Thoughts coming in a couple weeks in Otaku in Review podcast Episode 203。 :D

I felt like this title could have been comfortably finished after however many volumes fit into 2 omnibus volumes。 This third omnibus felt like the story was starting to drag， there's only so many of the same jokes you can fit into a story before they become repetitive， and I was getting annoyed with the short-bit characters being introduced。 I did appreciate what they did with Titan， but that was about it。 That being said I do understand this is a parody title so it's job is to riff on popular I felt like this title could have been comfortably finished after however many volumes fit into 2 omnibus volumes。 This third omnibus felt like the story was starting to drag， there's only so many of the same jokes you can fit into a story before they become repetitive， and I was getting annoyed with the short-bit characters being introduced。 I did appreciate what they did with Titan， but that was about it。 That being said I do understand this is a parody title so it's job is to riff on popular tropes and cliches， but meh。 I still felt bored by the end; I just wanted it to end。 Which is unfortunate because I enjoyed the first two omnibus volumes。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I was a fan of Dragon Half like。。。 a lifetime ago （when the OVAs came out！） because they were slapstick funny （I was also a Slayers fan for the same reason）， so I absolutely did not mind buying these volumes， like， 20+ years later。 They haven't aged very well， or perhaps I just grew out of the age bracket to enjoy these （I really don't know！）。 Definitely norms have changed a lot since then。 Still， a pretty nostalgic time capsule of a series。 I was a fan of Dragon Half like。。。 a lifetime ago （when the OVAs came out！） because they were slapstick funny （I was also a Slayers fan for the same reason）， so I absolutely did not mind buying these volumes， like， 20+ years later。 They haven't aged very well， or perhaps I just grew out of the age bracket to enjoy these （I really don't know！）。 Definitely norms have changed a lot since then。 Still， a pretty nostalgic time capsule of a series。 。。。more

Azetodeth has comes out to play and he will murder ya so hard it will have to be called super murder。In the final volume of Dragon Half it is time for Mink and her friends to take on Azetodeth and his minions once and for all as our heroes make their way to Azetodeth's stronghold。 In this volume we get the results of the compatibility questions inside the covers of volume 1 and 2， a peek into Dick Saucer's past which motivates his quest， a traitor reveled， love exposed， sacrifices made， and a lo Azetodeth has comes out to play and he will murder ya so hard it will have to be called super murder。In the final volume of Dragon Half it is time for Mink and her friends to take on Azetodeth and his minions once and for all as our heroes make their way to Azetodeth's stronghold。 In this volume we get the results of the compatibility questions inside the covers of volume 1 and 2， a peek into Dick Saucer's past which motivates his quest， a traitor reveled， love exposed， sacrifices made， and a look into the future after everything is done with the main story （no spoilers though so go ahead and read to see what happens。） :）Those that have read the first two volumes know that sometimes the humor can be a bit on the immature side but as a self proclaimed gag manga I find the humor in volume three works better as the dramatic final battle is imminent and the conflict between humor and drama emerges making the jokes all the more charming with the exception of a few clear misses。My favorite part is probably the big reveal of Mink's 2nd shedding though the fate of the Pido potion is probably a close second。 :） 。。。more
