The thriller genre is packed with great names - Brad Thor, Brad Taylor, Mark Greaney, Nick Petrie, Don Bentley, among many others。 But Jack Carr stands out。 Since exploding into the scene with THE TERMINAL LIST, Carr has seemingly found a way to improve with each James Reece edition。 Nobody writes like Carr! IN THE BLOOD was so fantastically written。 The only downside to the book is we have to wait a year for the next。 5/5。

Never disappointed in a thriller about James Reece! This may be one of the absolute best book series I have ever read!

Every Jack Carr book gets better and better。 Devils hand was going to be tough to top but man this was an amazing read。 Best book in the series。 The ending just leaves you wanting to get ahold of the next book as soon as possible。 If you’ve made it to the 5th book in the series you don’t need me telling you how great it is。 And if you haven’t started the series yet what are you waiting for。

In The Blood is an improvement over The Devils Hand for sure, filled with the same brutal action and intrigue we come to this series for, as well as some legitimate emotion。 There comes a point in the book where Carr includes technology that is probably right around the corner, and at first I didn’t know how to feel about it because it seems so ridiculous until you think about it。 Now I’m just wondering where this series is going to go now that it’s introduced。I’ll also say that the final pages In The Blood is an improvement over The Devils Hand for sure, filled with the same brutal action and intrigue we come to this series for, as well as some legitimate emotion。 There comes a point in the book where Carr includes technology that is probably right around the corner, and at first I didn’t know how to feel about it because it seems so ridiculous until you think about it。 Now I’m just wondering where this series is going to go now that it’s introduced。I’ll also say that the final pages of this book almost gave me a heart attack because I thought someone was going to die and I was going to lose my mind。 I’ll leave it at that。 If you have been enjoying this series, I definitely think you’ll love this one。 。。。more

Love these books! This one seemed to have too much detail about specific weapons and history which I didn’t think were needed。 I still didn’t want to put it down

I laughed at some of the product placement in this book but I also support any company owned and or employing veterans。 I've seen Jack on Black Rifle Coffee's youtube vids which are always entertaining。 Loved the book but some of the topics really scare the crap out of me。 Which is what it is trying to do so it succeeds。 The main problem I have now is that it's probably going to be 2024 before the next book comes out and we find out what happens next。 I laughed at some of the product placement in this book but I also support any company owned and or employing veterans。 I've seen Jack on Black Rifle Coffee's youtube vids which are always entertaining。 Loved the book but some of the topics really scare the crap out of me。 Which is what it is trying to do so it succeeds。 The main problem I have now is that it's probably going to be 2024 before the next book comes out and we find out what happens next。 。。。more

Not a bad book, but I thought it was the weakest of Carr's efforts。 It is a bit tedious when he gets into some very specific things (weapons, etc。。。。) but you can actually skip over those parts and not miss any of the story。 If you liked the first 4 books in this series you will enjoy this one too。 I have enjoyed all of this "Terminal List" series but I am wondering how far he can take it。 Looking forward to the next in this series just to see where he goes with it。 Not a bad book, but I thought it was the weakest of Carr's efforts。 It is a bit tedious when he gets into some very specific things (weapons, etc。。。。) but you can actually skip over those parts and not miss any of the story。 If you liked the first 4 books in this series you will enjoy this one too。 I have enjoyed all of this "Terminal List" series but I am wondering how far he can take it。 Looking forward to the next in this series just to see where he goes with it。 。。。more

This author has a real touch for grabbing a reader's attention and not letting go until the end of the novel。 And definitely want to read more from this author。 The plot moves at a fairly even pace and is easy to follow。 The area description and research really put the reader on location and in the scene。 The violence and blood lust is very reciprocal to the storyline and not over the top with too much gore。 This series is leaning in the right direction and probably be carried on for a couple mo This author has a real touch for grabbing a reader's attention and not letting go until the end of the novel。 And definitely want to read more from this author。 The plot moves at a fairly even pace and is easy to follow。 The area description and research really put the reader on location and in the scene。 The violence and blood lust is very reciprocal to the storyline and not over the top with too much gore。 This series is leaning in the right direction and probably be carried on for a couple more novels。 The suspense ratchets up as you work your way from chapter to chapter。 And by the end, you definitely look forward to more novels from this author。 。。。more

I dunno, man。 Count me among the liberals tired of right-wing conspiracy theories, no matter how skillfully they’re woven into the plot。 Just couldn’t get past that so this is where my Terminal List reading is terminated。

Best book of the five (5) book series!

Another addition to an incredible series and The Terminal List is soon to be released on Amazon Prime starring Chris Pratt。 Jack Carr is one of my select few auto-buy authors for action & suspense and so far I’ve never been let down!

I got exactly what I wanted out of this one。 The last couple in this series were very good overall, but there was a little lag in the setup, I felt。 Necessary, but still a lag。 This installment felt like it hit the ground running and didn’t stop。 Even during the setup moments, I felt like the momentum of the story never let up。 The action was intense and perfectly described – clear but not so stuck in the details that it slows things down。Sometimes, you can see where a story is going, or you kno I got exactly what I wanted out of this one。 The last couple in this series were very good overall, but there was a little lag in the setup, I felt。 Necessary, but still a lag。 This installment felt like it hit the ground running and didn’t stop。 Even during the setup moments, I felt like the momentum of the story never let up。 The action was intense and perfectly described – clear but not so stuck in the details that it slows things down。Sometimes, you can see where a story is going, or you know the endgame。 But if it’s done well, the journey is worth it。 This book was well worth it; fun and engaging from the start。 And of course the setup for the continuation at the end has me yelling, “How can you do this to me?! How long am I going to have to wait for the next one?!”Highly recommended! 。。。more

Jack Carr is one of the main reasons I’ve started reading again。 Aside from the exhilarating adventures of James Reece, it’s hard to not admire the amount of effort that Jack Carr puts into his books。 The amount of detail and background information that he gives the readers in every one of his books is incredible。 Learning about the capabilities and uses of artificial intelligence while reading “In The Blood” was both fascinating and terrifying, but the way it was used in this book was amazing t Jack Carr is one of the main reasons I’ve started reading again。 Aside from the exhilarating adventures of James Reece, it’s hard to not admire the amount of effort that Jack Carr puts into his books。 The amount of detail and background information that he gives the readers in every one of his books is incredible。 Learning about the capabilities and uses of artificial intelligence while reading “In The Blood” was both fascinating and terrifying, but the way it was used in this book was amazing to follow。 I’ve had a hard time believing any new book could top “The Terminal List”, but I think this one gives it a run for its money。 。。。more

Might be the best book in the series! I literally couldn’t put it down。 And the cliffhanger at the end…HOLY HELL! I can’t wait for Book #6。 James Reece is a warrior, a defender and an all around badass。 Love how Carr also started to implement a little bit of the mentality behind prolonged exposure to battle, violence and the like。 Overall 11/10 would recommend!

I really enjoyed this book。 I think that Carr is improving with each new release in the series and I’m already looking forward to the next one。

The Books Are Okay NowI was a big fan of the first three books in this series。 They could be kind of corny and a bit outlandish but for the most part were solid, entertaining stories that were halfway believable。 But the end of the third, the entire fourth, and now the fifth book are over the top and mostly silly。 The main character remains one dimensional。

Ernest

Excellent book a must read

This book leaves a big hook to future books about Mr。 Reece, and Alice。 You need to read this book to figure out who Alice is。 She surely could have him out of his final problems。 It is a well written and thought out story line

3。5 stars。 It's。。。fine。 Lots of combat action with just enough plot to stitch it together。 Not a lot of character or story depth。 It kept me turning the pages and entertained within the boundaries noted above。 If this is the kind of read you're looking for, you won't be disappointed。 3。5 stars。 It's。。。fine。 Lots of combat action with just enough plot to stitch it together。 Not a lot of character or story depth。 It kept me turning the pages and entertained within the boundaries noted above。 If this is the kind of read you're looking for, you won't be disappointed。 。。。more

AwesomeIt did not miss on what to expect from James and the end was an unexpected cliff hanger。 Already for the next one to see how he revolves this challenge。 He does what many would !like to in the divide and expanding softness becoming common place in the country。 Reece has no time to play victim but !like to act in an honorable way。

Read the previous book while undergoing serious chemotherapy, when my husband purchased this at the weekend I looked twice。 Knew it was going to be hard to put down, James Reece travels the globe again to seek retribution for a dead colleague and his family。 All the while, as the hunter being hunted by others。 From Mossad, KGB to CIA links I almost believed James was going to get an honourable discharge and happily ever after。 Here’s hoping the next one is coming soon。 Would like to think I’ve g Read the previous book while undergoing serious chemotherapy, when my husband purchased this at the weekend I looked twice。 Knew it was going to be hard to put down, James Reece travels the globe again to seek retribution for a dead colleague and his family。 All the while, as the hunter being hunted by others。 From Mossad, KGB to CIA links I almost believed James was going to get an honourable discharge and happily ever after。 Here’s hoping the next one is coming soon。 Would like to think I’ve got another year。 Polished it off without cracking the spine although husband annoyed I might ruin the plot by sharing like I did with Harry Potter all those years ago! 。。。more

This is Jack Carr’s fifth book, it is unbelievable on how good the book is。 From his first book to this one the story telling just keeps getting better。 You can tell that when he writes Jack puts a lot of his own experience into the book。 The flow along with the suspense is just purely amazing。 Never a dull part in the book。 It was hard to put down when I was able to read。 Definitely on pins and needles for the sixth James Reece book to come out。

Lacey

Holy guacamole。 Fast paced, hard to put down, intense, and thought provoking。 I cannot wait 11 months to the next one。

Once again Jack Carr writes a fantastic book。 Each book written is slightly better than the last。 James Reece is better, and smarter than ever。 This is a must read!

Another hit from Jack Carr! Looking foreword to the 6th installment!
