wow。 yeahno。i’m really sorry but this book was NOT it。 the story itself could have been great if Iris wasn’t such a b*tch。 she dictated she wanted them all and they had almost no choice but say “yes”。 i really didn’t feel good reading it。 moreover it was so weird when she wanted to be kissed by the father and HIS SON。 a bit （a lot） awkward…she was so imprudent， selfish and immature。。 i don’t know how many times i sighed。

If Credence had assassins。Sadly this just didn’t work for me。 The chemistry， pacing， and emotional mood swings all felt off and I didn’t connect with any of the characters of their relationships。 Also it’s petty， but I think the name Baron Black is objectively not hot lol。I’m speeding through Sara Cate’s backlist and I’m still obsessed even if this wasn’t for me！

A little torn about this one， to be honest。 I’m gonna round up from 3。5， because the beginning of the book was so damn good。 It fizzled out a bit for me as it went on though。 I don’t want to give any spoilers， so pardon my vagueness。 At a certain point I feel that there was a distinct and sudden shift from suspense， dark， and sexy to cute， bright， but also sexy。 It felt very abrupt， in my opinion。 With that said， I definitely still enjoyed the book and will likely still read the second。

Four is the first book in a dark reverse harem series called Black Hearts。 The plot definitely surprised me， because I went into this book thinking that it was going to be one thing， but ended up being something completely different。The main character Iris has this whole dark and twisted persona behind her kind heart and I loved that。 Out of all three love interests， I have to say that Silas was my favorite。 I mean Baron and Gabriel were okay， but Silas was just on another level。 It did however Four is the first book in a dark reverse harem series called Black Hearts。 The plot definitely surprised me， because I went into this book thinking that it was going to be one thing， but ended up being something completely different。The main character Iris has this whole dark and twisted persona behind her kind heart and I loved that。 Out of all three love interests， I have to say that Silas was my favorite。 I mean Baron and Gabriel were okay， but Silas was just on another level。 It did however bother me that the main character is so young。 I know that she witnessed her father's death， but I feel like her being only eighteen made me feel a bit uncomfortable when it was mentioned。 That is why I imagined her a bit older in my head while reading。 Overall， this book is worth reading。 If you like reverse harem and a dark main character， who will stand up for herself when she needs to， then you should give this series a chance。 。。。more

Aside from the fact that there were times when l felt like the characters acted out of character or contradicted themselves， I thought this book was a good read overall。 I loved each dynamic the characters had with each other and their character developments。 This book was dark， and while I wouldn’t say it was the darkest romance I’ve read， I still enjoyed the dark elements that were incorporated。 Although， I wish their pasts were touched upon more。 There was so much to unload about their pasts Aside from the fact that there were times when l felt like the characters acted out of character or contradicted themselves， I thought this book was a good read overall。 I loved each dynamic the characters had with each other and their character developments。 This book was dark， and while I wouldn’t say it was the darkest romance I’ve read， I still enjoyed the dark elements that were incorporated。 Although， I wish their pasts were touched upon more。 There was so much to unload about their pasts in regards to the Blacks’ backstory and Iris’ mother， but it felt like it was all crammed in to fit near the end with not nearly as much information on the backstory as I would have liked to have gotten。 There was enough information given to tie in loose ends， but I just wish there was more discussion and insight about it。 I also wish the heroine and her harem had more intimate scenes together。 They didn’t have any scenes like that together until the very end。 It made sense why it was towards the end given how the characters are， but it felt personally unfulfilling。 I guess this is where the second book comes in， or at least I hope so。 。。。more
