After being a Christian for 50 years, I grew in gratitude via reading this book。 Thank you, Joyce Meyer for writing this and being led by God to do so。 I know I'm not the only one who needed this。 Since I've been going through the battles of doctors, injections, immense pain in my knees, I'll be headed for the orthopedic surgeon soon。 Hallelujah。 I was in a season of not seeming grateful and doing a bit of complaining。 Now, I'm remembering to thank God for even the little things。 I'm also compli After being a Christian for 50 years, I grew in gratitude via reading this book。 Thank you, Joyce Meyer for writing this and being led by God to do so。 I know I'm not the only one who needed this。 Since I've been going through the battles of doctors, injections, immense pain in my knees, I'll be headed for the orthopedic surgeon soon。 Hallelujah。 I was in a season of not seeming grateful and doing a bit of complaining。 Now, I'm remembering to thank God for even the little things。 I'm also complimenting/exhorting my husband。 The more blessings I count, the more blessings I'm receiving。 God is good。 。。。more

The Power of Thank You: Discover the Joy of Gratitude by Joyce Meyer is a relatively short and easy to read book with a powerful message and reminder to be grateful for the things in your life。 In The Power of Thank You, Meyer shares both personal stories and stories from the Bible to encourage readers to be grateful for both the little things and the big things in their lives。 Even when life isn't going the way that you hoped, Meyer encourages readers to find something to be thankful for。 This The Power of Thank You: Discover the Joy of Gratitude by Joyce Meyer is a relatively short and easy to read book with a powerful message and reminder to be grateful for the things in your life。 In The Power of Thank You, Meyer shares both personal stories and stories from the Bible to encourage readers to be grateful for both the little things and the big things in their lives。 Even when life isn't going the way that you hoped, Meyer encourages readers to find something to be thankful for。 This book is easy to read and understand。 While I didn't really learn anything new in this book, it was a good reminder to me to be thankful for so many things。 I think it would be an especially good book to give a new Christian that is struggling。 One of the features I especially liked about this book is the appendix that has thirty days of things to thank God for based on various Scriptures throughout the Bible。 I like to use a gratitude journal every day and she has a beautiful one that matches this book too。I received a copy of this book from the publisher。 All opinions within this review are my own。 。。。more

Being thankful has been a theme in many Christian books lately。 Joyce Meyer's latest takes on the same subject of being thankful, along with saying it to others and God, making Christians better in their walk, along with wanting to do more for others。 The book is easy to read and is geared more toward a Christian who is already in the faith。 Some books are geared for newer Christians, and although a newer Christian will still get valuable information out of this, the writer jumps into the topic, Being thankful has been a theme in many Christian books lately。 Joyce Meyer's latest takes on the same subject of being thankful, along with saying it to others and God, making Christians better in their walk, along with wanting to do more for others。 The book is easy to read and is geared more toward a Christian who is already in the faith。 Some books are geared for newer Christians, and although a newer Christian will still get valuable information out of this, the writer jumps into the topic, along with some of the Biblical references, assuming that the reader knows vaguely the stories。 I enjoyed the chapter on the entitlement mentality, along with the layout of the pages which has been featured the same way in several of her recent books I have reviewed (which you can read by searching her name in the archives)。 In her other works, she sometimes focuses on the female audience, with her examples of shopping and clothing, but this is a book that males can easily get into as well。 Sometimes Meyer's work doesn't appeal to me, but this one is a well-written book that is not too in-depth but not juvenile either。 For an in depth review, visit my blog at : https://lancewrites。wordpress。com/202。。。 。。。more

I've been using a gratitude journal for years, so I was interested in reading this book, as well as using the associated journal。 As I expected, Meyer didn't disappoint。Meyer starts by reminding the reader that: “The words thanks and thanksgiving appear in approximately one hundred verses in the Bible, and we are told to give thanks seventy-three times。 I believe that anything the Holy Spirit repeats that often must be important to my life and yours。”There is so much negativity in the world thes I've been using a gratitude journal for years, so I was interested in reading this book, as well as using the associated journal。 As I expected, Meyer didn't disappoint。Meyer starts by reminding the reader that: “The words thanks and thanksgiving appear in approximately one hundred verses in the Bible, and we are told to give thanks seventy-three times。 I believe that anything the Holy Spirit repeats that often must be important to my life and yours。”There is so much negativity in the world these days, and it costs nothing to be kind, to say a kind word to others, etc。, and it's an action that can make a huge difference (on us and the recipient)。 Our words have power, and it's important to use them for good。This book is filled with tips that anyone can easily implement。 Chapters include: Thankfulness Is God's Will, Be Thankful and Say So, God Doesn't Answer Complaints, The Power of Thank You, and Humility and Gratitude。 There is also a wonderful appendix that lists Thirty Days of Thank You, which lists thirty verses pertaining to gratitude。 There are also lots of specific examples listed of how the reader can bless others。Some of my favorite quotes:- "Seek God's presence, not His presents。"- "Do not complain about things you are not willing to do anything about。"- "Saying thank you doesn't cost anything。"- "We should be building people up, not putting them down。"- "Giving thanks shifts your focus away from your problems and into the answers。"NOTE: There are mentions of Covid-19, which could be a trigger to some readers。 However, they are limited and not in-depth discussions。Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher, but I wasn't required to leave a review。 。。。more

“Our Gratitude belongs first to God, because without Him, we would have nothing。”I adore Joyce Meyer and her new book was a beautiful read, full of inspiration, goodness and essence of gratitude。 “Thankfulness releases joy in our lives。” This is one book I will re-read over the years; it’s a timeless reminder of the importance of life’s true meaning。

I live grateful every single day so this book resonated with me in a big way。 Thanking God in all things is very different than thanking for all things。 God is good all the time even when we struggle to see the good。 Joyce writes, "Gratitude is power。" And, I completely agree。 The enemy of our souls would rather we be complaining, whiny and grumpy! And, God our Provider desires we be content and grateful。I recommend this book for those who struggle with everyday gratitude - the accompanying "Tha I live grateful every single day so this book resonated with me in a big way。 Thanking God in all things is very different than thanking for all things。 God is good all the time even when we struggle to see the good。 Joyce writes, "Gratitude is power。" And, I completely agree。 The enemy of our souls would rather we be complaining, whiny and grumpy! My inspirational word for 2022 is thankfulness, so The Power of Thank You is the perfect book to jumpstart the new year。 I was already uplifted from the first page, where Joyce Meyer states: “The words thanks and thanksgiving appear in approximately one hundred verses in the Bible, and we are told to give thanks seventy-three times。 I believe that anything the Holy Spirit repeats that often must be important to my life and yours。”Being grateful isn’t only God’s will for us (1 Thessalonians 5:16- My inspirational word for 2022 is thankfulness, so The Power of Thank You is the perfect book to jumpstart the new year。 I was already uplifted from the first page, where Joyce Meyer states: “The words thanks and thanksgiving appear in approximately one hundred verses in the Bible, and we are told to give thanks seventy-three times。 I believe that anything the Holy Spirit repeats that often must be important to my life and yours。”Being grateful isn’t only God’s will for us (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) but it plants our mind in positivity。 If we sit around grumbling and coarse, we certainly aren’t being pleasing to God and are a discouragement to others。 But when we set our mind on being thankful, we encourage others to do the same。 Above all, I’m thankful to God。 No matter how trying the past few pandemic years have been, I have so much to be thankful for。 God is good, all the time, and this book encourages me to keep that in mind, all the time。Yes, there is power in the words “thank you。” Having a grateful heart, reminds me of my many blessings and encourages me to be a blessing to others。 Someone I encounter—a grocery clerk, a server, a mail carrier, or a police officer, might not feel appreciated or valued。 And in this new year I’m on a mission to remind them they are, by telling them “Thank you。”I’m thankful for this book and the gentle nudges it gives me。Disclosure: #CoverLoverBookReview received a complimentary copy of this book。#FaithWords#JoyceMeyer#ThePowerOfThankYou 。。。more

One of the most beautiful things that I cherish the most about me is my gratitude, my ability to express gratitude。 For those who know me very well, know that I am a very grateful human being, for I say Thank You and thus express gratitude for the smallest of things done for me, or even someone who's in my company。 I can't not help but to express gratitude to that person in my own name or in a nameof another。 And because I am such grateful human being as I am, I truly felt connected to this book One of the most beautiful things that I cherish the most about me is my gratitude, my ability to express gratitude。 For those who know me very well, know that I am a very grateful human being, for I say Thank You and thus express gratitude for the smallest of things done for me, or even someone who's in my company。 I can't not help but to express gratitude to that person in my own name or in a nameof another。 And because I am such grateful human being as I am, I truly felt connected to this book as I was reading it。 Mrs。 Meyer truly captured the very importance and the very significance, and essence,of such a powerful word。 She used examples from the scripture, but I didn't mind, because all I cared was about the lessons she shared the others, characters from the scripture have learnt。 I honestly shed a few tears as I was reading it, because I know how powerful the word truly is, and how powerful it is to express gratitude。 If you are like me, if you are also a truly very grateful human being, you love to express gratitude to everyone for the smallest of things done for you, then this is the most wonderful book you'll ever read and get your hands on。 I may not be his biggest fan, but I believe in God, and I believein the power of gratitude, and I firmly believe, that the author who's written over 130。 books, knows of the true power of Thank You and thus of the true power of gratitude。 It's a home run you truly need to achieve in your life if you haven't achieved it already。 This is a truly wonderful book worthy of anyone's time。 Blessings 。。。more

We know it is God's will we be thankful at all times in everything (1 Thess。 5:18)。 We may not realize how important thankfulness is or even know how to consistently be thankful。 Meyer to the rescue。 She has written this book to help us understand the power of being thankful and to encourage us to make a firm commitment to be more thankful than we have ever been before。Being thankful will change our lives, Meyer writes。 It will release joy, affect our prayers, and keep us focused on the positive We know it is God's will we be thankful at all times in everything (1 Thess。 5:18)。 We may not realize how important thankfulness is or even know how to consistently be thankful。 Meyer to the rescue。 She has written this book to help us understand the power of being thankful and to encourage us to make a firm commitment to be more thankful than we have ever been before。Being thankful will change our lives, Meyer writes。 It will release joy, affect our prayers, and keep us focused on the positive, on our blessing instead of our problems。 In case we think Meyer writes in theory only, she shares many of her experiences, giving readers realistic insight into her own life of trials and struggles to be thankful。There were some surprises in this book。 One was Meyer identifying thankfulness as a sign of spiritual maturity。 Another was the revelation that Paul never prayed that peoples' problems would go away but that they would bear them with a good attitude。 Meyer covers many topics, giving practical suggestions on being content, understanding the purpose of trials, being positive without ignoring reality, being generous, the necessity of humility, and much more。 In case we are at a loss as to maintaining a consistent attitude of thankfulness to God, she has included an Appendix with thirty specific suggestions。This is another inspiring yet practical book by Meyer。 If you have trouble being thankful, reading this book will definitely get you on the journey。I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher。 My comments are an independent and honest review。 。。。more

While I think that the Power of Thank you had the potential to be an excellent book, I would rate it at the middle class level because of the content。 I love Joyce Meyer and her books, but I felt like this one didn’t present a whole lot of new ideas。 I would still recommend it, but it wasn’t my favorite。
