Summary

Super serious Asahi Suzumura and laidback, easygoing Mitsuki Sayama might seem like an odd couple, but they made a deal; they'll vacation around the world and when they get back to Japan, they'll get married。

As they travel from country to country, the different people, cultures and cuisine they encounter begin to bring them closer together。 After all they're not just learning about the world, but about themselves too。

I love this volume so much because it shows both Asahi and Mitsuki’s weaker sides and flaws and how despite all of that, at the end of the day, they still choose to be with each other and wouldn't have it any other way。I cannot stress enough how amazing the art is in this graphic novel; the attention to detail is amazing。 While I can’t comment on the authenticity or legitimacy of the culture presented in the graphic novel, I believe the author did a great job representing the countries they visi I love this volume so much because it shows both Asahi and Mitsuki’s weaker sides and flaws and how despite all of that, at the end of the day, they still choose to be with each other and wouldn't have it any other way。I cannot stress enough how amazing the art is in this graphic novel; the attention to detail is amazing。 While I can’t comment on the authenticity or legitimacy of the culture presented in the graphic novel, I believe the author did a great job representing the countries they visited in a good light。 。。。more

3,5 stars? 4? Something like that。 I think I liked this more than the first volume (and not just because they visit Finland in this one :D) but I still have a bit of a trouble with the art style。 Sometimes it's okay and sometimes the huge mouths bother me。。。Asahi and Mitsuki's relationship is slowly developing and it feels nicely organic。 They have amazing luck to meet all these lgbtq+ people on their travels though。 :D But it's nice that it gives them, especially Asahi, food for thought and mir 3,5 stars? 4? Thank you Netgalley for the eARC! So I remember I had some mixed feelings about this manga in Vol。 1, but I’m glad I kept reading this series because this volume was so much better。 Characters were more established and Mitsuki and Asahi’s relationship was more solid and loveable。 They still have their moments worrying about each other and trying to protect the other from their personal pain, but they are just so much more loveable in this volume。 The adventures they go on were so fun to read abo Thank you Netgalley for the eARC! (I got a copy of this volume @ Netgalley!)Volume 2 was just as good as the first one, so it was really pleasant to read more of Mitsuki and Asahi's trip around the world。 This volume includes Germany, France and Italy, and the art is still just as beautiful (enough to make me try all the new dishes introduced in each place they visit lol)There's a bit more about their past (before the trip started) and a bit more about each of their families, as well as some development of their relationship。 I' (I got a copy of this volume @ Netgalley!)Volume 2 was just as good as the first one, so it was really pleasant to read more of Mitsuki and Asahi's trip around the world。 This volume includes Germany, France and Italy, and the art is still just as beautiful (enough to make me try all the new dishes introduced in each place they visit lol)There's a bit more about their past (before the trip started) and a bit more about each of their families, as well as some development of their relationship。 I'm very glad they keep meeting nice people that give them their full support instead of creating unecessary drama。 It's refreshing to read something like this, with so much depth and care put into, and I'll probably continue to read it, and whatever else Mone Sorai publishes。 。。。more

It deftly combines the joys and trials of travel with Asahi and Mitsuki's relationship ups and downs。 During these past couple years when travel - especially international travel - has been put on hold, reading Asahi and Mitsuki's travel adventures brought me so much joy and made me think fondly of past trips and dream of new places to visit。 In each country they visit, the couple faces new challenges (finding their way around, avoiding scammers, health issues, communication, etc) but they also find kindness and true friendships with strangers。 Each new connection they make also provides more conversations about their relationship。 As Asahi struggles with being open about his sexuality and relationship with Mitsuki, these strangers - many of whom are also queer - encourage him and offer him advice。 Mitsuki, the embodiment of sunshine, is a good buffer to Asahi's pessimism and constant worrying。 He's deeply in love with Asahi, and does his best to respect Asahi's boundaries about not being out, though he's hopeful that their journey together will make Asahi feel more comfortable and proud of who he is。 The art is gorgeous, the characters are so real and relatable, and the glimpses into the culture, food, and history of the various countries has me eager to dust off my passport! Highly recommend! 。。。more

The relationship between Asahi and Mitsuki is put to the test as they travel around the world。 Can their affection for one another stand the test of time? We have to keep reading to find out。 I’m enjoying this story so far。 The relationship depicted between Asahi and Mitsuki feels firmly rooted in reality, even if their whirlwind adventure is a little too good to be true。 Mitsuki is a character who seems sure of himself; he knows who he is and knows what he wants but maybe a little naive。 Asahi The relationship between Asahi and Mitsuki is put to the test as they travel around the world。 Can their affection for one another stand the test of time? I received "Our Not-So-Lonely-Planet Travel Guide Vol。2" from Netgalley for reviewmaybe mild spoilers?***I haven’t read a lot of manga, but I really enjoyed “Our Not-So-Lonely-Planet Travel Guide”。 I even went and looked for volume one to read first。 As for volume two, I loved reading about Mitsuki and Asahi traveling through Germany, France, and Italy together。 The main goal of their worldly travels seems to be a test of their relationship and a test of their love。 When they get back to Japan a I received "Our Not-So-Lonely-Planet Travel Guide Vol。2" from Netgalley for reviewmaybe mild spoilers?***I haven’t read a lot of manga, but I really enjoyed “Our Not-So-Lonely-Planet Travel Guide”。 I even went and looked for volume one to read first。 As for volume two, I loved reading about Mitsuki and Asahi traveling through Germany, France, and Italy together。 The main goal of their worldly travels seems to be a test of their relationship and a test of their love。 When they get back to Japan after traveling the world, Mitsuki wants to get married。 I love the grumpy/sunshine trope, and this manga definitely has it。 Mitsuki is a ball of sunshine, or as Asahi would say, he has a “happy go lucky” attitude, and Asahi is very serious and a ball of constant nerves。 Mitsuki seems much more comfortable in who he is and in their relationship than Asahi does in Vol。 1, and in most of Vol。 2, but it’s clear that fear of rejection and potentially some internalized homophobia is really making Asahi afraid of expressing how much he loves and cares about Mitsuki。 It was really refreshing to see Asahi open up to Mitsuki’s grandma while they are in Italy and understand more of where he is coming from in his fear of being open and proud about his relationship with Mitsuki。 While they do seem to bicker quite a lot, and the sexual and romantic tension between them isn’t over the top because of Asahi’s fears, it’s clear how much these men care about each other。 I can’t wait for Vol。 3 to find out how the rest of their trip goes and if they end up staying together and getting married when they get back to Japan。
