1:El primer tomo queda como una entretenida introducción a este mundo que parece querer contar una historia ambientada en una época medieval alejándose de las convenciones de representar el machismo que ya todos conocemos， no está nada mal， aunque me falta leer más para terminar de recomendarla。2:Mejoró muchísimo respecto al tomo anterior。 Ahora sí puedo decir que vale la pena leer este manga3:Mejora cada vez más no sólo en historia y personajes sino también en dibujos， ahora los paisajes y ciud 1:El primer tomo queda como una entretenida introducción a este mundo que parece querer los paisajes y ciudades se sienten mucho más reales que en los anteriores tomos。La trama por su lado， va captando más y más mi interés， sobre todo con presentar personajes a través de sus acciones y comportamiento， no sólo con diálogo。La construcción del mundo me sigue pareciendo un poco lenta aunque son sus detalles los que la hacen atrapante。Teresa se ganó a pulso que este tomo merezca su nombre。 Clare ya me terminó de cerrar como personaje principal。4:Y sigue mejorando， los personajes mejoran， la construcción de mundo mejora lento pero seguro， la acción mejora y los dibujos mejoran。Poco hay que decir， es un muy buen manga de acción y cada vez mejora como manga de drama。Aún así no dejo de sentir que hasta ahora sigo en la introducción de lo que podría un gran arco en el futuro。5:Sin duda el prólogo fue mucho mejor que la introducción， como un relato bizantino， la historia empieza a la mitad， luego cuenta el principio y continúa por donde se quedó。 Aún siendo un recurso válido， no tengo del todo claro para qué se usó en esta vez， ya que el principio del prólogo sirve como introducción y además me pareció mucho más interesante。Clare y Teresa me parecieron muy buenos personajes， y que sean protagonistas habla muy bien de este manga。6:UF！ Este fue brutal， de un tomo a otro sumó varios conflictos internos bastante interesantes， además de presentar una organización rodeada de un aura de puro misterio y conspiraciones。Ophelia con pocos capítulos ya parece una villana de toda la vida， la expectativa que genera con las cinco Claymores más poderosas me recuerda bastante a Bleach y sus Espadas， aunque en este caso creo que sí estarán a la altura。Me ha sorprendido cuánto creció Raki y el tipo de persona en la que se está convirtiendo。7:Se prendió esta wea， ya sólo con este tomo y el anterior valen los anteriores cinco。La acción no cesa y está muy bien justificada， los grandes momentos son muy bien construidos。 Queda muy bien la frialdad superficial y la pasión reprimida de Clare， la locura de Ophelia me gusta pero quizás hubiera sido mejor no poner lo del hermano， pero en líneas generales este tomo es excelente。Además los detalles de los dibujos y los diseños han mejorado mucho。Norohiro Yagi está construyendo un muy buen viaje del héroe con Clare， aunque en los tomos anteriores eso no se notaba tanto como ahora8:La historia se vuelve más y más enrevesada， como si ahora los protagonistas fueran grandes entes jugando al ajedrez， preparando sus piezas para un partido que cambiará el mundo de Claymore como se lo conoce。。。 y ni siquiera llegué a la mitad de la historia。Clare no deja de ganarse mi aprobación como personaje principal， sin embargo considero que muchos de los secundarios son mucho más interesantes que ella。 Esto es algo común pero no sé si debería ser la norma general。Las peleas resultan muy creativas， entretenidas y tensas al mismo tiempo， no siempre es fácil saber cuál será el resultado final。Galatea me encantó。9:Creo que repite mucho el concepto de "ella es la más rápida en esto" "ella es insuperable en esto otro" refiriéndose a todas las Claymores secundarias， es como si estuviera estableciendo únicamente puntos de referencia para los siguientes desafíos de Clare más que enriquecer la organización de las Claymores， aún así ha establecido reglas， clasificaciones， tipos y niveles de poder en este sistema de magia que parecen ser inamovibles。 De todas formas es un manga súper entretenido de leer， lo que dice mucho de un manga de acción que en general están para hacerse anime。10:Norihiro Yagi lo hizo todo tan bien en este tomo que hasta parece que es fácil。 La batalla que le da nombre a este número fue impresionante， tensa y eufórica， pero lo mejor es que todo se desarrolla con poderes， técnicas， habilidades e ideas que ya estaban establecidas con antelación。 Lo fácil hubiera sido sacar cosas de la nada o que de repente Clare o alguna que otra Claymore sean más fuertes pero no， acá Yagi resolvió la situación haciendo que los personajes usaran de la mejor manera posible sus habilidades para vencer a los enemigos de turno， lo que hizo que el resultado sea sumamente satisfactorio。Ahora empieza una nueva batalla donde las protagonistas tienen todas las de perder， veremos cómo sigue porque Yagi ha demostrado no necesitar de Deus Ex Machina para resolver los conflictos que presenta。Una cosa que no me queda muy clara es el tipo de mutación que tienen los "Despertados"， se nota que hay claras diferenciaciones cuando son hombres o mujeres y si bien hay Despertados con tintes sexuales de ambos géneros， hay algunos otros que no entiendo bien。11:Creo que este es el pico más alto de calidad en Claymore， irónicamente arrastrando a los personajes por lo más bajo。 Me gusta que haya ocurrido una "tragedia" y nos nieguen el poder verla y acompañar a las víctimas。Además， parece que Yagi está siendo cada vez más explicativo con cómo funciona la magia en Claymore， expandiendo las reglas pero jugando con elementos que ya conocemos， de esa forma se mantiene la sensación de descubrimiento constante pero sin que nos sintamos estafados con poderes o reglas de la nada。El anterior tomo presentó al villano con un giro algo clásico pero sumamente efectivo， y este tomo lo lleva más allá haciendo que lo conozcamos mucho más antes del inevitable "combate entre el bien y el mal"12:Simplemente WOW， un tomo que ha pasado por muchos momentos y mini historias diferentes。Una tragedia， un epílogo， un nuevo comienzo， y un cierre inesperado。Lo único que me molesta es cuando se recurre a la exposición forzada， con personajes hablando entre ellos de cosas que ya saben como si no supieran， en esa escena particular se supone que debían haber hablado sobre lo que pasó， no contado explícitamente todo lo que pasó， aún así excelente tomo。La Organización es pragmática al extremo de que ellos son más inhumanos que cualquier monstruo que aparezca en la historia。Aún con los fallos el conjunto es más que todas sus partes por separado。13:El final del anterior tomo estuvo tan genial que me lo releí antes de empezar este， lo que fue una buena decisión porque empieza con tremendo giro de los acontecimientos。Por sí mismo， este tomo brilla como una buena introducción a la siguiente etapa de la historia y a un buen establecimiento de objetivos， niveles de poder， alianzas y enemistades， de los personajes más relevantes， pero no se siente únicamente como introducción sino que la historia avanza sin detenerse más de lo necesario。Agradezco además los capítulos aparte que me permitieron conocer algo más a Miria y Teresa， sobre todo con Miria porque le da un cierre a una parte de su vida muy importante para ella， y el lector también。Los dibujos son excelentes han mejorado mucho y los diseños no dejan de sorprenderme en su creatividad。14:No me interesan tanto los personajes de Miata y la otra que ni me acuerdo el nombre， parece que van a pasar de convertirse en unas lloronas a unas grandes luchadoras， pero veremos qué hacen con ellas en el futuro。Parece que Clare es tan pasiva como persona que Yagi tiene que poner bullies a cada rato para contrastar con su personalidad estoica， lo que no está tan mal pero llega a cansar un poco。Los dibujos de los ambientes y las ciudades han mejorado muchísimo respecto a los primeros tomos， ahora están llenos de detalles pero al principio parecía que no tenían fondo。Por otra parte me encanta conocer más detalles de Isley， es un personaje tranquilo pero muy activo y eso mola。 En la película "La Favorita" se trata mucho la idea de que el poder está en saber manejar las necesidades de los demás， más que en el poder en sí， y creo que Isley ha conseguido encarnar esa filosofía con Priscilla。15:Me encanta cómo en en mismo tomo Yagi ha expandido el mundo de Claymore de forma coherente al mismo tiempo que explica varias cosas que habían quedado medio en el aire en los tomos pasados， da más coherencia y además alimenta nuestra expectación de lo que vendrá después。Por otra parte， un gran problema que tienen los shounen es el problema del escalamiento de los poderes， casi siempre las escalas empiezan medio por lo bajo y luego los autores， que en general son obligados a extender la historia lo más posible si esta tiene la suerte de tener éxito， se ven obligados a apuntar cada vez más alto sin pensar siquiera si tiene sentido。 Naruto por ejemplo empezó con un sistema de magia con reglas muy claras y con batallas que se basaban más en la estrategia que en el poder， y luego al final ya peleaban con megazords más o menos。 Claymore en cambio， al menos por ahora， sí sube la escala de poderes pero no ha llegado al ridículo ni por asomo: ningún personaje domina técnicas que es genéticamente incapaz de hacer， y en cuanto a las técnicas que domina， ninguna llega a escalas que no hayamos visto antes， porque Yagi ha mostrado varias veces los límites de lo que su sistema de magia puede conseguir。 De esa forma podemos saber o darnos una idea de hasta cuánto podrán llegar los personajes， y esa es la clave: mostrarnos la montaña y cómo los personajes la escalan， no hacernos verlos subir y subir continuamente sin ningún fin。Me encanta este manga， por si no se nota。16:Excelente cómo avanza la historia， la acción no deja de impresionarme en cada tomo， cada página puede estar llena de giros en una sola secuencia de batalla， este es un manga de acción con todas las letras。Los personajes nunca han sido de mi mayor agrado， pero la historia y la narrativa supera con creces cualquier otro bache que pueda haber， sin embargo no puedo dejar de notar que los "villanos" me resultan mucho más interesantes que los héroes， tanto en arco de personaje como en matices， y en evolución， me sorprende que con tan poco Isley haya logrado tanto conmigo。Parece que por fin ha terminado la introducción de la nueva etapa de Claymore， y se nota que se viene algo grande。 No me queda duda de que Yagi se tomó un buen tiempo para planear la historia， el sistema de poderes， la escala de poderes， el universo que ha creado; en fin， todo， y cuánto me alegro de haber empezado este manga por pura casualidad。17:Impresionante giro de los acontecimientos， bien llevado， bien hilado， con bases correctas。 Cada vez me convenzo más de que Yagi conoce su sistema de magia a la perfección desde el principio， la escalada de poderes es magistral。 Y nuevamente tenemos un cambio en los villanos， aquello que tomábamos como el objetivo a superar， ha sido superado antes que la protagonistas lo consiguieran。 El desenlace de esto va a costar sangre， sudor y lágrimas， pero seguramente será satisfactorio。Aún así los personajes principales palidecen frente a los villanos o secundarios， es como que a veces Clare parece un simple hilo conductor， mientras que los otros personajes son quienes viven la historia y crecen a través de ella。18:Terminada una excelente introducción a un nuevo， y quizás último， arco de la historia， sólo queda esperar lo que está por venir。 Siento que con lo inmenso y detallado se ha vuelto el mundo de Claymore， 9 tomos más es poco， pero hasta ahora no ha decepcionado sino que sorprendido y encantado。Como siempre los malos son más empáticos， cosa que ya es casi un meme， aunque cada vez entiedo un poco más a Clare como alguien que se expresa con acciones en vez de palabras o emociones。A partir de hoy comienza el tercer y último tercio de Claymore y no puedo esperar19:Parece que a los japoneses les gusta darles finales trágicos a sus personajes más honorables。Miria ha sido la mejor y más interesante de los personajes "buenos"， Clare tiene todavía que cerrar aquello por lo que ha empezado su arco de personaje， para ver qué sigue con ella。 Y Dauf con una acción simple pero efectiva ha conseguido conmoverme y ganarse mi pena al verlo partir。Si el anterior tomo era el fin de la introducción del （quizás） último arco， este es el comienzo del clímax， y lo ha hecho sacándose de encima a muchos de los que creíamos serían personajes importantísimos al final。Me gusta mucho cómo conecta el prólogo con esta nueva etapa， quedan sólo 8 tomos y se siente que da para más。 Ya veremos20:Superlativo cliff hanger del final， me encantó el giro de los acontecimientos。 De todas formas no pierde fuerza al final。 Se ha rebelado una de las incógnitas del pasado que más me habían dejado pensando， y está bueno haber acertado en la respuesta， además de que Rubel nunca me deja de poner tenso， ya que quién sabe en qué está pensando ese demonio en forma de humano。Muchos arcos argumentales que llevan tiempo macerando están llegando a su fin21:Primer tomo que ni se menciona a la protagonista， sumado a que en el anterior se la menciona pero no tiene participación， no me deja duda de que este manga no necesita protagonista。 Yagi ha conseguido crear un mundo interesante que funciona por sí solo， donde no todo gira alrededor de una sola persona sino que la historia la construyen todos y la viven todos。En un solo tomo introduce y desarrolla personajes nuevos y muy interesantes， con mucha facilidad。Siento que falta poco pero hay mucho que contar todavía， me dará pena terminar este manga。22:Nuevamente Claymore demuestra que está por encima de su protagonista， la historia y personajes consiguen avanzar por sí mismos。 Además los personajes tienen sus propios objetivos， con los que van avanzando poco a poco; sin mencionar a los personajes presentados y desarrollados en el tomo anterior， que fueron más desarrollados y concluidos en este。 Simplemente una maravilla。Las peleas como siempre， bien hiladas， bien estructuradas， resueltas con estrategias que respetan las reglas que el autor establece y desarrolla。La única pega que tengo es la pega que tengo siempre: la historia， villanos y antihéroes de este manga están muy por encima de sus personajes buenos， y estos últimos son los protagonistas23:Bueno， apenas hay que contar。 Todo lo que Yagi ha estado preparando a lo largo de 23 tomos comienza a converger。 Se nota que quiere darle un final cerrado a si historia， si bien el mundo es lo suficientemente grande como para hacer 27 tomos más， pero se nota que ha decidido concluir la historia con las historias que ha estado macerando desde el principio。 Ahora hay sólo un objetivo en común: sobrevivir。Si bien ya lo he mencionado， recalco que los personajes principales son demasiado reactivos en comparación con los secundarios o villanos， salvo Deneve y Miria que mueven la trama como se les canta porque son bien ellas， de todas formas se disfruta sin que se sienta que es una historia de estereotipos， sino que es una historia con arquetipos。Rubel se lleva todos los premios eso sí。24:Definitivamente el final ha comenzado。 No me equivocaba cuando afirmaba que Yagi ha venido preparando esto desde hace mucho tiempo， para que todo culmine en un sólo punto; y ya estamos en ese punto。 Hay más de un giro argumental sorpresivo pero con bases y contexto suficientes para sentirlo lógico y coherente， cosa que es muy difícil de hacer， y en manga/anime he visto muy poco， supongo que será en parte por el tipo de industria que tienen allá en Japón， pero acá eso no pasa。Ahora todos los personajes， viejos y nuevos， tienen un sólo objetivo común: sobrevivir pase lo que pase， y todos los entrenamientos， relaciones， desarrollo de personaje están siendo usados con habilidad narrativa para conseguirlo， como si el propio Yagi estuviera buscando cómo hacer que "los buenos" ganen la batalla con todos los recursos que les ha dado。Las únicas dos pegas que tengo es no haber visto un poco más de la razón por la que los Yoma están en este continente y esa justificación que se le da al poder de Priscilla。。。。 creo que podría haber sido mejor si los lectores hubieran tenido más pistas para deducirla ellos mismos。25:Ese giro al final del tomo， me ha dejado sumamente satisfecho， porque justifica un momento que me había dejado pensando cuando lo leí， y había tomado como un error; sin embargo Yagi nuevamente ha superado mis expectativas， esta obra está excelentemente construida。Otra cosa que me gusta mucho es que con la ensalada de personajes que hay， no ocurre que todos se vuelvan esclavos del guión， sino que el guión se vuelve esclavo de ellos。 La historia tiene giros respecto a las acciones de los personajes， acciones totalmente justificadas dado cómo es cada uno。El cierre que recibieron Clarice y Miata me conmovió más de lo que pensaba que podría hacer。Rubel， aunque es el personaje que más me había gustado， ha quedado relegado al rol de espectador， pero no pierde su toque ni por asomo。Sólo quedan dos tomos y ya extraño a este manga26:Espectacular a todos los niveles。 Priscilla ha ganado tanto trasfondo como una villana como ella podía permitirse， cosa que agradezco porque no se siente como la gran mala a matar y listo; se siente mucho más cerca a una tragedia， una víctima de un sistema que ve a las personas como objetos， un sistema que ha caído por su propio peso y por la reticencia de quienes lo sostenían a cambiar。 De todas formas ella no es la única， todo lo que ha pasado en este manga viene de la mano de un sistema que sólo buscaba enriquecerse。Por otro lado nos vemos obligados a despedirnos de varios personajes que quizás me hubiera gustado conocer más。Isley， maldito bastardo te extrañé27:Bueno， ha sido tan buen cierre como el autor ha querido que lo fuera; no ha inventado nada a último momento， no ha querido hacer ningún cierre inmerecido， todo ha tenido lógica y ha sido satisfactorio。Yagi les dió el "cierre" que merecían a todos los personajes， y por cierre me refiero a "una nueva vida" porque la historia de ninguno ha terminado， sino que ha comenzado una nueva etapa， pero las motivaciones iniciales han tenido un final cerrado y "perfecto"， en el sentido de que no les ha faltado nada。 Las mejores partes han sido las de Clare y Miria para mí， aunque el "final" de Rubel me encantó quizás más de lo que debería。Pocas historias tan largas pueden darse el lujo de decir que tuvieron un buen cierre， y Claymore es una de esas， no le faltó nada， no le sobró nada， todo lo que prometía lo dió， nada de lo que no habían dado pistas que iba a pasar pasó。Una obra de arte 。。。more

3。5/5 starsClaymore is one of those special stories that are somehow both intriguing and tedious。 It has such a cool premise: half-monster half-human warriors hunting monsters while struggling not to lose their own humanity。 Though it has become a common trope in 2021， it was still a relatively original premise， specifically in popular fiction， back when Claymore started publishing in 2001。 Claymore does not limit itself to this basic premise either， as it constantly adds complexity to its world 3。5/5 starsClaymore is one of those special stories that are somehow both intriguing and tedious。 It has such a cool premise: half-monster half-human warriors hunting monsters while struggling not to lose their own humanity。 Though it has become a common trope in 2021， it was still a relatively original premise， specifically in popular fiction， back when Claymore started publishing in 2001。 Claymore does not limit itself to this basic premise either， as it constantly adds complexity to its worldbuilding， plot， and characters， especially in the first few volumes。 By delving into the complicated relationship between the residents of this fictional world， the warriors they nicknamed “Claymores”， and the suspicious organization that “created” Claymores themselves， mangaka Norihiro Yagi explores the themes of individual vs。 the state， freedom vs。 control， religion， violence， and hatred… He creates a world in which an existential threat constantly looms over its inhabitants， and thus lets the reader question the very nature of humanity alongside the characters。 Though Claymore thus asks important questions regarding life and death， meaning and purpose， the execution of such themes is rather disappointing， especially around the middle of the story。 The conflicts， particularly the fight scenes get repetitive， the character interactions grow rather dull due to cliche dialogue， thus making the characters themselves feel one-dimensional at times， and the plot drags due to poor pacing and info dumps。 With that being said， the art in this is honestly amazing。 The character and monster designs are incredibly imaginative， the fight scenes leap off the page; all of which sucks you into the world， even when the story itself gets rather boring。 This review would be incomplete if I didn't mention how much Claymore inspired other works that are popular today， such as Madoka Magica， Attack on Titan， and the Promised Neverland。 Claymore was thus a pioneering work in so many ways， and even for that alone， it deserves much praise。 。。。more

I'll start off by saying that I really liked the manga。 It has many， many issues （that I will get into shortly）， but at it's core it's a very beautiful story of people with trauma overcomming obstacles， and coming together。 Characters *literally* give parts of themselves to the main protagonist to help her grow and succeed， and that is so inspiring and invigorating to me。 Combined with the fantastic style it is drawn in， Claymore was put into my heart the very first time I caught the serialized I'll start off by saying that I really liked the manga。 It has many， many issues （that I will get into shortly）， but at it's core it's a very beautiful story of people with trauma overcomming obstacles， and coming together。 Characters *literally* give parts of themselves to the main protagonist to help her grow and succeed， and that is so inspiring and invigorating to me。 Combined with the fantastic style it is drawn in， Claymore was put into my heart the very first time I caught the serialized anime。 As for the bad。。。 To put it bluntly， a lot of it has to do with sexism。 Right off the bat， the premise （that men are too unstable（read: aggressive） to be Claymores） is not only bio-essentialist， but very clearly sexist。 The rest of the sexism is a bit more subtle， but its just as pervasive。 The all-women* warrior cast is incredibly desexualized。 For which you could definitely make an argument of a sort， that this is a necessary consequence as the loss of humanity （which I still won't like）， but it is very obviously untrue， as there is a romance present in the series， and it is a heterosexual one（and a bizzare one at that， bordering on grooming）。 Nothing but a few hints at gayness for what should realistically be rife with lesbian relations is very， very notable。 There is also something else， which is incredibly funny when put into context。 For a series that does not exactly shy away from showing gore， severence of limbs， decapitation and grotesque monstrosities， it never actually shows the mutilated bodies of the claymores。 Of all the things it choses not to censor， the author chose the scars on women？ While nudity is present （and not sexualized）， the bodies look *pristine*。 Teressa disrobing to dissuade her and Clare's sexual assault by bandits is censored， Clare's body is extremely sanitized the one time it is shown。。。 It is utterly ridiculous， and to me， along with the above-mentioned bio-essentialism， speaks to me of the kind of sexism the author regrettably harbours。 Finally。。。 the writing just isn't that great。 I don't really know what better or nicer way to write this in， but it simply isn't。 There are a few moments when the story is moved forward not because it makes sense， but because it must be， which was very disillusioning。 Other than that， you could feel it in the quality of dialogue and prose that there was something left to be desired。 With that said， the raw emotion， the bonds， the growth， and the narrative were both very compelling and interesting to follow。 There is a very anarchistic vibe to the story， with the resolution being the abolition of the "government"， and it being fundamentally the source of a lot of woes。 The story covers a very wide range of topics， trauma， abandonment， eugenics， childhood abuse， the forming of bonds， overcoming struggles together， the way others impart themselves in us when they are close and dear to us。 The bond between Teressa and Clare was particularly beautiful and poignant to me， as the adult *truly* was the one who needed to reconnect with her inner child。 Such an elegant handing of trauma and healing is very absent， and dearly needed in other works， and for that I truly laud the author。 。。。more

It took me about half a year to read the entire series of Claymore， and while it had many great moments and you could see the artist improve there were some bigger problems， which hampered my enjoyment。 Before getting into the art and story themselves， the complete boxset was the best boxset I have ever seen。 The box itself has art inside which looks gorgeous and uses a velcro fastener which makes opening and closening not damage the box。 The box itself also is way cheaper than buying the mangas It took me about half a year to read the entire series of Claymore， and while it had many great moments and you could see the artist improve there were some bigger problems， which hampered my enjoyment。 Before getting into the art and story themselves， the complete boxset was the best boxset I have ever seen。 The box itself has art inside which looks gorgeous and uses a velcro fastener which makes opening and closening not damage the box。 The box itself also is way cheaper than buying the mangas alone， so the box itself would get a 5/5。 I also listened to the anime ost all the time while reading it。 https://www。youtube。com/watch？v=W0MqX。。。Claymore at the beginning felt very reminiscent of the Witcher universe。 You have an organization which task is to kill monsters。 The monster hunters here claymores are feared by the population as they themself are part of the monster and their weapons are a big part of their identity the same as with witchers。 The fears few volumes even mostly are self-contained stories where our main protagonist Clare kills random monster and we learn more about the world， we also get introduced to Raki her sidekick。 There also only are only female claymores which again reminded me of the witcher， where only men are able to get through the procedure to become a witcher。 While， there are similarities they soon fade away， as Raki is no Ciri， Clare no Geralt， and the monster are certainly no polish folktale monsters。While all this sounds like a basic monster hunter story set in a medical setting it soon shifts to a more anime style of this。 Stronger monsters so-called awakened ones get introduced which often have really interesting designs but sometimes can look like battle tech robots which I did not find fitting。Claymore's story had some very emotional moments， while also being predictable and having some major flaws。 I get that shonen often doesn´t have the strongest storytelling and fights just extend to who has the biggest power level， but it´s still bad storytelling。 I often had the feeling the many characters in claymore were just there for one purpose and after that being fulfilled they got discarded （view spoiler）[ the abyssal ones are a great example of that， being build-up for the first half of the story， just to do nothing in the second part （hide spoiler）]。 The characters ranged from great to annoying， Clare herself did not seem outstanding to me， but I enjoyed Miria or Helen and Deneve very much。 I am kinda torn about the finish of the series。 Without delving into deep spoilers。 Norihiro Yagi finishes Claymore on a level that feels finished but it missed a big plot point he introduced towards the end what I kinda annoys me。 I liked that he was able to kill characters throughout the series （view spoiler）[ the ending of the northern arc for example （hide spoiler）] but the main story never truly found its footing and felt extremely predictable I am not sure of the end plotwist should be one or not and the final opponent did not feel like the true enemy Clare had to fight till there （view spoiler）[ I get that Pricilla killed Theresa， but the Organization felt more like the main evil， being the crucks of everything that happened （hide spoiler）]Talking about art。 You felt how Yagi improved throughout the series but never reaching heights like berserk or Vagabond。 There were some good-looking images， mostly the awakened ones。 That being said that fights， especially at the beginning could look dreadful， never feeling like they flew well。 I also disliked the usage of tentacle？ attacks by the monsters， as they just looked bad and were used by nearly every monster。 Despite all my criticism， I read all of Claymore and it had some moments and characters I really enjoyed。 It stands between a shonen and a seinen， as it uses more blood gore， and nudity than I expected but many character and story moments felt more directed towards teens。 If you want to read a Seinen give Berserk or Vagabond a shot before Claymore and for Shonen maybe D-Gray Man if you want something less popular than One Piece， Naruto， etc。 That being said， if you already read a bunch of manga give Claymore a shot， it isn´t perfect but a hidden gem that may have moments that will stick with you for some time。["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]> 。。。more

I could not put this manga down once started。 Having watched， rather binged the anime first， I was a little disappointed with the misogynistic undertones in a series based on kickass female warriors。 The manga does the premise way more justice。 The anime had diverged from the manga anyway。 This is a very well illustrated manga with some great characters that one inevitably grows attached to。

My goodness was this series amazing！ The series had many great characters with differing personalities， so it really allowed for everyone to find a character that they can connect with。 While the formula was rather simple， I think that the script was executed really well which made it that much more of an enjoyable read。（view spoiler）[The basic premise of the story is of a warrior who starts at the bottom rank and manages to work their way up through the ranks in order to overtake a foe who has My goodness was this series amazing！ The series had many great characters with differing personalities， so it really allowed for everyone to find a character that they can connect with。 While the formula was rather simple， I think that the script was executed really well which made it that much more of an enjoyable read。（view spoiler）[The basic premise of the story is of a warrior who starts at the bottom rank and manages to work their way up through the ranks in order to overtake a foe who has caused the character some sort of pain in the past。 In this case， the warrior is Clare and her main villain is Priscilla。 Priscilla kills the one person that Clare truly cares about， Teresa， and that is what sets her journey in motion。Other plot points include The Organization and its reason for existing。 This too becomes easily predictable to understand after some amount of volumes。 However， the author does do a good job of interleaving the two together。 （hide spoiler）]I also want to discuss a little of the pacing for the series。 Despite being 27 volumes in length， the series is incredibly fast paced。 This lends the series to being one where it becomes extremely difficult to put down even a single volume。 I even surprised myself by how fast I was able to finish the entire series。In conclusion， I highly recommend this series。 And if you want a way to test the waters before actually buying it， you could watch the anime as it does do justice to first part of the story。 。。。more
