Summary
This treasured historical satire， played out in two very different socioeconomic worlds of 16th-century England， centers around the lives of two boys born in London on the same day: Edward， Prince of Wales and Tom Canty， a street beggar。 During a chance encounter， the two realize they are identical and， as a lark， decide to exchange clothes and roles--a situation that briefly， but drastically， alters the lives of both youngsters。 The Prince， dressed in rags， wanders about the city's boisterous neighborhoods among the lower classes and endures a series of hardships; meanwhile， poor Tom， now living with the royals， is constantly filled with the dread of being discovered for who and what he really is。

Lo que me gustó de este libro es que toma personajes reales de la corona inglesa， y se posiciona bajo el reinado de una de los reyes más polémicos de todos los tiempos。。。 Enrique VIII。 Pero en esta historia el protagonista es su hijo y heredero al trono inglés。 La trama es excelente y va al grano， retrata de forma excepcional la brecha entre clases de la época。 Invita a la reflexión， y sin dudas， entretiene leer las andanzas de estos dos niños que cambian de lugar。 Este libro lo tengo desde la i Lo que me gustó de este libro es que toma personajes reales de la corona inglesa， y se posiciona bajo el reinado de una de los reyes más polémicos de todos los tiempos。。。 Enrique VIII。 Pero en esta historia el protagonista es su hijo y heredero al trono inglés。 La trama es excelente y va al grano， retrata de forma excepcional la brecha entre clases de la época。 Invita a la reflexión， y sin dudas， entretiene leer las andanzas de estos dos niños que cambian de lugar。 Este libro lo tengo desde la infancia y sentí que era el momento de leerlo， ya que habia leido otras novelas históricas sobre el reinado de Enrique VIII y la historia se me hace muy familiar， por lo tanto pude seguir perfectamente el hilo。 Sin dudas un buen libro para los amantes de las historias de la corona y de aquella época en particular。 。。。more

3。5 🌟Es la historia que hemos visto adaptada en películas， series y demás; por tanto me hacía ilusión conocer la historia de Mark Twain。 Debo decir que me gustó mucho， sólo se me hacía difícil por la forma en que estaba escrito y que a veces lo sentía lento; pero me gustó el final。 Me sorprende saber lo cruel que podía ser en ocasiones y me alegra saber que en la actualidad las cosas han cambiado 🥺

The Prince and The Pauper， Mark Twains first attempt at historical fiction， but it’s more realistic fiction。 Although， I loved seeing Prince Edward turned King in this and how what he thought was his brilliant idea turned out not to be true， and realizing he will have to prove himself， if he wants to believe。 I don’t get why the people would believe the Tom Canty was automatically Prince Edward， couldn’t they just asked those questions at the end of the story， when he was claiming not to be King The Prince and The Pauper， Mark Twains first attempt at historical fiction， but it’s more realistic fiction。 Although， I loved seeing Prince Edward turned King in this and how what he thought was his brilliant idea turned out not to be true， and realizing he will have to prove himself， if he wants to believe。 I don’t get why the people would believe the Tom Canty was automatically Prince Edward， couldn’t they just asked those questions at the end of the story， when he was claiming not to be King or the guard to at the front gate。 I don’t think people in that time would automatically assume that statement as mad。 。。。more

چقدر جذاب بود دوست داشتم طولانی‌تر باشهچه حس خوبی داشت داستانش خیال میکردم رفتم به چند سال پیش که هیچ مشغله و مساله‌ای ندارم و فقط باید ماجرای این داستان رو دنبال کنم تا به سرانجام برسههر چند کتاب در میون به همچین کتاب شیرینی که میرسم لذت کتاب های قبل و بعدش بیشتر میشه انگار :）

أختي صاحبة ال9 سنوات عرضت علي أن أقرأ لها هذه الرواية و الغريب أنني استمتعت بها أكثر منها！ طبعا كنت أحاول أن أشرح لها المغزى من الرواية وأنها ليست فقط عن غني و فقير يتبادلان الأدوار ،و لكنها قررت هذا التعليق عن القصة و سأكتبه على كل حال لأن الرواية في النهاية كانت من إقتراحها:حياة الآخرين ليست دائما بالمتعة و السعادة التي قد نتصورها。علينا أن نجرب أكثر لنفهم أكثر ،فلا تستطيع تغيير مالا تراه خاطئا أساسا！لا بأس ببعض التغيير في الحياة ربما ستكون فرصة لنا لرؤية أفضل حتى و إن كان صعبا و مؤلما أحيانا。
