Plumb the Depths of the Bible!PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW ON MY BLOG: http://bookreadingtic。com/2020/10/21/。。。 THANK YOU!Getting the 2020 edition of the NIV (New International Version) Study Bible, fully revised, will give you the most comprehensive and up-to-date full Biblical text。 This contains the fifth and most complete revision, along with an in-depth NIV concordance。 This Bible is overflowing with many items to examine the scriptures as thoroughly as wanted。 New or updated notes based on the Plumb the Depths of the Bible!PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW ON MY BLOG: http://bookreadingtic。com/2020/10/21/。。。 THANK YOU!Getting the 2020 edition of the NIV (New International Version) Study Bible, fully revised, will give you the most comprehensive and up-to-date full Biblical text。 This contains the fifth and most complete revision, along with an in-depth NIV concordance。 This Bible is overflowing with many items to examine the scriptures as thoroughly as wanted。 New or updated notes based on the latest discoveries have been added, along with over one hundred new articles。 There are fourteen full-color maps with a map index。 A cross reference system appears in a center column of the text which can be used to study concepts or specific words。 Three symbols have been used to highlight types of materials: the trowel, for notes discovered from archaeology; the seedling, for notes that have personal application; and the character, for notes that contain descriptions or characterizations of individuals or people groups。This Bible contains a treasury of features such as the words of Jesus in red, each of the sixty-six books contains an introduction page which attempts to answer the five W’s—the who, what, where, when and why questions about each account。 Lots of eye appeal comes from the many pictures and the generous use of color sprinkled throughout the pages。I enjoyed the large 10。5-point font size in this volume, but it is also available in 7。5 and 9-point fonts。 This is a substantial volume which has 2,512 pages, and weighs in at 5。2 pounds。 This Bible contains so many things, I could not list them all。 I recommend this five-star Bible to everyone who wants an exhaustive and in-depth Biblical study。Bible Gateway Blogger Grid has provided Tickmenot–as a member of #BibleGatewayPartner–with a complimentary copy of, The NIV Study Bible Fully Revised, for the purpose of review。 。。。more

This is an amazing Bible that is so full of information! I found myself reading endlessly as it opened so much up through the wonderful study notes and color pictures。 I love the color pictures and colored maps throughout! It helps to have deeper explanation and understanding of the area where these things are taking place and about the people。One thing I found myself doing was reading through the biographical information that is in this Bible。 Job is one of my favorite books of the Bible and it This is an amazing Bible that is so full of information! I found myself reading endlessly as it opened so much up through the wonderful study notes and color pictures。 I love the color pictures and colored maps throughout! It helps to have deeper explanation and understanding of the area where these things are taking place and about the people。One thing I found myself doing was reading through the biographical information that is in this Bible。 Job is one of my favorite books of the Bible and it explains what the book of Job is about but then went into who Job was as a man。 I thought this was so interesting and gave me a more rounder understanding of who he was and the times he lived in。 There is a lot of information like this throughout。I love the heavier paper that is in this Bible and the comfort print text。 It makes it so much easier to read! Even the study notes, which are a bit smaller, are easier to read。 The only con to this Bible is that it's quite heavy。 I am using it on my desk where I study so it stays in one place, however, to carry it around would definitely be difficult for me。 If you want a Bible that has everything, this Bible is for you。 It has the study notes that will guide you as you read plus much, much more! I absolutely love this Bible and I think you will, too! I give it 5 stars。 *This Bible was provided to me by BibleGateway。 I received a copy of this Bible to review but I was not financially compensated in any way。 The opinions expressed are my own and are based on my observations while reading this Bible。 。。。more

The Good Book is as relevant today as it has been over the centuries。 This Study Bible really helped me understand specific passages as well as provided context。 I used a one-year plan that incorporated reading four separate passages per day for 25 days per month with the remaining days used for additional research, reflection and catching up。 If I had not ready a majority of the study aids, I may have finished closer to on time, but I would recommend reading for understanding over reading for s The Good Book is as relevant today as it has been over the centuries。 This Study Bible really helped me understand specific passages as well as provided context。 I used a one-year plan that incorporated reading four separate passages per day for 25 days per month with the remaining days used for additional research, reflection and catching up。 If I had not ready a majority of the study aids, I may have finished closer to on time, but I would recommend reading for understanding over reading for speed any time。 。。。more

"For the Word of God is living and active。 Sharper than any two-edged sword" (Hebrews 4:12)。 I am a Jesus follower, and I have read many parts of the Bible multiple times, but it has been a long time since I have read it straight through。 One of my favorite books to read is Proverbs, and because it has 31 chapters, I can it through a chapter a day for a month, and then start over the next month。 "For the Word of God is living and active。 Sharper than any two-edged sword" (Hebrews 4:12)。 I am a Jesus follower, and I have read many parts of the Bible multiple times, but it has been a long time since I have read it straight through。 One of my favorite books to read is Proverbs, and because it has 31 chapters, I can it through a chapter a day for a month, and then start over the next month。 。。。more

What did I think? Of The Bible? I guess it has potential。 I mean, literally, Holy Jesus。[from later] Now that I have had my 24 hours of flippancy, I'll expand this one a little bit。 Over the years I have read the Tanakh (or Old Testament) and the New Testament (as well as the Apocrypha) the Qur'an, the Rig Veda, the Dhammapada, the Analects of Confucius, and most of the writings of The Bab, Baha'u'llah, Abdu'l Baha, and Shoghi Effendi -- these last all related to the Baha'i Faith。It strikes me e What did I think? While I prefer the RSV and the NRSV for ecumenical reasons, when it comes to Study Bibles for most Christians, this is the best one I have found in regards to clarity, objectivity, and ease of reading。 This Version of the NIV Study Bible is no longer in print, but I have found used ones pretty easily at this point。 The Study Bibles connected to the NRSV (I have investigated the Access Study Bible and the Harper Collins Study Bible) are solid, but definitely geared to a more educated audience。I p While I prefer the RSV and the NRSV for ecumenical reasons, when it comes to Study Bibles for most Christians, this is the best one I have found in regards to clarity, objectivity, and ease of reading。 This Version of the NIV Study Bible is no longer in print, but I have found used ones pretty easily at this point。 The Study Bibles connected to the NRSV (I have investigated the Access Study Bible and the Harper Collins Study Bible) are solid, but definitely geared to a more educated audience。I personally find the Harper Collins Study Bible my favorite for general use。 。。。more

Jean and I just finished reading it through again。 We read three times a day for 6 days, and finish in less than a year。 We going to read it again, but at a much slower pace。 Some say reading it quickly gives an overview。 Not for me。 That's why I rated it as I did。 And that's not about the book, but about the pace of reading it。 I need time to reflect, ruminate, rummage about。 I'm into slowing down。I've set up the reading plan on Logos; "Ge–Job, Ec–Mal | Mt–Re | Ps | Pr"。 But I'm looking for ano Jean and I just finished reading it through again。 We read three times a day for 6 days, and finish in less than a year。 We going to read it again, but at a much slower pace。 Some say reading it quickly gives an overview。 Not for me。 That's why I rated it as I did。 And that's not about the book, but about the pace of reading it。 I need time to reflect, ruminate, rummage about。 I'm into slowing down。I've set up the reading plan on Logos; "Ge–Job, Ec–Mal | Mt–Re | Ps | Pr"。 But I'm looking for another plan。 Perhaps chronologically, not thematically and not topically。 Ideas? 。。。more
