This book served as a reminder of how short this life is, and how can we make the best of it, by being closer to God and be a reflection of God’s values to ourselves and others。It is beautifully written and contains prayers and practices that we can act upon。

This book is recommended if you want to understand 5 pillars of Islam, reminding you always return to Him when in trouble and we are urged to seek for His love。 I love when it related to science and including verses from Quran。 Enjoy reading this book which it was my first time to finish 600 pages。

Reminder to research authors' credibility before purchasing an Islamic book and not only buying a book because it's popular。I can't read this anymore, put it down after 2 chapters。 So many lies and false claims。 Sad that I spent 20$ on such a book。 The author is NOT a person of knowledge and should not be writing Islamic books at all。 It seems like she continuously alters Islam and the Islamic perception of Allah سبحانه و تعالى for the approval and acceptance of the disbelievers。2 of the many in Reminder to research authors' credibility before purchasing an Islamic book and not only buying a book because it's popular。I can't read this anymore, put it down after 2 chapters。 So many lies and false claims。 Sad that I spent 20$ on such a book。 The author is NOT a person of knowledge and should not be writing Islamic books at all。 It seems like she continuously alters Islam and the Islamic perception of Allah سبحانه و تعالى for the approval and acceptance of the disbelievers。2 of the many instances of this:1。 The author says, "God is love。" Astagfirullah??? God is not love。 Why are you so comfortable making false claims about Allah سبحانه و تعالى。 God is not an emotion, He is Greater than everything we know。 I was shocked when I read this, I'm a new revert and even I know that this is totally wrong Authubillah。 2。 She also says things such as, "God loves everyone。" Which is Islamically false。 We know from the Quran that there are people Allah سبحانه و تعالى does not love。 Again, trying to make non-Muslims like Islam using sayings that go against the own words of Allah سبحانه و تعالى。 Let me give a couple examples:2:90 Allah does not like those who transgress。6:141 But waste not by excess: for Allah loves not the wasters (Al-Musrifun (those who waste by extravagance))。16:23 verily He loves not the arrogant (proud)。31:18 for Allah loves not any arrogant boaster。3:57 but God loves not those who do wrong (Zalimun (oppressors, polytheists and wrong doers))。Anyways, you get the point。 There are tons of ayahs like these in the Quran describing the types of people God does not love。 Clearly, Allah does NOT love everyone。 And if you are a Muslim who believes in the Quran, you cannot say such things that very obviously go against it。These are only TWO examples。 There are seriously a bunch more even though I stopped reading, and you may read other negative reviews for more。Honorable mention, might be a personal opinion but I've seen others mention it: I hate the language used in this book。 No wonder it's so thick, there are so many unnecessary words that genuinely makes you cringe。 Author doesn't get the point across, just seems to use eloquent language to try to beautify Islam for non-Muslims。Stop spreading misinformation about Islam and inventing your own facts about God for other people's approval。 You can't change Islam, it is already perfect。THIS IS NOT ISLAM。 For the sake of Allah, I ask the author to repent and to get rid of this book。 Inventing lies about Allah سبحانه و تعالى is a great sin。 16:116 Indeed, those who invent falsehood about Allah will not succeed。11:18 And who is more unjust than he who invents a lie about Allah ?10:69 Say, "Indeed, those who invent falsehood about Allah will not succeed。"May Allah guide us all and keep us steadfast, allow us to be students of knowledge that we may follow the Quran and Sunnah accordingly, and may He swt save us from spreading misguidance。 。。。more

to be merciful to other humans;to compete with each other in good deeds; overcome the devil and hopelessness; that hurts are to show our innate strength ;to forgive and to repent;that there is a inexus between sin and restlessness amongst others。The writer also guides the reader towards understanding the teachings of the Prophet ,Peace be Upon him and the Qur'an。The writer enjoins the reader to find solace in the names of Allah knowing we are not God but God's representatives on earth。 The writer looks at Sanskrit;Hindu; Bhudaism; Arabic ;the Bible and largely Islam with quotes from poets, artists and the Qur'an。The author discusses Secrets of divine love as God causing us to experience his loving grace;with ability to know yourself and to know God;to love God and worship him with your whole heart all because we matter and the Road to Islam as receiving the love of AllahLESSONS LEARNT FROM THE BOOK READ:-📞Leaders can learn from the Prophet ,Peace be Upon him and the last few years of his life wherein he protected the Muslim borders from invasion and formed peaceful alliance with the different warring tribes of Arabia especially in this era of many invasions。📞The Prophets honesty and unique ability to find peaceful resolution to conflict that faced his community is one virtue that can be emulated by leaders and society generally。📞To worship God out of love and gratitude and not just for a reward or fear of punishment for a transformation of our entire being。📞Mercy is not that we can sin and passively ask for forgiveness but a reminder that we are redeemable when we sincerely turn back to God。📞Prophet Muhammad's, Peace be upon him, return to Mecca and his peacefully taking over the city in an act of mercy while forgiving all those that spent many years abusing him and his followers shows the kind of person the Prophet is and the tenets of Islam as a way of life preaching peace。📞Repeated sinning without repentance can prevent us from seeing God。📞Faith is a natural devotion to the religion and not setting aside rationality。📞Fight in God's cause those who fight against you but not to overstep the limits as God does not love those who overstep the limit as Jihad is not the destination but the process towards establishing peace where there is injustice and the suppression of freedom Qur'an 2:190。📞Islam enjoins combatants not to kill women;worshippers;the sick; the elderly;children;non combatants or civilians;not to destroy towns;cut down trees or use fire to destroy the land; not to use bombs but to protect the earth and the innocent from being collateral damage;not to be harsh on non Muslims minority or curtail their rights(Qur'an 8:61,Qur'an 60:8,Qur'an 5:32)📞To put oneself in the shoes of the characters in the Qur'an while reading。📞Praying is for us as God does not need us to pray for him:it is to protect our own souls。📞Not to judge the ones we are asked to give to whether rich, prostitute or thief as God has a purpose of guiding us to give。📞Give from money earned in religiously permissible way。📞To live a life of good deeds as good deeds are what goes with us to the grave。📞When we love without expectation, calculations and negotiation we are in heaven and when we fight and hate,we are in hell。📞We are not created to find God but to remember and return to intimate relations with God by leaving the path of forgetfulness of the fact that God is always with us📞Prophet Muhammad, Peace be Upon him ,being enjoined to read by the angel in Quran 96:1-5 tells of the importance of reading and Education as God himself teaches through the pen。📞Heaven is a destination for all human beings while hell is seen as the realm for those who began as humans but rejected their true humanity through living the life of hatred, selfishness and separation。APPLICATION OF LESSONS LEARNT:-Reading the book as one who wanted to garner knowledge on the Islamic way of life , I saw a liberal way of life that teaches Mercy and Justice as its tenets knowing Allah is merciful but is also a just one who tempers justice with mercy。 Being representatives of Allah, to my mind the faithful can apply these tenets by being merciful and just。 In application in our world ,the book to my mind explains the need to be conscious rather than adopting the path of error by being arrogant without right。 This tells us that there is the arrogance that is of right and that without right and enjoins on the one to abstain fromThe book was a great read for me as I saw similarities between the various religious ways of life and the awakening to love God in whatever path chosen。 。。。more

This book was a colossal slog, not something I would have EVER picked up for myself and full of superstitious nonsense that I 100% do not believe。 And yet I found myself underlining and tabbing page after page。 In the context of observant Islam, it is deeply spiritual and written like poetry。 I feel that I took away good information about a religion I knew nothing about, and was enriched in the process。 I plan to go through and reread my tabs before shelving this book。

This book is great for anyone who needs a pick me up, revisiting Islam or maybe exploring it for the first time。 It isn't a book on jurisprudence or academic in any way。 It just speaks to you instead on a human level。 If reading books of this size feels intimidating or overwhelming, this is one you can take at your own pace。 I read it ever so slowly over months and each time I got the lift that I needed, without having to scratch my head and recall what I had read previously。 The content is brok This book is great for anyone who needs a pick me up, revisiting Islam or maybe exploring it for the first time。 It isn't a book on jurisprudence or academic in any way。 It just speaks to you instead on a human level。 If reading books of this size feels intimidating or overwhelming, this is one you can take at your own pace。 I read it ever so slowly over months and each time I got the lift that I needed, without having to scratch my head and recall what I had read previously。 The content is broken up well and carries meaning as stand alone parts if you don't read fast :) 。。。more

A phenomenal book。 A must read, really brings all these Islamic concepts of worship, love, hardships, life, death etc。 into an easy to read, poetically written book for the modern day Muslim。 Alhamdhulilaah for this book, may Allah swt reward its author for having written a literal masterpiece。

For me personally, I did feel as the book dragged a bit。 But I think that is down to me not reading for years and this was the first book which I picked up! The quotes are amazing, and very informative。However, I personally did not feel as though I achieved which I set out to do, which was to get somewhat closer to my religion/god。 That all being said, it is a good book and others may find it to be more useful than I personally did。
