Summary

All books want to be read, right?

WRONG!

This book absolutely does NOT want to be read。 Not today, not tomorrow。。。 No chance。

Because if this book is read all kinds of strange and magical things might happen。 Silly things and secret things。。。 Alligators might appear, the book might try to fly away, and before you know it you'll be having all kinds of unexpected fun。 How AWFUL。

Ensireaktio kirjaan on 😄Tämä oli ihan hauska kirja, joka on selkeästi tarkoitettu lapsen ja aikuisen yhteiseen lukuhetkeen。 Siinä tämä kirja varmaan onkin hyvä, sillä hauskat tapahtumat ja sattumukset varmaan pitää mielenkiinnon yllä。Ja toivottavasti innoittavat tarttumaan kirjoihin jatkossakin 😊Suosittelen kirjaa kaikille, joita hassut tarinat, seikkailut ja erikoisuudet kiinnostavat 😊

This is a fun read for children and adults。

Such a wild ride! One of the best interactive books for kids I’ve come across。 My 9 year old was even amused and came into the room to enjoy it with her sister and me。 So clever and fun- I think I loved it as much as my kids did。 A must for anyone with little people in your life。

I am not necessarily the right audience for this sort of thing, and I think it's a bit played out in picture books。 But the graphic design IS exceptional。 I am not necessarily the right audience for this sort of thing, and I think it's a bit played out in picture books。 But the graphic design IS exceptional。 。。。more

Clever。 Pair this one with BJ Novak’s The Book with No Pictures

If you loved BJ Novak’s The Book With No Pictures, then you will be similarly delighted by this book。 My kids and I were cracking up reading it, and definitely will make it a regular in our house until we have to return it to the library! I particularly love how accessible words throughout inspired my first grader to hop in and contribute to reading some of the pages。 And obviously, our favorite part was when the letter A was replaced throughout with the letter O。 Mode it thot much more enjoyobl If you loved BJ Novak’s The Book With No Pictures, then you will be similarly delighted by this book。 My kids and I were cracking up reading it, and definitely will make it a regular in our house until we have to return it to the library! I loathed this book。 Petition to stop teaching kids made up words when they’re learning to read?

This book is not for storytime。 I'm not sure WHAT this book is good for but my coworker really enjoyed hearing me attempt to read it out loud。 ;) ty This book is not for storytime。 I'm not sure WHAT this book is good for but my coworker really enjoyed hearing me attempt to read it out loud。 ;) ty 。。。more

Like a mash-up of The Book with No Pictures, Press Here, and other random fun。

Julie

I enjoyed it and will *maybe* read it to a child but I will for sure need high energy for such a distinctly stubborn book

Karrie

A masterful interactive book。 A rabbit, some singing, and lots of nonsense accompanied by classic ink drawings。

Until the annoying damp fart of an ending, this is a thrillingly silly but clever book and hopefully will prepare a whole generation to get excited by Oulipo and The House of Leaves’ more playful moments。 Very clever and funny for the most part

This would be a fun read with a kid for sure。

When good words go bad you get this book。 The nonsense is trying to be clever but falls flat。However, there will be a reader some place that will say that this is the most wonderful and fantastic book ever。 This is not a book for everyone。 It is a book for that one person who has an odd sense of what a good book is。 While I hate to say it, this is one of the worse books I have ever read。 But there will be some who say it is the best book ever。I would like to talk to you dear reader who likes it。 When good words go bad you get this book。 The nonsense is trying to be clever but falls flat。However, there will be a reader some place that will say that this is the most wonderful and fantastic book ever。 This is not a book for everyone。 It is a book for that one person who has an odd sense of what a good book is。 While I hate to say it, this is one of the worse books I have ever read。 But there will be some who say it is the best book ever。I would like to talk to you dear reader who likes it。 Because WHY do you like this book? I think this book was awful。 If someone is reading to a kid and want to get creative, they should do it own their own and not read a book that does it for them。 Lame-0。

If I hadn't read the Book with No Pictures, this would have been funny。 Now it was just a copy attempting a bit different twist。 Nice pictures and most likely amuses readers, but I just can't get over that it recycles the idea so badly。 If I hadn't read the Book with No Pictures, this would have been funny。 Now it was just a copy attempting a bit different twist。 Nice pictures and most likely amuses readers, but I just can't get over that it recycles the idea so badly。 。。。more

If you've worn out "The book with no pictures" and "Press here," this is a worthy companion, if lacking a certain something。 I appreciated the inclusion of angles seen in other kid-lore, like Mad Libs, and the vowel-switching concept of the song "I like to eat apples and bananas。" This would be great fun to read out loud one-on-one, but its small size and (strangely) pastel and old-fashioned line drawings mean it might be hard to share with a group。 If you've worn out "The book with no pictures" and "Press here," this is a worthy companion, if lacking a certain something。 I appreciated the inclusion of angles seen in other kid-lore, like Mad Libs, and the vowel-switching concept of the song "I like to eat apples and bananas。" This would be great fun to read out loud one-on-one, but its small size and (strangely) pastel and old-fashioned line drawings mean it might be hard to share with a group。 。。。more

Best read dramatically, for the right effect! Super fun book, had my kids in giggles。 A book I would recommend purchasing so it can be read over and over again。
