Blew through it quickly but a very good self-contained story。 Very dark but a good example of how batshit Wolverine can be, in a good way。

Chris Norton

Mostly blood。

A cinematic classic- a comic that reads like a movie。 A must read for Logan fans。

this was def a wild ride, but i absolutely loved it。 one of my favorites。 i loved the backstory as to how logan became a pacifist/why he no longer uses his claws even if it was slightly predictable。 the journey with clint (meeting ashley, who i loved。 her character design is awesome) and then the journey back only to discover that none of it matters anymore。 the final battle between bruce and logan had me on the edge of my seat。 loved the conclusion! would definitely recommend

MARK MILLAR'S BEST WORK AND THANK GOD IT'S A WOLVERINE STORY! It's been awhile since I gave this story a read and I felt like it was about time to revisit。 I gotta say, I loved it more the second time。 Over the years I've heard people actually don't like this story and I always found that strange。 Mark Millar has a reputation of being an over edgy writer and I would agree in some instances , but when Millar hits, HE HITS! People will say the story is too dark without reason however I think Millar executes the dark theme of this 'what-if' dystopian world perfectly。 We see a future where the bad guys have won and Wolverine turns to the life of a farmer and starts his family。 Going to a route of peace after seeing all his friends tragically lost。 The Hulk turns into a bad guy and is the landlord over all of California (Now called Hulkland) and he sends his inbreed children to collect from Logan's farm。 When he doesn't have the full amount he is made an example in front of his wife and kids。 After healing he has a month to get double the rent。 How does he do it? Well, a surviving old man Hawkeye (Now blind which I think is cool as fuck) comes to Logan with a deal to help him deliver some goods in exchange for money。 It's a road trip story that fills us in on the crazy world left over from chaos。 There are a lot of twists and turns along the way with a crazy climax and ending。 The story is all around fun and action packed in a way that only Millar can work haha。 Paired with Millar on art duty is Steve McNiven which if you read Marvel Comics in the mid 2000s to early 2010s you'd be very familiar with。 His artwork is breathtaking and fits such a world building story like this。 I love it! I can understand where some people might think this is over the top and Millar is once again being an edge lord, but to me it's his best work and one of my favorite Wolverine stories。 What can I say, I have a soft spot for Mark! 。。。more

Pretty good I guess, since covid-19 I have been spending a lot more time with manga, and it's a bit bizarre to be reading Western comics。 I spent the entire book going wouldn't this be better if it was done in the Japanese style。But hey gritty violence is an old friend that is nice to visit every now and again, shame it hasn't grown up。 Pretty good I guess, since covid-19 I have been spending a lot more time with manga, and it's a bit bizarre to be reading Western comics。 I spent the entire book going wouldn't this be better if it was done in the Japanese style。But hey gritty violence is an old friend that is nice to visit every now and again, shame it hasn't grown up。 。。。more

I'll be honest, I'm a complete Wolverine + X-Men noob, so I couldn't tell you if this was character assassination or not even if I tried。 As far as a dirty, uncomfortable, desolate dystopian story goes, this packed some punch and gave me more than a few surprises。 It takes you on a wild ride from start to finish, and this may be the fastest I've ever read a comic bindup。 My only major critique was that it felt nihilistic for the sake of nihilism, which I'm personally not a fan of (it's the main I'll be honest, I'm a complete Wolverine + X-Men noob, so I couldn't tell you if this was character assassination or not even if I tried。 As far as a dirty, uncomfortable, desolate dystopian story goes, this packed some punch and gave me more than a few surprises。 It takes you on a wild ride from start to finish, and this may be the fastest I've ever read a comic bindup。 My only major critique was that it felt nihilistic for the sake of nihilism, which I'm personally not a fan of (it's the main reason I stopped reading the Walking Dead)。Side Note: This is next to nothing like the movie, so it's still worth a read if you're looking for a "new" story! 。。。more

I feel like me saying how great Old Man Logan is, is like me going to a BBQ competition and telling people how great brisket is。 This was my first time reading it。 Such a great storyline, all the way through the end。

Not much of a Marvel guy, and I always thought Wolverine was over-hyped。But this was a kick-ass super hero Western!

To tell you the truth I have no idea where I stand on this book。 At certain points I love it at others I hate it。 For every page of awesome amazing art, there is one that is a jumbled mess。 For every year piece of dialog there is one that is just cringe worthy。 As soon as I think I'm living the direction their going the story takes a sharp turn for the worse。That all being said the fact I get to say the name Spider-Bitch makes me laugh every time。 To tell you the truth I have no idea where I stand on this book。 At certain points I love it at others I hate it。 For every page of awesome amazing art, there is one that is a jumbled mess。 For every year piece of dialog there is one that is just cringe worthy。 As soon as I think I'm living the direction their going the story takes a sharp turn for the worse。That all being said the fact I get to say the name Spider-Bitch makes me laugh every time。 。。。more

Çizimleri çok güzeldi ama hikayesi öyle olağanüstü değildi bence。 Çok fazla övülmüş bu çizgi roman。 Evrene yabancı olduğumdan mıdır ben öyle aşırı lezzet almadım。 Hatta hikaye biraz klişe kategorisine bile girebilir。 Fakat yolculuk boyunca Avengers tarihine yapılan atıflar sıradan intikam hikayesine nostalji katmış。 Çok güzeldi o sayfaları okumak。 Her şeye rağmen okuması kolay ve eğlenceliydi。 Ben keyif aldım。 Kütüphanemde de tutacağım bu çizgi romanı。

Sebastiano Cappello

Il fumetto che ha ispirato il regista del film Logan the Wolverine。La storia autoconclusiva è ben diversa dal film, ma ha dei dettagli in comune。Viaggio on the road, western, azione, distopia。 Tanti cameo。 Una bellissima e sofferta avventura。

Thoroughly enjoyed this。 Even with the movies, Logan has never been a character that I had any sort of interest, but Millar made me engage with his trauma in way that I wasn’t expecting。 The whole setting of that world was great。 From the apocalyptic aesthetic, the gang dynamics and character interactions。 Also, I’m always in for a road trip kind of story。 Anyway, every aspect of this book is right up my alley。

Will Millar show us what happened 50 years ago? This one gets a lot of hype, but overall, it’s a decent read。 I think it fell apart in the last issue, but the book does work fairly well as a ‘what if’ story。 I'm glad that the movie only took elements from the story and didn't try to adapt too much。 The art is consistently good, but not too memorable。 。。。more
