish the book and this is one of the only books I’ve not finished in my entire life。 If you removed all of the quotes from successful people from this book…I’m not sure what would be left。 I finally decided to stop reading this because I realized I wouldn’t have any actionable takeaways like I was seeking。 This is a poorly written NOVEL and I think it could be a huge success if it wasn’t a novel。 Don’t waste your time! There are undoubtedly some gems in this book。 However, one has to go through a lot of cheesy lines and naive interractions between the characters in order to reach them。
