Summary

Men of Hidden Justice
Because love can bleed into the darkest heart

My instincts had always served me well。
Listening to my gut, the warning voice in my head that told me when to walk away。
I never failed to heed the signs。
Until the day she walked into my office。
I knew she would be trouble, but I ignored the alarm bells。
And then it was too late, and I fell。 Hard。
A lie tore us apart, and I thought I’d lost her forever。
But now she’s back—with a secret she’s been keeping。
This time, I’m not letting her go。

4。5 ⭐️。 I listened to the audio of this book (so I didn’t have to put it down while driving or doing housework ;-)) and thoroughly enjoyed it。 (That deep male voice…phew *fanning myself*) I devoured the first two books in this series and have to admit I was a bit reluctant to read this one, because I was expecting a big fight and lots of drama, but luckily that wasn’t the case。 Julian was always intriguing to me and I’m so glad we got his story。 He is alpha, strong and loyal and oh so caring to 4。5 ⭐️。 I listened to the audio of this book (so I didn’t have to put it down while driving or doing housework ;-)) and thoroughly enjoyed it。 (That deep male voice…phew *fanning myself*) I devoured the first two books in this series and have to admit I was a bit reluctant to read this one, because I was expecting a big fight and lots of drama, but luckily that wasn’t the case。 Julian was always intriguing to me and I’m so glad we got his story。 He is alpha, strong and loyal and oh so caring to his Tally (and Jujubee)。 I loved how he was so devoted and never gave up on them even when they were separated and secrets were tearing them apart。 The love was always there between Tally and Julian and that is what made this story so good to me。 There was so much mutual respect and no unnecessary drama, exes etc。 Just a story of two people falling in love, some misunderstandings, heartache and a swoony HEA。 There was some action, sweet romance, suspense, mystery and hot steam。 This series is so good and as I have said before, I just think Melanie Moreland can do no wrong。 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 。。。more

A jolly good readSo absorbing。 I loved the interaction between characters and the way they made sure they made room for the older woman within their employment。 Kept a smile on my face。 I am now going backwards and ordering book one and then work upwards。

A great ending to this series of love storiesI loved all three books within this series。 They were full of great descriptions of the buildings, the cities involved, the people and sometimes very descriptive scenes when involved with the evil they encountered。 The final love story involves Julian and Tally which they certainly had there ups and downs。 I think I sympathized more with Julian than I did with Matteo or Marcus。 Read the books you'll understand they all are intriguing and exciting。 Wri A great ending to this series of love storiesI loved all three books within this series。 They were full of great descriptions of the buildings, the cities involved, the people and sometimes very descriptive scenes when involved with the evil they encountered。 The final love story involves Julian and Tally which they certainly had there ups and downs。 I think I sympathized more with Julian than I did with Matteo or Marcus。 Read the books you'll understand they all are intriguing and exciting。 Written by Cindy :) 。。。more

An amazing romance brought to life5 starsIt’s been a wee while since I’ve listened to a Melanie Moreland book and it wasn’t until the first words were spoken that I realised how much I’d missed the dreamily dulcet tones of John Lane。 I wish his voice could be my boyfriend。Anyway, this is the third book in the Men of Hidden Justice series featuring Julian Grayson - the enigmatic, Commander of the group of covert, baddie-busting elite squad the series is named for。 But, as always, fear not if An amazing romance brought to life5 starsIt’s been a wee while since I’ve listened to a Melanie Moreland book and it wasn’t until the first words were spoken that I realised how much I’d missed the dreamily dulcet tones of John Lane。 I wish his voice could be my boyfriend。Anyway, this is the third book in the Men of Hidden Justice series featuring Julian Grayson - the enigmatic, Commander of the group of covert, baddie-busting elite squad the series is named for。 But, as always, fear not if this will be your first book in the series, or even of Moreland’s at all, as this book stands completely alone, follows a new couple and you don’t need to have read, or listened to, the other books in the series to understand and enjoy this one。As I’ve mentioned, our hero is Julian。 He’s in charge, he’s a little bit aloof and he’s used to being alone。 Oh and he’s grumpy and arrogant - thinking he knows what’s best。 And from the moment he meets Taliyah - Tally - he’s obsessively smitten and desperately trying not to be。 Oh even now it makes me giddy thinking of how the mighty will fall! And as I mentioned, he is voiced by the growly voiced, John Lane。 He does such a good job of Julian。 He’s got a deep, authoritative voice that you believe every word he says。 Even when voicing a conversation between Julian and Tally - he’s clear about who’s who - making it very easy to follow。Tally is voiced by Maxine Mitchell and as Tally is the perfect match for Julian, Maxine is the perfect narrator as Tally。 Tally has a great blend of similarities with him as well as differences with Julian; She, too, is something of a loner, a kindred spirit that Julian immediately recognises。 She’s determined and a fighter and once she’s comfortable, she’s never afraid to say what’s what。 And her desire for organisation was just the cherry on the top for me。 A girl after my own heart! Maxine has something of a lower, almost gravelly voice but still in a very feminine way。 I believed her both as the scared version of Tally, and as the take no prisoners version。I loved Julian and Tally together and even though their passion was evident and hot - it gave me more smouldering vibes than burn-the-house-down ones。 That’s definitely not a problem and I did get those lovely jumpy butterflies in my tummy during their sex scenes。 In the quieter times, I really enjoyed seeing Julian become touchy-feely, loving and tactile with Tally。 It spoke to a deeper connection which I always love to see in my romances。 The real feels that I always associate with Ms Moreland’s writing。With regards to the story itself, as I’ve come to expect, Melanie Moreland delivers。 I was 100% absorbed in this tale and I loved every second。 I also have to say that I full-on laughed out loud on occasion, too。 It was unexpected but so nice to have。While there’s no overarching ‘big bad’ in this story as there was in the first two books in the series - there’s still a small element of suspense and danger。 It’s not too scary (for a card-carrying wuss like me) and it really was connected to the story and in some way affected the love story of Julian and Tally。I’m not sure if this will be the end of the Hidden Justice books but I’ve loved every single one of them for different reasons。 This book has a different angle to it what with the secret baby, capture his fleeing wife thing going on。 Even though I’ve read the book prior to listening to the audio, I was still so absorbed in the story that I listened to it in record time。 All in all, I had a great time with this book and I wouldn’t happily recommend it and give it the full 5 stars for the story, the narrators and their performance。 。。。more

The Commander by Melanie Moreland is book three in the Men of Hidden Justice series。 After reading about two of the team we now get their boss Julian Grayson。 We were left with intrigue and mystery over his wife at the end of the last book so I was looking forward to finding out what had happened。 This is an emotional story about a couple who both have secrets and the consequences they have to face when everything is revealed。 We are told this couple’s story in two parts。 We get the full backsto The Commander by Melanie Moreland is book three in the Men of Hidden Justice series。 After reading about two of the team we now get their boss Julian Grayson。 We were left with intrigue and mystery over his wife at the end of the last book so I was looking forward to finding out what had happened。 This is an emotional story about a couple who both have secrets and the consequences they have to face when everything is revealed。 We are told this couple’s story in two parts。 We get the full backstory about how they met and start a relationship, then we get the present day story。Julian is the cool and controlled organiser of several Hidden Justice teams and is still an active member on raids。 He uses the offices of Elite Security as a cover and has a secretary who helps look after his legal business。 When his current lady decides to leave, he doesn’t expect a young, beautiful, red haired woman to burst into the office wanting the very boring job。 His gut instinct is she is trouble but instead of sending her away, he finds himself offering her the job。 Taliyah (Tally) Wells needs the job to pay her bills because her weekends working at a bar are not enough。 She loves the way both her boss and the building make her feel safe and protected。 She makes herself at home in the office and quickly reorganises everything。Their attraction to each other is instant but they both fight it because it is too dangerous to have a relationship。 Tally is hiding her past from him and he is hiding his involvement with Hidden Justice。 They tease each other as they get used to working together but she is overwhelmed by him。 He is distracted by her as she affects him and he no idea why。 They are both lonely and lead quite solitary lives away from work。 One weekend everything changes for them and their love story starts。 One of the biggest thing that stood out about Julian in the previous books was his reaction each time one of his men fell in love。 He couldn’t understand how Matteo and Marcus could give up everything for their women。 Taliyah barrelled into his life and the light bulb finally went off and he finally understood why they left to protect their women。 Matteo warns Julian about keeping everything from Tally and he intends to tell her but it is taken out of his hands and he loses her。 When she unexpectedly comes back into his life, he has a second chance to make it all up to her。 However, he wasn’t the only one keeping secrets。 And what a secret it is!! They both have to find a way to forgive the other and I loved his determination to make it up to her。 We get some steamy scenes was well as the suspense and danger that comes with his work。 There are some good surprises and shocks as they reconcile。Their story is a good conclusion to this series and it’s always a fun read when an alpha male falls。 I loved we got to catch up with Matteo, Evie, Marcus and Missy。 It was also lovely to find out how well Leo was getting on and I really hope Melanie might consider giving Damien his book。 The author ties up all the loose ends and gives us a beautiful epilogue which left me with a huge smile on my face。 。。。more

I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series, but I think this one is my favorite of the 3。 There is just something about the connection between Julian & Tally that speaks to me。 He doesn't want to get involved, but he can't stay away or ignore the pull that he feels。 I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series, but I think this one is my favorite of the 3。 There is just something about the connection between Julian & Tally that speaks to me。 He doesn't want to get involved, but he can't stay away or ignore the pull that he feels。 。。。more

I really enjoyed this audiobook。 The story with a heartbreaking beginning takes us through what feels like a love of a lifetime。 This was my first John Lane listen and he adds depth the story, but Maxine Mitchell had a special way of making you feel like your right there with the couple。 Thank you for a review copy of the audiobook。
