i could feel her emotions and i loved the minimalist feel of the whole book。 i admire her courage to write so openly about heavy topics and her most vulnerable thoughts。 She captured the spirit of a teenage heartbreak, hardships, pain and just life for a teenager in our world。 this book is a wonderful read overall。 But there wasn't much to take away from it。 i don't want to sound harsh, but the poems felt too basic, simple and overused。 some of the quotes were almost exactly the same as quotes o i could feel her emotions and i loved the minimalist feel of the whole book。 i admire her courage to write so openly about heavy topics and her most vulnerable thoughts。 She captured the spirit of a teenage heartbreak, hardships, pain and just life for a teenager in our world。 this book is a wonderful read overall。 But there wasn't much to take away from it。 i don't want to sound harsh, but the poems felt too basic, simple and overused。 some of the quotes were almost exactly the same as quotes on Pinterest and there was a line directly from John Green's "looking for Alaska"。 the repetition of the words and phrases was unnecessary in some cases。 But even with all this criticisms i have i enjoyed this book a lot。 i saw myself in her words and that doesn't happen often。 Poetry is for healing and i think this book is a healing journey not only for the writer, but also for the reader。 Thank you to the author for being so open with the world, it takes a lot of bravery to do that。 。。。more

Very interesting, I felt very close to the author, first because sometimes I have the same thoughts and second because these words are words anyone can understand。 The fact that it was written by a young author is making the book even more impressive。

This poetry book is incredibly powerful。 Beautiful in fact。 I took a big risk because I bought this book for $10 before I’d even read it, simply because it was written by a 17 year old and the reviews were amazing。 (Also because I couldn’t find it at any libraries)。 After Amazon dropped it off after days of eagerness and I read the first three poems, I knew immediately that it was worth my money。This book is full of relatable poems- some with only one line, others with over twenty。 The emotions This poetry book is incredibly powerful。 Beautiful in fact。 I took a big risk because I bought this book for $10 before I’d even read it, simply because it was written by a 17 year old and the reviews were amazing。 (Also because I couldn’t find it at any libraries)。 After Amazon dropped it off after days of eagerness and I read the first three poems, I knew immediately that it was worth my money。This book is full of relatable poems- some with only one line, others with over twenty。 The emotions are so strong and the way of words that Caitlin has is outstanding。I read the whole thing almost every day, finding a new poem that spoke to me each time。 It’s really a work of art that I think many teenagers will relate to and enjoy。 There is some language but overall it was a clean read and I really enjoyed it:) 。。。more
