If you’ve read the bridgerton books and were thinking “well i wonder where Hyacinth got her mannerism” this book is the answer… Her aunt Billie。This book was fantastic， the relationship adorable， and both main characters so consistent and perfect！ Billie is like a combo of netflix eloise and book hyacinth and I love her and it even made me snort with laughter a couple times。 And of course， it was just steamy enough without being too much。 *chef kiss*

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 Finalmente le pasó la cuenta a la Julia no pensar en un argumento antes de embarcarse en la narración de una historia de más de 300 páginas。 Yo creo que no se habría notado la falta de una trama como tal， si la autora no hubiese decidido incluir una a la mitad del libro， pero como lo hizo， fue aún más evidente que Quinn no tenía nada que contarnos y que se lanzó a esta historia con la pura fe de que sus protagonistas la iban ayudar a salvar la novela。 Spoiler: No fue así。 En el momento en que se Finalmente le pasó la cuenta a la Julia no pensar en un argumento antes de embarcarse en la narración de una historia de más de 300 páginas。 Yo creo que no se habría notado la falta de una trama como tal， si la autora no hubiese decidido incluir una a la mitad del libro， pero como lo hizo， fue aún más evidente que Quinn no tenía nada que contarnos y que se lanzó a esta historia con la pura fe de que sus protagonistas la iban ayudar a salvar la novela。 Spoiler: No fue así。 En el momento en que se les informa a los Rokesby que Edward， hermano menor de George， ha desaparecido en una misión de guerra， la historia empieza a decaer y a dar tumbos de aquí para allá sin ninguna dirección aparente。 Era como si la autora no supiera muy bien cómo empujar a que los eventos se desencadenaran de forma natural， y necesitara recurrir a excusas baratas para poder general climax en su historia。 El romance estaba cumpliendo super bien en un comienzo; la química entre los personajes era muy entretenida de leer， había harta tensión entre George y Billy， así que en esta dinámica como enemies me convencieron bastante ambos protagonista， pero mi problema fue más adelante， cuando la autora no supo cómo darle el punta pie inicial para que dicha relación progresara a algo más que "pseudo-amigos que apenas se toleran el uno al otro"。 No entendí qué intentó hacer Quinn， al mover a la pareja a otro escenario， más aún cuando la excusa que se dió para que Billy acompañara a la mamá de George a la Londres no tuvo ningún sentido。 Edward estaba perdido， quizás hasta muerto， y nosotros estabamos leyendo que Billy estaba con la modista preparándose para asistir a eventos con Lady Manston。。。。。 En qué podía ayudar esto a Edward？？？？ Por qué la mamá de George， que estaba en un comienzo fuera de sí por la angustia de no saber dónde estaba su hijo， ahora estaba empecinada en ver casada a Billy？ y por si fuera poco， tramando secretamente la unión entre George y Billy？？？ Señora， y su hijo perdido？？？？ Alo？？？？ Lo otro que me dejo muy ？？？？？？ fue esa repentina misión secreta que tuvo que cumplir George en Londres。 Fue tan absurda y aburrida de leer， que no puedo creer que la Julia tuviera cara para intentar hacernos creer que esta repentina e inesperada situación en la que ahora se encontraba George， no era otra cosa mas que simple relleno para darle algo que hacer al personaje mientras éste se daba cuenta de sus sentimientos por Billy。 El final fue malísimo， una vergüenza， así que por eso de nota le pongo un 2，5。 Le dejaré las 3 estrellas solo porque la primera mitad del libro sí me gustó。 。。。more

I read the first book in this series last， I think， maybe because it had the least compelling description， but I enjoyed it。 A simple plot compared to some of the others， but every Quinn novel is witty and fun to read。

2 1/2I don’t think this was a strong as my favorite’s in the Bridgerton series， but it was definitely in similar company。 Really liked both the leads。 I think the book sets up the rest of the Rokesby stories well。 This one was fun with a little snark， and it really delivered on that essential ingredient in truly selling enemies to lovers: mutual understanding of each other’s most essential identities/selves。 They really do *get* each other。 And that’s so lovely to read。

Han sido de los mejores personajes que he leído， pensé que iba a extrañar a los Bridgerton de los libros anteriores perooooo en definitiva amé la introducción de la familia Rokesby y los Bridgerton。 El desarrollo de la historia me gustó mucho， le daban su tiempo a las cosas pero al final quedaron muchísimas partes sin resolver， espero que en los próximos libros se les de un desenlace bien merecido。La forma en la que acabo el libro me dejó muy emocionada， ya quiero leer los demás， ahhh。

This book was amazing！ I loved the haters-friend ish- to lovers。 It was clear from the very beginning that George loved Billie。 There was heartfelt dialogue， I loved that they challenged each other。 But mostly， we can credit George’s mom for that relationship。

My favorite of the series so far。 I liked seeing so much of the Bridgertons and the Rokesbys。 I enjoyed both Billie and George as well。 Point against Billie for not liking cats though。
