LOVE。 Loved all the characters with all my heart。 I wanted to be their friend so badd。 You will fall in love with them。 Also， just very interesting what they were trying to do。 Kaz and inej and their dynamic is everything。 I think the characters are the best part tbh。 Their backstories are so sad and yet so awesome。 I would recommend to read shadow and bone first though， just to understand the world。 LOVE LEIGH BARDUGO。

4。5 StarsI've owned this beloved duology for 6 years now and I admit I am a victim of the hype and unfortunately， quickly fell out of love with fantasy after purchasing the books。 However， the upcoming book to tv adaptation was apparently the pressure I needed to get over myself and just read it。 I'm so glad to have finally read it！ It took me quite a while to get into the beginning of the story。 The first few chapters was very confusing and doesn't do many favours to help ground the reader in e 4。5 StarsI've owned this beloved duology for 6 years now and I admit I am a victim of the hype and unfortunately， quickly fell out of love with fantasy after purchasing the books。 However， the upcoming book to tv adaptation was apparently the pressure I needed to get over myself and just read it。 I'm so glad to have finally read it！ It took me quite a while to get into the beginning of the story。 The first few chapters was very confusing and doesn't do many favours to help ground the reader in establishing the characters， plot and setting， especially for someone who didn't read the Shadow and Bone books （I know they're not that connected， but they exist in the same universe）。 However， once I got a grasp of the characters and plot I was hooked！ I started to take notes in my phone but quickly got too caught up in the story to be able to pause to write out my thoughts， so I don't have much of a review other than that I loved this story。Though this book is well loved， I didn't know much besides the fact that it revolves around a heist and a handful of the characters names。 I guess I was a little surprised at what the actual heist was， but maybe it just lines up better coming after Shadow and Bone （？）It was so easy to root for everyone， but I also loved that Kaz is always so full of surprises because it surprises the reader as much as the rest of the crew。 There was lots of great twists and turns that left me gasping。 I also loved the seamless flashbacks throughout that helped build up the characters。I really appreciate a fantasy that balances plot and characters because I will always care more about the characters and Leigh Bardugo delivered。 I fell in love with the cast and Leigh does a fantastic job of twisting some of the usual tropes in YA fiction， creating some incredibly interesting relationships between the dregs and Kaz's crew。 The characters all have really strong character motivations， each with their own unique histories and backgrounds。 Enemies to lovers is a super popular trope now in a really cliche and tropey way， but personally I don't think there's anything better than Nina tailoring Matthias and wanting to kiss him while simultaneously wondering if he's thinking about strangling her。 I also live for bloody and ruthless boys who put up every form of a wall in their lives but are secretly soft inside *cough* Kaz Brekker。 This is the perfect ragtag group of misfits that everyone talks about。It did take me two weeks to get through this since I read the first few chapters really slowly， so it seems weird now to say I wish I had taken more time with it， because I wish I had done some underlining and kept track of my favourite quotes。。。 now I already want to read it again！ 。。。more

Wow！ What a fast paced， action packed YA fantasy！ This one has been on my shelf forever， and while I was always drawn to it from the beautiful cover， a buddy read is what finally got me to delve in！ Six of Crows follows six characters， on their way to complete a seemingly impossible heist in order get a LARGE sum of money。Each of the six characters have their own talents and backstory， which I loved getting to read about。 I have said it before and I'll say it again， I am obsessed with books that Wow！ What a fast paced， action packed YA fantasy！ This one has been on my shelf forever， and while I was always drawn to it from the beautiful cover， a buddy read is what finally got me to delve in！ Six of Crows follows six characters， on their way to complete a seemingly impossible heist in order get a LARGE sum of money。Each of the six characters have their own talents and backstory， which I loved getting to read about。 I have said it before and I'll say it again， I am obsessed with books that change POVs from chapter to chapter， and this book did just that。 Bardugo seamlessly switched from multiple viewpoints and timelines， which really enhanced the story for me。 Bonus- there was enough action， with a hint of romance， to keep my attention throughout this 450+ book。 As a not frequent reader of fantasy， I was weary of the Grisha world and not understanding it， but luckily that was not the case for me。 Each character is so dynamic and vulnerable in their own way。 I absolutely cannot wait to continue on to the sequel and further immerse myself in this fictional world！ 。。。more
