A great finale to an extremely sweet manga。 The character growth throughout the series has been amazing to watch, but in the bonus chapters Amagakure really got to me。 Seeing Tsumugi growing into a young adult as her father looks on with pride tugged at my heart strings。 I also appreciated that we saw how all of our young people grew up, what they went into for careers, and that Kotori and Tsumugi stayed close throughout the years。 I'm so upset that the series is over but very glad with where we A great finale to an extremely sweet manga。 The character growth throughout the series has been amazing to watch, but in the bonus chapters Amagakure really got to me。 Seeing Tsumugi growing into a young adult as her father looks on with pride tugged at my heart strings。 I also appreciated that we saw how all of our young people grew up, what they went into for careers, and that Kotori and Tsumugi stayed close throughout the years。 I'm so upset that the series is over but very glad with where we ended up。 Will definitely be re-reading in the future。 。。。more

So for this volume itself only the first two chapters followed after the previous volumes, and even then, the very last chapter (so the second chapter in this volume) jumped ahead in years a bit。 It was a really nice ending though and the series could have quite easily ended there, but we got bonus chapters too, all three of which were great, but I especially loved the final chapter of the volume, plus the tiny epilogue where Tsumugi is now preparing to go to college。 I just love the way the sto So for this volume itself only the first two chapters followed after the previous volumes, and even then, the very last chapter (so the second chapter in this volume) jumped ahead in years a bit。 It was a really nice ending though and the series could have quite easily ended there, but we got bonus chapters too, all three of which were great, but I especially loved the final chapter of the volume, plus the tiny epilogue where Tsumugi is now preparing to go to college。 I just love the way the story/series got wrapped up, but was left open-ended to a degree。 There is the fact that through the series it has seemed like Kotori has liked Kohei, but it never was expressed to Kohei by Kotori and it never seemed to change how they acted with each other or with Tsumugi。 It was a lovely series as a whole, I loved the inclusion of recipes at the end of each chapter。 I think this is a series I would possibly reread。 。。。more

I absolutely loved this series! It reminds me of Yotsuba&! except more focused towards food。 The character development was absolutely amazing and I'm glad there wasn't any unnecessary drama。 Such a sweet and touching series that I would recommend to anyone!

I couldn't make it home for Christmas。 That left me in a sort of lurch where I needed something light and pleasant。 I binge read this entire series, all twelve volumes in two days, and it was fantastic。 Sweet and without overt romance。 Plus a bunch of pretty recipes to follow too! Excellent characters and everyone grows very organically。 It would have been even nicer to have to continue。 I couldn't make it home for Christmas。 That left me in a sort of lurch where I needed something light and pleasant。 I binge read this entire series, all twelve volumes in two days, and it was fantastic。 Sweet and without overt romance。 Plus a bunch of pretty recipes to follow too! A cut story about a single father and his little daughter and how they find balance in their lives through the (food and) relationships they build around themselves。

Izza

Moving A fantastic story。 I never wanted it to end。 With lovable characters and moving story telling。 I will continue to hope that there will be a bonus story。

To be honest I didn't really expect much when starting this series。 The fact that it was all food, that most of the problems were solved by cooking and it went into such detail on all of the recipes was strange, tedious but also slightly interesting。With that being said I began finding myself wanting to read more and see how the lives of Kohei and Tsumugi developed and how Kotori would tie into their lives。Before I even knew it I also ended up becoming emotionally invested in the possible buddin To be honest I didn't really expect much when starting this series。 The fact that it was all food, that most of the problems were solved by cooking and it went into such detail on all of the recipes was strange, tedious but also slightly interesting。With that being said I began finding myself wanting to read more and see how the lives of Kohei and Tsumugi developed and how Kotori would tie into their lives。Before I even knew it I also ended up becoming emotionally invested in the possible budding (romantic) relationship between Kohei and Kotori。 I played witness to Tsumugi' s emotional, physical and mental growth as well as Kohei' s development from a grief stricken confused suddenly widowed single parent to a genuine, caring and mature Father。*Spoilers ahead*I must admit that I really wasn't expecting such a big time skip。。。 I wasn't ready for college bound Tsumugi!!!!But。。。 It wasn't that bad。It was。。。 nice。Very sweet。The only reason why I'm giving this series four stars out of five is because there was A BIG unresolved issue for me:Kotori and Kohei。What。 Is。 Up?Are they? Aren't they? Why not give a clear ending?????!!!!I need some sort of closure!!!Although to be fair it can be implied that they in fact are。。。Anyways a very sweet, very simple and very nice slice of life series。 。。。more

When Tsumugi tried making bread porridge。The group recipe book。Baby Tsumugi。“Num nums。”Yagi drank so much whiskey he threw up blood。When Tsumugi got sad over Kotori leaving。Oh Tsumugi and her fried chicken。“Thank you for making me a father。” Instant tears

I tried to pace my self cause this was the final volume but it was so good I ended up reading it in one sitting。 It was a good conclusion to the series but ill miss the fluffy tone this manga had。 The extra chapters made this volume amazing :3

What a beautiful way to end such a lovely series! There is so much about this ending that I am madly in love with! Mostly, grown up Tsumugi! My gorgeous girl is all grown! I can't believe it! All the kids are growing up and I'm having war flashbacks。 But, oh my gosh, this is sooo cute! It wraps up the main story fairly quickly then zooms through some extra chapters to flesh out some adorable and heartfelt moments。 Like when Kohei couldn't decide what to name his daughter。 Or Tsumugi going off to college。。。 Darn it, don't cry!Overall, I give this series a 4。5/5。 It's cute, adorable, the characters are genuine, as well as the emotions and lessons behind it all。 Plus, there's a lot of c All the kids are growing up and I'm having war flashbacks。 But, oh my gosh, this is sooo cute! 4。5 stars。 I enjoyed the extra chapters a lot more than the official final two, and wished it would have been ordered differently。 That said, I loved this series and all its characters, the ending felt appropriate to the progression of the series, and I did cry。 Definitely recommend。
