Summary

In this pulse-racing thriller by the New York Times bestselling author of The Last Agent, an American sleeper cell in Russia goes silent—and it’s one man’s duty to find them。

After a harrowing escape from Russian agents on his last mission, Charles Jenkins thinks he’s finally done with the spy game。 But then the final two of the seven sisters—American assets who have been deep undercover in Russia for decades—cut off all communication with their handlers。 Are they in hiding after detecting surveillance? Or have they turned and become double agents? It’s Jenkins’s duty to find out, but he’s been added to a Russian kill list。 It will require all of Jenkins’s knowledge of spycraft—and an array of disguises—to return to the country undetected。

But plans go awry his first night in Moscow when Jenkins gets involved in an altercation that ends in the death of the son of one of Russia’s most powerful organized crime leaders。 Pursued by mafia henchmen, Russian agents, and a particularly dogged Moscow police detective, Jenkins is determined to track down the final two sisters and get them to America—or die trying。 As various forces close in, Jenkins fears this time he might’ve pushed his luck too far。

A very fast paced, exciting addition to the series。 There was a group of seven Russian born women who were raised to be spy’s for the American government, they were called The Seven Sisters。 Now with only two left, Charles has been lured back in by his CIA friend to go back into Russia and get the two remaining sisters out。 Both sisters, now in their 60s, have gone silent, which means the Russians are getting close to figuring who they are。 Both have now gotten messages to their handlers that th A very fast paced, exciting addition to the series。 There was a group of seven Russian born women who were raised to be spy’s for the American government, they were called The Seven Sisters。 Now with only two left, Charles has been lured back in by his CIA friend to go back into Russia and get the two remaining sisters out。 Both sisters, now in their 60s, have gone silent, which means the Russians are getting close to figuring who they are。 Both have now gotten messages to their handlers that they need to extricated from Russia immediately。 Charles, a brave and noble man, will do everything in his power to get the women out。 That won’t be easy to do, he is a very tall black man sent to a country that doesn’t have many black people。 He is on a Russian kill list after his last two times in the country。 So how is a very recognizable man going to go about getting these women out? Disguises can only work for so long, especially in a country that prides itself on excellent facial recognition technology, after that things can get very dangerous very fast。 So, can Charles survive this obviously dangerous mission? For Charles, when things go bad they really go bad。 。。。more

Great read, fantastic authorLove the Tracy Crosswhite series and now I love the Charles Jenkins series。 The Charles Jenkins series is awesome on audio。 The narrator is fabulous。 Because of the Russia dialogue, I just love the chosen narrator。 I loved spending the weekend listening to the Silent Sisters narration。 The plot was fantastic。 The pages were action packed and enthralling。 Poor Charlie better take it easy for a while。 He was tuned up good in this one。 Also great to see characters (Feder Great read, fantastic authorLove the Tracy Crosswhite series and now I love the Charles Jenkins series。 The Charles Jenkins series is awesome on audio。 The narrator is fabulous。 Because of the Russia dialogue, I just love the chosen narrator。 I loved spending the weekend listening to the Silent Sisters narration。 The plot was fantastic。 The pages were action packed and enthralling。 Poor Charlie better take it easy for a while。 He was tuned up good in this one。 Also great to see characters (Federov) from other books brought back and on the right side this time。 Nice heartstring jerk from CJ at the end too。 。。。more

While I enjoyed the first two books in this series, I had a hard time getting into this one, so I put it aside for two weeks and then picked it back up。 I struggled with the Russian names so finally made a list so I could figure out who was who。 But, I am glad I finally finished。 It brought closure to the “seven sisters。” But if there is a 4th book in this series, I will have to think long and hard before I pick it up。

So far the Charles Jenkins thrillers have been a blast to read but this latest installment has been a letdown for me。 Mr。 Dugoni has been treading that thin line of the believable this whole series and maybe it's the ongoing war, but for me, this book was too much on the other side of that metaphorical line。 So far the Charles Jenkins thrillers have been a blast to read but this latest installment has been a letdown for me。 Mr。 Dugoni has been treading that thin line of the believable this whole series and maybe it's the ongoing war, but for me, this book was too much on the other side of that metaphorical line。 。。。more

I’m actually giving this a 4。5。 An amazing story that’s suspense at its best。 This is the final installment in the Charles Jenkins trilogy and it was excellent。 The protagonist is well-defined and a genuine hero。 The background of Putin’s Russia is the perfect setting。 Political intrigue heightens the plot。 Definitely recommend this。

Fabulous。 I was rivetted and on my day off sat reading all the day。 Gripping plot, great cation, interesting background and believable and likeable protagonists。

Good book。, however, the idea that a six foot five black man, who had long been on the Kremlin's most wanted list, could return to Moscow and spend several days in the midst of mayhem largely undetected is a bit unbelievable。 Kind of like casting five foot seven Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher。 Good book。, however, the idea that a six foot five black man, who had long been on the Kremlin's most wanted list, could return to Moscow and spend several days in the midst of mayhem largely undetected is a bit unbelievable。 Kind of like casting five foot seven Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher。 。。。more

3。5 stars。 While this is a very exciting page turner it is hard to believe that a large black man in his sixties who is on Russia's kill list which has an extremely small black population can roam the streets of Moscow without being noticed。 Otherwise, this is an action-packed well written thriller。 Reading the first two books in this series helps with some background information but it is not necessary。 Recommend。 3。5 stars。 While this is a very exciting page turner it is hard to believe that a large black man in his sixties who is on Russia's kill list which has an extremely small black population can roam the streets of Moscow without being noticed。 Otherwise, this is an action-packed well written thriller。 Reading the first two books in this series helps with some background information but it is not necessary。 Recommend。 。。。more

Rounding Out the TrilogyRobert Dugoni has written the ultimate third book in this seriies。 He develops his characters as not only intriguing, but also believable。 His plot has enough twists and turns to hold the reader's interest。 I would recommend this book to mystery lovers, espionage afficionados, and to anyone who loves a fantastic story。 Rounding Out the TrilogyRobert Dugoni has written the ultimate third book in this seriies。 He develops his characters as not only intriguing, but also believable。 His plot has enough twists and turns to hold the reader's interest。 I would recommend this book to mystery lovers, espionage afficionados, and to anyone who loves a fantastic story。 。。。more

Typical Dugoni fast paced international cliff hangar。 I’ve rated the book at 3 stars because in my view it’s not really a cliff hangar。 Once the story gets moving the outcome is fairly obvious to anyone who has read books 1 and 2 in the Charles Jenkins’ trilogy。 Secondly, the first segments of the book with our hero not yet back in Russia hold together quite well, but the latter segments with Charlie dodging around in Russia seem unrealistic。

I like Charlie Jenkins, and these are good spy thrillers。 I just haven't decided how I feel about spy thrillers in general。 It was also a pretty odd book to read during the Ukraine War。 I like Charlie Jenkins, and these are good spy thrillers。 I just haven't decided how I feel about spy thrillers in general。 It was also a pretty odd book to read during the Ukraine War。 。。。more

It’s rare to really find a story you enjoy and yes the main character has a strong moral compass and you feel the thrill, emotions and adventure with them。Really loved this series, is this the end? Who knows…

Not easy wrapping my old head round those Russian names but by the last page I had it all figured。 Well mostly, haha。 A thrilling listen never the less

Sequels usually suck。 Not this one。 I've been reading this author for years, and he never disappoints, and this book is no acception。 It's the third in the series, and at least as good as the first。If you like action, spies, love stories, government cover up, whatever, I recommend this author, this series, and this book。But do yourself a favor。 Start with book 1。 Sequels usually suck。 Not this one。 I've been reading this author for years, and he never disappoints, and this book is no acception。 It's the third in the series, and at least as good as the first。If you like action, spies, love stories, government cover up, whatever, I recommend this author, this series, and this book。But do yourself a favor。 Start with book 1。 。。。more

This is the third in the Charles Jenkins series。 Once again Charles I sent to Russia to retrieve he final two of the seven sisters。 Not an easy task as he must escape numerous groups/individuals who know he is in Russia。 Hopefully we will see more of Charles as he is a resourceful individual。
