Summary

For readers of Kara Thomas and Karen McManus, an addictive, twisty crime thriller with shades of Serial and Making a Murderer about a closed local murder case that doesn't add up, and a girl who's determined to find the real killer--but not everyone wants her meddling in the past。

Everyone in Fairview knows the story。

Pretty and popular high school senior Andie Bell was murdered by her boyfriend, Sal Singh, who then killed himself。 It was all anyone could talk about。 And five years later, Pip sees how the tragedy still haunts her town。

But she can't shake the feeling that there was more to what happened that day。 She knew Sal when she was a child, and he was always so kind to her。 How could he possibly have been a killer?

Now a senior herself, Pip decides to reexamine the closed case for her final project, at first just to cast doubt on the original investigation。 But soon she discovers a trail of dark secrets that might actually prove Sal innocent 。 。 。 and the line between past and present begins to blur。 Someone in Fairview doesn't want Pip digging around for answers, and now her own life might be in danger。

This is the story of an investigation turned obsession, full of twists and turns and with an ending you'll never expect。

Hello! It has been a while since I have used Goodreads, but I am back now。 I thought this book was very good, but maybe a bit overhyped? The overall story itself was done well, but the media made it out to be something far more than it actually is。 I was a bit let down in that respect, but this wasn't necessarily the book's fault。 That is the only reason I give four stars to this book。 It is only from my own personal experience and opinion。 So overall, a good book! I would recommend it。 Hello! It has been a while since I have used Goodreads, but I am back now。 I thought this book was very good, but maybe a bit overhyped? This book took me only a day to read, it was that good。 I was not expecting this book to be as good as it was, but I was very much taken a back once I read the first chapter。 I am not a very mystery book type of person but this had me on my feet the entire time。 It was the perfect amount of twists and turns in the plot that had you wanting to read the next chapter。

This book is one of the best murder mystery types of books I’ve ever read。 Just when you think you know what’s going to happen there’s a twist。 The way new information comes out at the perfect timing just makes you never want to put the book down。 I finished the whole book in one sitting because I was just hooked on and needed to know what was going to happen next。 Definitely recommend。

First five star book of the year!!Let's start with just a few things I didn't love。 There are a handful of swear words but only a few。 The whole premise of the novel is a teenage girl solving a murder of a different teenage girl that happened five years ago。 The main character puts herself in very dangerous situations throughout the whole novel and I think it is important to just address how irresponsible some of her actions are。 As this book is geared towards teenagers I would hate if anyone re First five star book of the year!!Let's start with just a few things I didn't love。 There are a handful of swear words but only a few。 The whole premise of the novel is a teenage girl solving a murder of a different teenage girl that happened five years ago。 The main character puts herself in very dangerous situations throughout the whole novel and I think it is important to just address how irresponsible some of her actions are。 As this book is geared towards teenagers I would hate if anyone read this book and thought it was okay to continually put themselves in danger。Overall I LOVED this book! It is such a good murder mystery that had me hooked immediately! I have spent any and all free time reading this book in the last 36 hours and hated having to put it down at all! I can't even begin to explain the plot without spoiling it for you so just do me a favor and read it for yourself - you will not regret it!! 。。。more

This book kept me interested all the way through reading it。 I had my guesses on who the killer was but I never would have guessed the ending。 I believe it ended well and was wrapped up nicely。 Well worth the read!

i love the lay out of this book and even with all the information being thrown at you the way it’s organized is incredibly clear。 so many plot twists, genuinely not predictable。

This was a fun YA murder mystery。 For her senior project, the main character, Pip, decides to re-examine details from a murder that happened 5 years ago in her town。 The police have closed the case, but she doesn’t think things are as cut and dry as they seem。 There were a lot of characters with motive, so it keeps you guessing throughout the whole book。 The audio has a full cast, which was fun。 No real language or explicit scenes, so pretty clean。 Overall, very enjoyable。 I’m excited to read th This was a fun YA murder mystery。 For her senior project, the main character, Pip, decides to re-examine details from a murder that happened 5 years ago in her town。 The police have closed the case, but she doesn’t think things are as cut and dry as they seem。 There were a lot of characters with motive, so it keeps you guessing throughout the whole book。 The audio has a full cast, which was fun。 No real language or explicit scenes, so pretty clean。 Overall, very enjoyable。 I’m excited to read the next in the series。 。。。more

I loved this book。 It’s the BEST out of the whole series。 Itseems to be for all age groups, and I LOVE the chemistry between Ravi and Pip。 The plot makes the book a HUGE page turner, and I never expected the ending。 Overall 5/5。

AMAZING A MASTERPEICE EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR The amount of attention to detail this book contains satisfies me deeply。 I have never been this happy about a book in a while。 The whole murder-mystery aspect, plot twists and story is so well developed。 There are no grey spots and places where I had no idea what was going on。 Huge thank you to the author for that。 The ending wasn't exactly predictable, but I had my suspicions before。 It was still shocking nevertheless。 AMAZING A MASTERPEICE EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR The amount of attention to detail this book contains satisfies me deeply。 I have never been this happy about a book in a while。 The whole murder-mystery aspect, plot twists and story is so well developed。 There are no grey spots and places where I had no idea what was going on。 Huge thank you to the author for that。 The ending wasn't exactly predictable, but I had my suspicions before。 It was still shocking nevertheless。 。。。more
