The Vogue Knitting on the Go! series is a pretty good series。 Usually nothing remarkable, maybe one or two patterns per book that stand out, but also usually a lot of solid average patterns。 Plus, nice small size, perfect for portability in a knitting bag。This one was par for the VKtoG course。 There were one or two patterns I can seriously see myself knitting, but also a number which were pretty average or just not my style。 So, 3 stars。

Patterns are just ok。 Nothing spectacular here。

I borrowed this one from the library, the patterns just weren't for me。 The only one I could ever see myself knitting is the very last one in the book, the "Afghan Shawl"。 I borrowed this one from the library, the patterns just weren't for me。 The only one I could ever see myself knitting is the very last one in the book, the "Afghan Shawl"。 。。。more

another in the VogueTO GO series of very small-sized craft books in an easy-to-read format。 Filled with lots of patterns calling for varied expertise, from beginner to fairly expert。 The small size makes it easy to slip the book into your bag along with your knitting, plus all the projects are smallish or at least not too big to cart around with you。 The photos are very good, the instructions are extremely clear, and each pattern is demonstrated with both charted and written versions。 All sorts another in the VogueTO GO series of very small-sized craft books in an easy-to-read format。 Filled with lots of patterns calling for varied expertise, from beginner to fairly expert。 The small size makes it easy to slip the book into your bag along with your knitting, plus all the projects are smallish or at least not too big to cart around with you。 The photos are very good, the instructions are extremely clear, and each pattern is demonstrated with both charted and written versions。 All sorts of yarns are used, and the knitting needles appear to be fairly large, with the majority being 7, 8, or 9, plus a couple larger and a few smaller as well。 There are short capes or wraps, triangle scarves, full-sized shawls, and these can range from airy lace to solid and rather chunky cables and bobbles。 BOTTOM LINE: A great deal of variety in the pattern choices, clear pix and instructions, and a handy size - this is a good pattern book。 It didn't get five stars from me because it wasn't spiral-bound, and while many of the patterns are quite nice, there were none that I wanted to make for myself。 。。。more

The patterns in this book are beautiful。 The ratings on skill level for the patterns seem to be pretty right on。 My only problem with pattern books, and this one seems to be no exception is that the yarn that is used in the patterns is either difficult to find, or way to expensive。 I know how to substitute but it would be nice to have a pattern book that used yarns that the average knitter or crocheter can easily and affordable obtain。
