What's not to love about Heidi's writing。 Another winner。We return to Nightingale Square and bump into many of the previous books characters。 Here are two new characters Beth and Eli。After the death of Beth's mum and having to leave university where she was studying and wanted to become a singer， Beth has removed music from her life。Eli loves music and plays it at top volume at every opportunity。 So how are these two going to vet on when they end up sharing a house？I loved returning to Nightinga What's not to love about Heidi's writing。 Another winner。We return to Nightingale Square and bump into many of the previous books characters。 Here are two new characters Beth and Eli。After the death of Beth's mum and having to leave university where she was studying and wanted to become a singer， Beth has removed music from her life。Eli loves music and plays it at top volume at every opportunity。 So how are these two going to vet on when they end up sharing a house？I loved returning to Nightingale Square and catching up with what's been happening at Prosperous Place。 It's definitely somewhere I could live。 Great community spirit。 I loved the characters in the care home that Beth works at， especially Harold。I devoured this in two sittings as it was so hard to put down。The only negative is that it is a long wait to Heidi's next book。Highly recommend。 Thanks to Netgalley and Simon and Schuster UK for the ARC in return for an honest review。 。。。more

Another brilliant read from Heidi Swain。 I love the new additions to Nightingale Square and this book is the perfect update for this gorgeous series！ This book really built the community that I have become so fond of。 It really delved into grief and how you can build back from really low points。 It was heart warming and lovely to follow how the characters grew and developed throughout the book。 I really enjoyed the different types of theme in the book， following artists from a musical background Another brilliant read from Heidi Swain。 I love the new additions to Nightingale Square and this book is the perfect update for this gorgeous series！ This book really built the community that I have become so fond of。 It really delved into grief and how you can build back from really low points。 It was heart warming and lovely to follow how the characters grew and developed throughout the book。 I really enjoyed the different types of theme in the book， following artists from a musical background was refreshing and different。 I was so interested to see how music could be used to help and heal people in all different scenarios and the look into the care home and the quirky residents was lovely and absolutely hilarious at times。Again its been an absolute treat to read another of Heidi’s books， they are an absolute tonic and I will look forward to the next and am excited to see which lovely community we visit next！ 。。。more

I received an ARC of， The Summer Fair， by Heidi Swain。 It was nice to see old friends again。 This is a lovely village。 I just did not care for Eli at all。

So brilliant to be back at Nightingale Square！I so enjoy visiting this wonderful community and it was fantastic to meet some new fabulous characters too！Beth has her issues， banning music from her life because it’s too painful to allow it in。 You really feel her emotions and are desperate for things to improve for her。 So when she has the opportunity to not only to improve her career， the chance to move away from her despicable housemates into a shared house on Nightingale Square suddenly arrive So brilliant to be back at Nightingale Square！I so enjoy visiting this wonderful community and it was fantastic to meet some new fabulous characters too！Beth has her issues， banning music from her life because it’s too painful to allow it in。 You really feel her emotions and are desperate for things to improve for her。 So when she has the opportunity to not only to improve her career， the chance to move away from her despicable housemates into a shared house on Nightingale Square suddenly arrives。 Only problem is that music and interacting in a close community also comes with the move， so will Beth regret her new life choices？ I loved the quirky， fun characters that we meet in the care home where Beth works， they add a sense of fun and it was marvellous to see how Beth grew a special community within the home。 Eli has his own issues， however he brings back music to Beth and slowly makes her start believing in herself and so she starts to allow it back into her life。 For me the themes of music and it’s importance for your mental health and as a way to express yourself was really important and something I completely could relate with。 Heartwarming and uplifting， I enjoyed every page， character and setting in this beautiful book。 。。。more

A charming story that I had to finish so lazy Sunday afternoons are perfect for curling up on the sofa and reading。 Despite having a few of Heidi’s books on my kindle， this is the first one I’ve read and I will be back。

Thanks to Simon & Schuster UK and Netgalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a review。This is part of a series of books set in Nightingale Square which I have not read in it's entirety but this book can easily be read as a standalone。 Nightingale Square sounds like a delightful place to be and community to be a part of。 This is the story of Beth who has shut herself away from her love of music and suddenly finds musical influences everywhere。 This also introduces us to the Edith Thanks to Simon & Schuster UK and Netgalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a review。This is part of a series of books set in Nightingale Square which I have not read in it's entirety but this book can easily be read as a standalone。 Nightingale Square sounds like a delightful place to be and community to be a part of。 This is the story of Beth who has shut herself away from her love of music and suddenly finds musical influences everywhere。 This also introduces us to the Edith Cavell Nursing Home - I really hope there are more books in this series because the residents of the home are delightful！ Fabulous book。 。。。more

I loved this beautiful book。 I loved being back in Nightingale Square but this time with a new character。 I loved the community feel and the romance at the heart of the book。 Every page was an utter pleasure。

Beth is a Carer at the Edith Cavel Care home。 She loves her job and all the residents in it。 But only thing in her life that is a thorn in her side is the shared home she lives in。 Her housemates are the untidiest housemates and treats Beth as their cleaner。 So， when she hears from one of the residents at the care home that there is a shared house in Nightingale Square， she can’t wait to check it out and when she is offered a place she jumps at the chance。 Not only for the lovely community that Beth is a Carer at the Edith Cavel Care home。 She loves her job and all the residents in it。 But only thing in her life that is a thorn in her side is the shared home she lives in。 Her housemates are the untidiest housemates and treats Beth as their cleaner。 So， when she hears from one of the residents at the care home that there is a shared house in Nightingale Square， she can’t wait to check it out and when she is offered a place she jumps at the chance。 Not only for the lovely community that she has been introduced too but Eli her new housemate is a neat freak， and he is not bad looking too。When she moves in， she starts getting involved in the community and a friendship with Eli。 Things are looking good in her life when also she becomes the Activities manager at the care home。 Life is sweet。 But when things from her past come to light， life seems to get complicated。The Summer fair by Heidi Swain is another heart-warming story set in Nightingale square。 This is part of a series but can easily read as a standalone。 I love this series of eclectic characters set in Nightingale square。 This is a life affirming story of a sense of community and people helping each other and doing what you love in life。 This is a great read。 5 stars from me。 。。。more

Heidi Swain has done it again！ I adored this feel good book！ Eli and Beth’s story takes us back to the gorgeous Nightingale Square and it’s lovely residents （although you don’t need to have read any of Heidi’s previous books to enjoy the story） as well as introducing us to the residents of the local care home - The Edith Cavell Care Home - and the businesses and residents of the local village。 As with all Heidi’s books， the story is warm， uplifting， romantic and full of believable characters。 Th Heidi Swain has done it again！ I adored this feel good book！ Eli and Beth’s story takes us back to the gorgeous Nightingale Square and it’s lovely residents （although you don’t need to have read any of Heidi’s previous books to enjoy the story） as well as introducing us to the residents of the local care home - The Edith Cavell Care Home - and the businesses and residents of the local village。 As with all Heidi’s books， the story is warm， uplifting， romantic and full of believable characters。 This is the perfect comfort book and I really hope that we get to meet these fabulous characters again - I can’t get enough of Prosperous House and Nightingale Square。 Highly recommended。 。。。more
