I wish I could say that this series has improved from the first book， which I gave a grain of salt， but thus far with book two， I'm not seeing much in the way of improvement at all。The art is still cute， and the larger plot is picking up and getting revealed， but we still are skimped on character development for。。。well， pretty much everyone。 We continue to get next to nothing in the way of the side characters， and our MC and her LI haven't grown much at all either。 The pacing is still very errat I wish I could say that this series has improved from the first book， which I gave a grain of salt， but thus far with book two， I'm not seeing much in the way of improvement at all。The art is still cute， and the larger plot is picking up and getting revealed， but we still are skimped on character development for。。。well， pretty much everyone。 We continue to get next to nothing in the way of the side characters， and our MC and her LI haven't grown much at all either。 The pacing is still very erratic and difficult to keep up with。I want to like this series so much， but it is so very rough and difficult to read。 Will I keep going？ Yes。 I wound up with copies of the third and fourth volumes before I ever got volume 2。 Will I love it？ Only time will tell， I suppose。 。。。more

2nd volume of the super cute mermaid saga。 Volume one contains the first 6 episodes of the anime but this volume does not as you expect continue to run in tandem with the anime - there are some similarities but this seems to be separate - It still suffers from a lightning pace and some scenes being abrupt but otherwise its a fun entertaining read with absolutely super-cute BESM artwork。 The gloss notes at the end are helpful and interesting detailing cultural references。I have a bit of a soft sp 2nd volume of the super cute mermaid saga。 Volume one contains the first 6 episodes of the anime but this volume does not as you expect continue to run in tandem with the anime - there are some similarities but this seems to be separate - It still suffers from a lightning pace and some scenes being abrupt but otherwise its a fun entertaining read with absolutely super-cute BESM artwork。 The gloss notes at the end are helpful and interesting detailing cultural references。I have a bit of a soft spot for this series， its just so cute！ 。。。more

I didn't think this part of the storyline was as interesting because Lucia， Hanon， and Rina begins to find the other mermaids on their team and it becomes extremely difficult: primarily because the bad guy， Gackto， captured the other mermaids and he even has one working for him。 I thought that was the best and the twisted part because they need all seven of the mermaids to stop the destruction in the oceans but one of them are working for the evil。 I definitely did not see that coming and it mak I didn't think this part of the storyline was as interesting because Lucia， Hanon， and Rina begins to find the other mermaids on their team and it becomes extremely difficult: primarily because the bad guy， Gackto， captured the other mermaids and he even has one working for him。 I thought that was the best and the twisted part because they need all seven of the mermaids to stop the destruction in the oceans but one of them are working for the evil。 I definitely did not see that coming and it makes me want to read more！ 。。。more
