Summary

I once thought one of my ruthless boys could be the killer I’m hunting。 They’re all dark, deadly and more than capable of brutality。

But now I’m held by the King I’ve been stalking in the shadows and when I unmask him, he’ll realise he made a huge mistake in taking my brother from this world。

My Kings are coming for me, I know that in my soul。 They’re on their way to rip me from my enemy’s arms and tear him apart for me。

My heart beats to the sound of their names。

But I won’t wait around to be rescued。 Everything has led me to this moment and I’m ready to destroy the Fae who stole my brother from me。

Secrets will be uncovered。 Destiny will be decided。 Death will deliver us all in the end。

No one will escape the conclusion of this story without blood on their hands。 I guess it’s a good thing I’m a Vampire then, because I just so happen to have a taste for blood。

Start with series with book one, Dark Fae。

The story was multi-faceted, epic and enchanting。 The character development was beautifully done and the entire series was an enriching and entertaining experience。I'm a sucker for a strong heroine and Elise was a freakin' BOSS! She is strong, self-assured, dangerous and bloodthirsty。 I greatly admired her and wanted to be her。 I laughed, loved, and grieved with her throughout the series。 She definitely earned her storied ending。I didn't like some parts of how the story ended and was absolutely crushed a couple of times while weeping quietly and frequently, but the story is what it is and I gotta give props to the authors for a great story。The authors have a couple more book series based in this fantasy realm and I'll be definitely checking those out, but I'm a little sad that this one is over。 It is absolutely a bittersweet ending。 Regardless of my reservations for some aspects of the series, I'd still recommend the books to all lovers of fantasy and reverse harem enthusiasts。 。。。more

Although I know they were Disney tattoos but I wish the tattoo for Gabriel had been Big Bird from Sesame Street because that’s what he calls him。 Him bonding with Periwinkle was so cute! And his chat with Rosalie and giving her the tattoo to cover her scars。 The way he supports Elise in quiet ways is everything。 But his relationship with Leon has to be my favourite。 The ‘prank’ in the most fucked up way was so wholesome。 Then when he sung Hakuna Matata, and when he had to give himself a new identity he chose a Lion shifter to really be the Scar to Leon’s Mufasa。 ♏️ Gabriel。 I adore Gabriel。 I’m so mad that his bond with Elise was left to so late in the series BUT that scene at zodiac with Orion, some protein balls and a rather large 🍆 was the funniest thing I’ve read。 Having him introduce the harem to Bill was so sweet I’m glad he has him and I hope we get a Bill cameo in ZA to meet the other members of his family。 The way he used the sight makes me laugh and the others trying to hide things from him。 But oh my stars when he built the house in the epilogue living out his little Harpy nesting dreams it was so cute。 Dante still is nothing for me。 He’s still just 🇮🇹⚡️⛈ and nothing else。 The Italian is annoying like stop saying stronzo just say asshole。 If I’d been reading this as a physical book, instead of kindle, needing to translate things would have driven me insane。The epilogues…I liked the pitball game and finding out Elise and Leon would go pro。 I liked the wedding。I loved Gabriel building them a home and finding out what sent him to Zodiac Academy。 I did not need the children, or their order forms, or their high school crushes and eventual mates。 Or the boys being overprotective dads to a teenage girl。 I could have MAYBE handled one tiny mention of a baby and them watching the Lion King as a family but no we got full blown family life and I hated it。 And I certainly did not fucking need Ryder becoming a house husband。 My man went through some personal growth but he did not become domestic! What the fuck was that! I don’t need to think about him doing the laundry。 Ugh why did that epilogue happen。 RatingThe plot, Elise, Dante and the epilogue ⭐️The Disney references and the bromance between Gabriel/Ryder/Leon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 。。。more

I would probably give this one more so 3。5 stars。 It was my least favorite in the series。 A lot happened but it felt sort of rushed, like we were being thrown everything at the last minute while simultaneously it didn’t feel like a lot happened。 I also thought it could’ve ended sooner instead adding the 3 months later, 3 years later, 16 years later, kind of ruining the mystery of what is going to happen in ZA book 8 if I know these characters live happily ever after。 Still, I plan on reading the I would probably give this one more so 3。5 stars。 It was my least favorite in the series。 A lot happened but it felt sort of rushed, like we were being thrown everything at the last minute while simultaneously it didn’t feel like a lot happened。 I also thought it could’ve ended sooner instead adding the 3 months later, 3 years later, 16 years later, kind of ruining the mystery of what is going to happen in ZA book 8 if I know these characters live happily ever after。 Still, I plan on reading the other spin off series & rereading ZA 。。。more

mediocre compared to the restI think my title says it all。 The book was loooong and had so many redundant sex scenes I literally just skipped through half of them。 Don’t get me wrong, I love a good dirty book, but this one just dragged on。 Too little plot focus, too much sex focus - and boring scenes at that。 Not impressed。

Okay I’m very pro poly relationships where it’s a woman dating 3 separate guys who all live together and raise a family together not caring who the father is (literally my favorite thing in the Netflix show, Sense8) but this did not give that。 Look the Zodiac Academy isn’t some genius work of literature。 I loved the characters and the plot and the world。 I think they’re all great, but definitely they could’ve been better with more editing and shaving the rough edges。 It’s clear that this series Okay I’m very pro poly relationships where it’s a woman dating 3 separate guys who all live together and raise a family together not caring who the father is (literally my favorite thing in the Netflix show, Sense8) but this did not give that。 Look the Zodiac Academy isn’t some genius work of literature。 I loved the characters and the plot and the world。 I think they’re all great, but definitely they could’ve been better with more editing and shaving the rough edges。 It’s clear that this series isn’t even close to the level of ZA。 It’s very much just erotica with no plot AND it throws away the rules established in ZA。 I hate that I read this and now it’s ingrained inside my head but so glad that the authors at least left this part of Gabriel’s life vague in ZA that I can at least pretend this never happened。It’s established that not only are Elysian Mates extremely rare, but it’s even rarer to find your mate。 So you’re telling me this average vampire with no significant power has not only FOUR Elysian mates but that she also found all of them? Absolutely not。 The explanation that she has four E。M。s because her soul was fractured is also insulting to the poly community AND doesn’t make sense。 She wasn’t born with a fractured soul and fate is set in stone AND meeting your E。M。 isn’t fated。 By the time her soul was fractured, she and the guys were already adults。 I know this is just a book, but nothing pisses me off more than continuity errors (and I mean major ones)。 I liked Elise at the start of the series, but she’s just this selfish two-dimensional character that in no way seems like the perfect match for Gabriel let alone the three other men。 She says she’s there to avenge her brother’s murder but it’s clear she’s burying her grief under lusting over these four guys, who all happen to be prime murder suspects。 Another serious theme that could’ve been addressed in the series if this was an actual serious series。 But it’s just straight smut。 Additionally, Elise’s explanation for wanting to date these four men at once (which is totally fine and within her rights) is that she doesn’t want to entrust her heart to one person because it gives too much power to one person。 Which is not what being poly is at all。 It would make more sense that these separate relationships taught her things about herself and the men learned how to open up about things and learn about themselves。 There definitely could’ve been a natural development where she could trust one person to hold her heart and that person happened to be her E。M。 and the others could’ve been her Nebular Allies。 Also, she says she loves these men and they love her but why? They don’t know much about each other and everything is superficial。 Mostly just sex and lust driving them to each other。 The entire books she’s constantly arguing with the men about how she doesn’t want to be trapped in a relationship and controlled (totally understandable) and she feared being forced by an E。M。 bond to love one person and hurt the others。 But then the E。M。 bond is forcing the four men to relinquish what they want and now they’re all stuck with each other。 It just doesn’t sit right with me。 It’d be way different if there wasn’t E。M。 bonds and they all CHOSE to live together and raise children。 The entire series could’ve been 3 books MAX。 This series is exhausting and it just stretches out the King mystery way too long。 I will admit I do like Ryder and Dante a lot。 I think Ryder is funny and Dante is loving。 Gabriel is more cringe and I definitely like him better in ZA than in this series。 Leon is just as annoying as ever。 And after 5 books, I don’t like Elise at all。 I think she’s vapid and selfish to an absolute fault。 A two-dimensional character with the personality of a walnut。 The “little angel”, “angel”, and “little monster” nicknames were so cringe。 That all being said there were moments that I thought were funny, sweet, and entertaining。 I just wish it had the depth that ZA has and wasn’t just 5 books of porn。 。。。more

I’m actually really frustrated with this ending。 All the huge jumps in time we so confusing。 I feel like there were so many plot lines left weirdly open and also Gabriel deserved a much better divine moment…。 Like how come he gets left for the last 10% of the book。 He deserved better。

I thoroughly enjoyed this series, probably even more so than Zodiac Academy。 I feel like no page was left unturned, even if some of it was predictable。 I especially enjoyed the ZA crossovers。 The character development in this series is really top notch。 Unlike with Zodiac, I didn’t really feel the need to gloss over certain character chapters (Xavier, Geraldine)。 It was all important and I was eager to dive in。 Though, I will say, Leon does have a lot of banter dialogue。 But that’s his vibe。 I f I thoroughly enjoyed this series, probably even more so than Zodiac Academy。 I feel like no page was left unturned, even if some of it was predictable。 I especially enjoyed the ZA crossovers。 The character development in this series is really top notch。 Unlike with Zodiac, I didn’t really feel the need to gloss over certain character chapters (Xavier, Geraldine)。 It was all important and I was eager to dive in。 Though, I will say, Leon does have a lot of banter dialogue。 But that’s his vibe。 I found myself falling in love with every main character, yes, even Eugene grew on me。 Elise is the perfect amount of vulnerable and fierce。 Ryder is just… no words, perfection。 Leon is perfectly summed up as the sunshine needed in this series。 Gabriel, mysterious as he is, quickly became the foundation of the harem。 And Dante, just the perfect, handsome family man。 I seriously could read 5 more books just about them。 I have found that the authors have a very specific writing style。 Everything important to the plot happens in the last 20% of every book。 I don’t mind it。 Makes it fun。 But some people may not like that。 All in all, truly a great series with fantastic spice。 This made me love RH! Well…。 What a ride this series has been! As much as I absolutely love and adore all of the characters…。 The pacing was not very good。 I feel like this last book was so unnecessarily long (like, I was going through my highlights and was like, “did this really happen in this book?”), which was sad because it definitely took away from my overall experience reading :( the good news is, I was happy with the ending and I am feeling optimistic going into the last ZA 🤩 🌟🌟🌟。5🌶🌶🌶🌶。5
