Summary
Shirayuki is an herbalist famous for her naturally bright-red hair， and the prince of Tanbarun wants her all to himself！ The prince from the neighboring kingdom， Zen， rescues her from her plight， and thus begins their love story。
In order to reclaim the power his northern clan once held， Toka Bergat has attacked Sereg Knight Base。 Zen is ready to fight back， but Toka is clearly out for blood and the prince’s head！ Meanwhile， Kiki and Obi have saved Tsuruba from certain doom， and all three are racing back to the base！

Zen and the Bergat twins are up against it when the head of the Bergats， Toka， decides to reclaim the North by installing a new head， but only after removing Zen’s。 Then everybody is reunited and we get a reminder of why this series is good。Not a bad story， this。 I am enough of a lazy butt to quickly rehash my issues with the mangaka’s generally underwhelming staging of action sequences， but the plot and such flows nicely and there’s good villainous intent to it all。 This whole plan came togethe Zen and the Bergat twins are up against it when the head of the Bergats， Toka， decides to reclaim the North by installing a new head， but only after removing Zen’s。 Then everybody is reunited and we get a reminder of why this series is good。Not a bad story， this。 I am enough of a lazy butt to quickly rehash my issues with the mangaka’s generally underwhelming staging of action sequences， but the plot and such flows nicely and there’s good villainous intent to it all。 This whole plan came together pretty quick in some respects， but I can accept it。This is， after all， fairy tale adjacent and not meant to be a simulacrum of medieval life， which is why everybody always looks spectacular and villains are going to reveal themselves dramatically and do dramatic things and such。 Last minute heroics and perfectly timed arrivals might be cliché， but on the other hand， you’d miss them if they didn’t occur。It’s all wrapped up with suitable bombast and well-learned lessons and morals， just in time for the book to do what it’s best at - having all our leads bounce off one another。 I mean， we’re still dragging out that Kiki and Mitsuhide pairing a little longer， but they have at least one moment。Honestly， this really kicks into the good stuff when Zen and Shirayuki reunite after all this and it’s pretty much a Moment and I am a massive sucker for well done moments。 This one section’s drawn better than any action sequence and is romantic as heck。 It really sells both the weight of their separation and their feelings in one swoop。All in all， a solid outing。 The bulk of the story is certainly the whole sneak attack/coup and the fallout thereof， but the line running through it and the aftermath is solid characterization。 That’s something that has never let this series down - bringing the core cast together and just letting them be。4 stars - hey， look， I’m a big enough softy that the reunion of Zen and Shirayuki got me right in the feels。 Toss in a relatively decent resolution to the attempted coup and you have a stronger than usual volume for the later stages of this series。 。。。more
