I’m surprised Hyacinth’s book would be my favorite （I’m calling it now since I doubt Gregory’s book will top it）， but I loved it almost from the start。 She’s now my top Bridgerton sibling; ironic， since she’s the youngest。

This book is definitely different than the rest of the Bridgerton novels。 To the point that I briefly wondered if Quinn had used a ghost writer or had collaborated with another author to produce。 This wasn't a bad difference， though I can see why some people might dislike inconsistency in writing styles within a series。 I found this novel quite enjoyable and I think a lot of that was due to Lady Danbury having a larger part。 She was always one of my favorite secondary characters and though she i This book is definitely different than the rest of the Bridgerton novels。 To the point that I briefly wondered if Quinn had used a ghost writer or had collaborated with another author to produce。 This wasn't a bad difference， though I can see why some people might dislike inconsistency in writing styles within a series。 I found this novel quite enjoyable and I think a lot of that was due to Lady Danbury having a larger part。 She was always one of my favorite secondary characters and though she is still secondary， she plays a much larger role in Hyacinth's story than any of the other siblings。One thing to note is that at this point in the series， both Hyacinth and Gareth seem a bit flat and unoriginal。 With that being said， I am willing to attribute this to the fact that 1） this is historical romance so we are starting at a lower standard and 2） when you binge read eight books that share characters but attempts to give you an intimate look at each one's romance， you are going to see similarities。 Obviously， eight siblings are going to be a bit similar - they were raised by the same parents in the same house and run in the same circles - and though there was an opportunity to make Gareth different it still had to be believable that he would be a match for Hyacinth。This isn't literary genius and this book will not be studied in literature classrooms 100 years from now but it was a perfectly suitable read。 。。。more

Before I sat down to watch the gloriousness that is the Shondaland TV adaptation of The Bridgertons， I had only read book 1 （Daphne） and book 5 （Eloise）。 After watching the first season， which contains a WHOPPER of a spoiler for book 4， I decided I would read all the other ones before the next season comes out。Generally， I have really enjoyed the books about the better-developed characters in this series。 （Poor Francesca， the Bridgerton everyone forgot。） The babies of the family， Gregory and Hya Before I sat down to watch the gloriousness that is the Shondaland TV adaptation of The Bridgertons， I had only read book 1 （Daphne） and book 5 （Eloise）。 After watching the first season， which contains a WHOPPER of a spoiler for book 4， I decided I would read all the other ones before the next season comes out。Generally， I have really enjoyed the books about the better-developed characters in this series。 （Poor Francesca， the Bridgerton everyone forgot。） The babies of the family， Gregory and Hyacinth， obviously suffer from less time in the limelight， so my expectations were tempered when I started this， Hyacinth's story。 But it was great！ It definitely helps that we get a whole bunch of Lady Danbury， one of my all-time favorite secondary characters in a fictional series。 She is utterly delightful。 And I love the way Hyacinth's character develops。 She is so spunky and frankly kind of exhausting。 We all know someone like her。 We love them， but in small doses。 It's great to see a heroine like this， as opposed to a constant parade of Disney princesses， and to see her get her happy ending。 It's always fun to get the cameos of the other family members。 The scene with Anthony is hilarious。 Gregory gets a few good scenes as well， thank goodness， because he was even more of a cipher than Francesca， if possible。 Heh！ 。。。more

I had a love/hate relationship with Gareth throughout the book。 But ultimately ended up loving him with Hyacinth！ I wish the 2nd epilogue would have touched on Gareth with the Bridgerton family since a big emphasis of the book was how he didn’t have a family and was so lonely。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 Este fue el libro que menos me gustó de la saga， pero aún así lo disfruté。El libro nos cuenta la historia de la menor de los 8 hermanos Bridgerton， Hyacinth， la última de las hembras que falta por casarse。Hyacinth va a leerle todos los martes a Lady Danbury， ya que es una de las pocas personas que le agradan y un día en un evento social se encuentra con el nieto de este， Gareth y descubre que es la única persona que no le sale corriendo a su ingenio y su falta de tacto y esto la descoloca， porqu Este fue el libro que menos me gustó de la saga， pero aún así lo disfruté。El libro nos cuenta la historia de la menor de los 8 hermanos Bridgerton， Hyacinth， la última de las hembras que falta por casarse。Hyacinth va a leerle todos los martes a Lady Danbury， ya que es una de las pocas personas que le agradan y un día en un evento social se encuentra con el nieto de este， Gareth y descubre que es la única persona que no le sale corriendo a su ingenio y su falta de tacto y esto la descoloca， porque a pesar de esto él es igual a ella y logra dejarla sin palabras。 El único problema es que él tiene la mala reputación de un libertino。Gareth tiene una historia interesante con su familia， ya que todos en la ciudad saben que él y su padre no se hablan， pero ninguno saben la razón。 Resulta que Gareth nunca tuvo una buena relación con su padre y cuándo está a punto de entrar a la universidad descubre la razón， su padre le dice que él es ilegítimo y que no sabe quién es su padre， por esta razón nunca lo quiso， en ese momento Gareth decide irse de la casa de su padre y con una pequeña cantidad de dinero que le dejó su madre logra sobrevivir a demás de la ayuda de su abuela。Hyacinth y Garteh se acercan， debido a que la abuela por parte del padre de Gareth le dejó un diario y está escrito en Italiano y Hyacinth lo entiende。Ahí es dónde comienza su relación y empiezan a surgir sentimientos entre ellos， a demás que descubren que la abuela de Gareth había dejado unas joyas ocultan en la antigua casa de Gareth y de esta manera se embarcan en una aventura de búsqueda。Algo que no me gustó de la historia fue que Gareth， aunque le gustaba Hyacinth le propuso matrimonio por molestar a su padre y se acostó con ella， sólo para que no tenga oportunidad de cancelar el matrimonio y esto fue lo que más discordia me causó en el libro。También en algunos momentos la historia se tornaba un poco aburrida y aunque para el final se puso un tanto buena， no supera todos esos puntos malos que pasaron en las páginas anteriores。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 The story was good and the love growing between Hyacinth and Gareth was progressive and exciting。 However， I did not like that the ending felt a bit rushed and anticlimactic。 I wish there would have been more drama with his dad and with finding out his uncle was really his father。 Also， the epilogue with their daughter finding the jewels and putting them back， made me really not want to ever pick this one up again。
