Interior Design School? Check。 Cute house to fix up? Check。

Sexy, grumpy neighbor who is going to get in the way of your plans? Check。 Unfortunately。

Grace Travis has it all figured out。 In between finishing school and working a million odd jobs, she’ll get her degree and her dream job。 Most importantly, she’ll have a place to belong, something her harsh mother could never make。 When an opportunity to fix up—and live in—a little house on the beach comes along, Grace is all in。 Until her biggest roadblock moves in next door。

Noah Jansen knows how to make a deal。 As a real estate developer, he knows when he's found something special。 Something he could even call home。 Provided he can expand by taking over the house next door--the house with the combative and beautiful woman living in it。

With the rules for being neighborly going out the window, Grace and Noah are in an all-out feud。 But sometimes, your nemesis can show you that home is always where the heart is。

How To Love Your NeighborBy Sophie SullivanI do love the grumpy neighbor and slowly winning his heart trope - I loved how Sophie Sullivan peeled the layers on these characters - also great to see Noah's character was from "Ten Rules for Faking It" - Chris' brother。 The truth is, this book was definitely more fun for me and I really loved the great chemistry and engaging storyline。 I just could not get enough of this story。 If you love home improvement shows like those in HGTV then this is for yo How To Love Your NeighborBy Sophie SullivanI do love the grumpy neighbor and slowly winning his heart trope - I loved how Sophie Sullivan peeled the layers on these characters - also great to see Noah's character was from "Ten Rules for Faking It" - Chris' brother。 The truth is, this book was definitely more fun for me and I really loved the great chemistry and engaging storyline。 I just could not get enough of this story。 If you love home improvement shows like those in HGTV then this is for you。 I love that the setting is in SoCal, my hometown。 。。。more

I was astonished at how quickly this reeled me in。 A little bit of a fun twist on the enemies to lovers tropes, It is the perfect hate to love story with a little family drama added in。 Noah and Grace have great chemistry and their storyline was engaging and fun。 The supporting characters are richly written and I found out this is a second book in a possible series, so now I need to go back and read about Chris and Everly's love story。 Morty was a personal favorite of mine。 A light, easy, consum I was astonished at how quickly this reeled me in。 A little bit of a fun twist on the enemies to lovers tropes, It is the perfect hate to love story with a little family drama added in。 Noah and Grace have great chemistry and their storyline was engaging and fun。 The supporting characters are richly written and I found out this is a second book in a possible series, so now I need to go back and read about Chris and Everly's love story。 Morty was a personal favorite of mine。 A light, easy, consuming read。Thank you Net Galley and St。 Martin’s Press for an ARC in exchange for my honest review。 。。。more

*Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-arc。 All thoughts are my own。*I've been reading more romances with different takes this year than I have seen before。 An interior designer was something new for me and while it started as enemies to lovers, it was not enemies through as much of the book as I expected。Overall, I really enjoyed this book。 Not an all time favorite, but still very enjoyable。 I did find that some of the ways the pet names were felt a little cringey *Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-arc。 All thoughts are my own。*I've been reading more romances with different takes this year than I have seen before。 An interior designer was something new for me and while it started as enemies to lovers, it was not enemies through as much of the book as I expected。Overall, I really enjoyed this book。 Not an all time favorite, but still very enjoyable。 I did find that some of the ways the pet names were felt a little cringey to me, but that was probably just the audiobook narrator's voice that made it feel that way to me。The plotline with the main characters mom did feel a little rushed and at times took a back seat。 It was almost unnecessary。 On the flip side, the issues with the main male characters dad were only every talked about and never actually brought to light, which is something I would have liked to see。Overall, four stars。 I will be looking to see what else Sophie Sullivan writes。 。。。more

I kept wanting this one to be a little bit spicier and a little bit funnier。 It felt more like a hallmark movie, but a lot longer。 Some cute and sweet and sexy moments, but not enough for me to care a lot about the characters

Ok I tried to like this book。 I really did。 I needed a cute romcom to get over my stressful exam week。 I saw the full audiobook pop up on youtube so I started to listen。 Ugh these characters are just so unlikeable? I don’t even know how to describe it, they were just so uninteresting and annoying lol。 Normally I can finish a book if it’s bad (I read all of the 50 shades of grey books in high school 😭💀) but I DNF this one。 I got like 4 hours into the audiobook and gave up。 Yeah, just really borin Ok I tried to like this book。 I really did。 I needed a cute romcom to get over my stressful exam week。 I saw the full audiobook pop up on youtube so I started to listen。 Ugh these characters are just so unlikeable? Kind of a boring book。 I was excited to start this one because it had promise of the whole enemies to lovers concept。 Was a little slow and when the two finally started really showing their feelings it was just very boring。 There was zero spice in this book。 The kisses were barely detailed。 The writing wasn’t bad but just overall a really boring book and I had trouble finishing it。

Enemies to lovers? Check。 Rich guy and average girl? Check。 Grumpy character and peppy character? Check。 It did it all, but I also loved it。

It took more than a month for me to finish this。 But then, I liked the cozy-vibe, so yeah, two stars。。。Things I liked:🧡 The idea: I think it could've been fun of two neighbours fighting then gradually becoming a couple。🧡 As I said earlier, The Cozy Feeling of renovation of houses: They were in a nice town and it was pretty cool。Things I wasn't impressed with:⚫ The writing: Too slow, not interesting and thus, even though the premise was nice, the book wasn't the greatest。⚫ The female lead's is It took more than a month for me to finish this。 But then, I liked the cozy-vibe, so yeah, two stars。。。Things I liked:🧡 The idea: I think it could've been fun of two neighbours fighting then gradually becoming a couple。🧡 As I said earlier, The Cozy Feeling of renovation of houses: They were in a nice town and it was pretty cool。Things I wasn't impressed with:⚫ The writing: Too slow, not interesting and thus, even though the premise was nice, the book wasn't the greatest。⚫ The female lead's issue: She was too focused on her mother, the author should've chosen another side track。 Like Male lead's side track was nicely handled。⚫ Not interesting chemistry: Therw isn't much to work with on the romance side。 Yeah, they had their moments but it's not like I'll be shipping the。 。。。more

This book was a mixed bag for me。 There were chapters I found charming and chapters that bored me。 I would have enjoyed this book much more if it had been edited more succinctly。 I did like the main characters。

I am a huge interior design fan so when I heard about this book I immediately picked it up! It was a bit slow at times and fast at others, just a weird inconsistent pace。 I loved our characters individually as well as together, and thought every character felt very real and nothing was just surface level。 🏠🔨🎨🛋🪴🖼📚💐

This was a lot of fun to read。 The banter between the two main characters and their development is really great。 They both have parental issues and reasons for not getting involved in a relationship, but they are adults and act like it by having actual conversations and working to clear things up。 Even the final drama obstacle required in all romance novels before the HEA wasn't that over the top。 Overall, it was just a fun book about two people trying to move on in life together from some prett This was a lot of fun to read。 The banter between the two main characters and their development is really great。 They both have parental issues and reasons for not getting involved in a relationship, but they are adults and act like it by having actual conversations and working to clear things up。 Even the final drama obstacle required in all romance novels before the HEA wasn't that over the top。 Overall, it was just a fun book about two people trying to move on in life together from some pretty crappy parenting。 (It helps that they have a great community of friends, including older, found family member, and his siblings。) This is the second in a series, but like most romance series you can read it without it mattering。 I will be reading the first book and any others that come along though!Sex scenes are all fade to black if you love romance but so much the sexual descriptions。 。。。more

Listened on audiobook at 1。5 speed because the narration, while not bad, was slow。 TBF, I did skip a good chunk of the second half, so take that as you will。 It's the kind of book you listen to while cleaning。 It started off as a solid 3 stars, but things started dragging。The biggest problem was the writing。 It was in 3rd person limited。 Dual PoV。 It was extremely noticeable through the audiobook, but the narrative style and writing was clumsy。 ***This is not an excerpt from the book, but this i Listened on audiobook at 1。5 speed because the narration, while not bad, was slow。 TBF, I did skip a good chunk of the second half, so take that as you will。 It's the kind of book you listen to while cleaning。 It started off as a solid 3 stars, but things started dragging。The biggest problem was the writing。 It was in 3rd person limited。 Dual PoV。 It was extremely noticeable through the audiobook, but the narrative style and writing was clumsy。 ***This is not an excerpt from the book, but this is a recreation of what it sounded like: "She woke up, and she put on her makeup。 She went downstairs to make a piece of toast, and then she left the house。 She locked the door behind her before leaving。 She turned around, and her chest pinched when a dog lunged at towards her。"I kid you not。 This is what it sounded like。 And that's what made the story so difficult to get through。 It's not that the story was terrible or anything。 There was focus on details that didn't need to be there and not enough focus on details I personally would have liked。 Like how the beach looked or how the outside of the house looked。 Characters were okay, but their development was shallow and forced。 Their chemistry was uneven。 It was written with all the "chest pounding" and "cheeks growing red," but the chemistry still felt painted on。 。。。more

An adorable story about healing and not judging books by their covers (which I always do!)。The beginning did seem a little rushed to me - you start almost in the middle of a story, I think。 But it's so cute and I loved the cast of characters and the fight to be their real selves。 4。75 rounded up。 An adorable story about healing and not judging books by their covers (which I always do!)。The beginning did seem a little rushed to me - you start almost in the middle of a story, I think。 But it's so cute and I loved the cast of characters and the fight to be their real selves。 4。75 rounded up。 。。。more

I’m sorry to this author, and I don’t say this lightly, but this was one of the worst books I’ve ever read。

2。5 This might have been affected by the mood I was in。 There were parts of the plot that were cheesy or clearly manipulated。 Do you really expect me to believe that they designed, painted, and decorated a room in one evening? How, may I ask, do you paint multiple coats and let it be fully dry enough to hang shelfs on the wall? How?! Cute idea, but not amazing writing。

Michelle Jarc

Romance book with an annoying audio narrator (which can just ruin books for me)。 Book also stalled too much for me。

Alexa

This was really cute! I love a good hate to love story, I love interior design and DIY so this book had it all for me! I enjoyed the main characters relationship and their relationships with family and friends!
