Summary

No one survived the last battle unscathed。 Flint is angry at the world, Jaxon is turning into something I don’t recognize, and Hudson has put up a wall I’m not sure I’ll ever break through。

Now war is coming, and we’re not ready。 We’re going to need an army to have any hope of winning。 But first, there are questions about my ancestors that need answers。 Answers that might just reveal who the real monster is among us。

And that’s saying something in a world filled with bloodthirsty vampires, immortal gargoyles, and an ancient battle between two gods。

There’s no guarantee that anyone will be left standing when the dust settles, but if we want to save this world, I have no choice。 I’ll have to embrace every part of me。。。even the parts I fear the most。

This book was a surprising disappointment。 It completes the story, but it drove me crazy。 The dialogue was on repeat in a few ways。 One, they say the same phrases over and over (oh yeah?, I know, I love you)。 Two, a ton of the dialogue is parroted ("We have to go。 Now!" Reply: "We have to go? Now?" and, "Oh yeah?" Reply: "Oh yeah。")。 Ugh。 Also, the narrative repeated the same thing again and again (I'm weak, I make mistakes, staring in his eyes, got my back, this is not okay, it just isn't, pani This book was a surprising disappointment。 It completes the story, but it drove me crazy。 The dialogue was on repeat in a few ways。 One, they say the same phrases over and over (oh yeah?, I know, I love you)。 Two, a ton of the dialogue is parroted ("We have to go。 Now!" I kept waiting for him to be a spy or have a necessary moment, but nothing。 Another new character pops up in a very soap opera way (you know, the "surprise sibling that no one knew about but was somehow thought to be dead")。 I like the paranormal creatures。 I liked the introduction to giants, then manticore。。。but then gods get thrown in there? Maybe if I wasn't so irritated with the other issues, I could have accepted this。 But this just made it silly。 I know this is entertainment, fodder。。。but it went from fun, fun, fun, to annoying。 That's a huge jump。 I finished it because I'm invested, and I'll read the others, but I sure hope the author tries a little harder in the next two。 Maybe book 4 is just the oooops of the series。 。。。more

Before I start let me say that I really do love this story。 The plot, world, and the love story with Grace and Hudson are great。 However, I couldn’t give this one more than 3 stars。 I struggle reading it sometimes because I feel like it is very repetitive。 There is so many extra words/thoughts than there needs to be。 It probably could have been 100 pages less at least。

These books are quick fun and borderline Harlequin Romance reads for the YA Fantasy crowd。 I love the characters and almost hate to admit that I was upset when this ended。 I have a hard time with Jaxon's acceptance of the whole situation but want so desperately to see the changes in Hudson that being loved by Grace truly brings。 These books are quick fun and borderline Harlequin Romance reads for the YA Fantasy crowd。 I love the characters and almost hate to admit that I was upset when this ended。 I have a hard time with Jaxon's acceptance of the whole situation but want so desperately to see the changes in Hudson that being loved by Grace truly brings。 。。。more

It was the same plot over and over in one book。 And to not only add at the last moment some unfinished little plot point that could have never happened, she decided to add it in so she could write more books that don’t need to be written。 Know when to close a story, and when to create spin offs。 A spin off of Remy or Jaxon and flint solid! The novella of Hudson and Grace *chefs kiss* but to add an entire book for this series is not it。 。。。more

I’ve always loved how Crave has mating strings, amongst others, and this really just tied it all together。 The green string was always such a mystery throughout the series, and thankfully it was adequately explored in this book。 The character relationships were also lovely as well- and showed that friendships are especially important in hard times。 (like when you are trying to defeat a vampire king, of course)。 ^^Very sad so many people died though :(Needless to say, I’m glad that Cyrus was finally defeated, and that Grace has grown more into the role of being queen。 Hudson had a lot of character growth throughout the story as well-which was nice to see。 The Remy & Calder reunion was sweet too :’)*It is also worth noting that the B&N Dragon Court chapters were a great addition as well :)Ranting:DRAGON JAXON DRAGON JAXON。 THE EPILOGUE??? 2。5⭐Way。 Too。 Many。 Things。 All the things。 A total "kitchen sink" scenario。 Like imagine you decide you want cookies but can't decide what kind, so you literally throw every spice, sprinkle, chip and chunk you can find in and you're left with a total sweet, muddled mess that has no identity and ultimately leaves you wanting。 I would like a word with the editor because, honestly, WTF?! This book could and should have been about 300-400 pages shorter。 It was sooooo repetitive。 There were so many 2。5⭐Way。 Too。 Many。 Things。 All the things。 A total "kitchen sink" scenario。 Like imagine you decide you want cookies but can't decide what kind, so you literally throw every spice, sprinkle, chip and chunk you can find in and you're left with a total sweet, muddled mess that has no identity and ultimately leaves you wanting。 I would like a word with the editor because, honestly, WTF?! This book could and should have been about 300-400 pages shorter。 It was sooooo repetitive。 There were so many sidebars and mini-quests that it just started to drag on。 I skimmed the last 100 or so pages because it was just underwhelming at that point。 It's a bummer because I see the potential underneath all of the posturing and posing。I am all for representation and inclusiveness, but when it's done for the sake of being trendy or trying to be relevant, it ends up not actually adding anything to the story and detracts rather than highlights those situations and characters。 Like, the very fluid sexuality of so many of the characters doesn't seem genuine。 And I'm going to be honest, the they/them pronouns took me a second to understand。。。I literally thought there were 2 people or something for like, 2 chapters! Especially when there are characters in scenes that they shouldn't be (references someone breaking off with one group but then suddenly they are also in a scene with the other group), which feels like those characters were just after thoughts thrown in to be controversial, or the editing sucked。 Sorry。 Reading this book reminded me of when I took an astronomy class in college and we studied the constellations as pretty little connect-the-dot pictures and then we actually tried to look for them in the sky and you are left thinking, "how the hell did they get a scorpion out of five random dots in the sky?!"。 I gave the whole series a shot, but don't think I'll be reading any more from this series, especially not paying full price for the books。 。。。more

I have been awaiting this book for months and I am disappointed。 The editing on this novel seemed incomplete as there were inconsistencies, overlooked repetitions, and so on。 It took me out of the story several times。 Grace grows into a more decisive leader。 It is refreshing to see her character develop and change throughout the plot, embracing mistakes and altering paths when things go awry。 It is unpredictable and full of twists that will keep the reader on the edge of their seat。 Court is act I have been awaiting this book for months and I am disappointed。 The editing on this novel seemed incomplete as there were inconsistencies, overlooked repetitions, and so on。 It took me out of the story several times。 Grace grows into a more decisive leader。 It is refreshing to see her character develop and change throughout the plot, embracing mistakes and altering paths when things go awry。 It is unpredictable and full of twists that will keep the reader on the edge of their seat。 Court is action packed, full of political warfare, and corruption。 There was a LOT packed into this one book, so much so that I almost felt bogged down with information。 Not my favorite in the Crave series, but a very solid, powerful book! 。。。more

More like a 4。75 but my 5 star is given to my favorite book of this series so far (Covet), this was such an incredible, suspenseful, but relieving installment to this series! The character and plot development, the love, the heartbreak, the never-a-dull-moment, action-packed chapters!! She’s done it again! Can’t wait for Charm and Cherish🛡💛✨

Cringe worthy, at best。 The story has potential but the writing is absolutely horrible。 Repetitive and predictable。 When the author occasionally manages to write something clever, it’s negated by the fact that she follows up with a paragraph explaining why it was clever。 Throw in unannounced they/them pronouns to already poor writing and you have the full extent of this maddening book。

This series is totally a not-so-guilty pleasure。 Harry Potter meets twilight and then throw in some cheesy pop culture references and lines。 I adore the characters, the strong female protagonist, and the many imaginative adventures that the main characters go on! Can’t wait for the next one!

I just finished this highly anticipated fourth installment in the Crave series and can I just say WOW! It's no surprise that it has a raving review from me。 I'm so dedicated and in love with this series。 You continue the adventure with Grace and her friends as they work to defeat the evil Cyrus and restore balance and peace in this world。 What I love most about these books is that they are so unpredictable to me。 I always think I know how the scene will end up but I'm always flabbergasted on how I just finished this highly anticipated fourth installment in the Crave series and can I just say WOW! My point is that you should absolutely pick up this series。 Court will be in my Top of 2022 already and earned the badge。 Pick it up because it's definitely a recommend from me! 。。。more

So I’ll start with what I loved and then say what I hated…FIRST, I’m so happy that Jaxon has gained some personality! He was emotionless most of the time in the previous books, so his change was nice to see! Second, the growth in power for Grace and finally finding out more about who she is and who her family is! She went through so much and I’m glad she’s okay!Enough with the numbers…there’s a lot I loved! But again, that’s because I loved these books and Hudson…obvi!Moving on though! This book was an editorial mess and I’m surprised I haven’t seen comments or reviews on that yet! It’s really obvious Dawud was added in later drafts because they show up in the Bloodletter’s cave when they weren’t even there and then there’s this whole confusion when the gang gets shoved in the dungeon with the rest of Katmere。 They often get mixed up with Mehki which makes me think Dawud was added later! They’re a wolf so I’m wondering if Wolff added them to fill in that spot that used to belong to Xavier or to just add a wolf to the group! Also, I was convinced that Grace’s dad and Finn were brothers but then it’s said that Rowena was Grace’s dad’s sister…correct me if I’m wrong here! There was a reference to the mental torture from the prison and it was written like “Jaxon and Flint and Calder” but Jaxon wasn’t there…Besides editing, the deaths were totally unnecessary… why make Jaxon suffer more, only to have this monster fight turn out exactly like the Unkillable Beast! Next is Grace’s decisions and her inner monologue! It’s so high school, I think I cringed a couple times! Like how many times can you walk into such an obvious trap? Alright。 There’s a lot to say here。 1。 I did not like this as much as the other books。 While the plot was still really interesting, I felt like the writing wasn’t as good, not as much core friend group, way too much boy fascination, less exciting dialogue, not as great of world building which we were so spoiled with in the last one。 While all of my other reviews were me screaming to the world to read this and relate to me, I didn’t have that。 With that being said I’m excited there are 2 more com Alright。 There’s a lot to say here。 1。 I did not like this as much as the other books。 While the plot was still really interesting, I felt like the writing wasn’t as good, not as much core friend group, way too much boy fascination, less exciting dialogue, not as great of world building which we were so spoiled with in the last one。 While all of my other reviews were me screaming to the world to read this and relate to me, I didn’t have that。 With that being said I’m excited there are 2 more coming out this year。 However I can no longer beg people to read this because once they hit this book I will be ridiculed。 2。 In all my other reviews I asked for the girl to be given the chance to have sex with her bf。 Now that it’s happened (still not for sure here。 Gotta really dig into biting as sex) I wish it never had。 She pines even worse now。 It’s like from freshman year when Sicily broke up with her bf and lamented that she need cuddles now that she’s had them。 Like girl chill。 You survived without a boy before you can do it again。 Same goes for the protagonist。 You survived without him。 Chill。 You can live without romance and touch even after having had it。 Like cue every single person ever。 The PDA in this book is so excessive。 Genuinely grossed out and I’m all about the romance。 Just look at any faerie book ever。 3。 I think there’s a real issue with her being a strong female protagonist and obsessed with her bf。 The author is clearly trying to cast her as a strong female role mode and at times she is but it’s so overshadowed by how much she wants to be with her bf。 Just not as believable。 4。 I love Remy and am so happy to read that spin-off when it comes!!!!!5。 The bf’s power in this book raised an interesting moral question。 With the snap of your fingers you can kill everything in sight。 As you’re battling literally hundreds and thousands of enemies, do you ask him to do the snap and kill everyone thereby taking a piece of his humanity but saving all of your friends or do you fight the more fair old fashioned way? If I had that kind of enemy on my side I don’t know what I would do。 Maybe we could compare this to a nuclear weapon? We have the power to end any conflict instantly, but is that the right thing to do? It just struck me as an interesting dilemma。 6。 This book gifted me with one of the best jokes I’ve ever heard。 What happens when you fight a dinosaur? You get jurasskicked 7。 At the very end of this I got a strong Percy Jackson vibe。 The author takes concepts like gods and makes them very quirky and personable。 Like the god of time shows up from his Hawaiian vacation。 That feels like something Rick would’ve done。 8。 And a final quote for Treesh: “And while I like the song a lot—One Direction forever,” 。。。more

That was so heartbreaking for Remy and she was such a good character :(But srsly I can't wait to read the next book in the series, but before that I NEED THE NOVELLA about Grace and Hudson's missing 4 months because honestly I can't believe you left us on that cliffhanger。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 IT WAS SO GOOD!!!!!! I absolutely loved this book! It was so jam packed with so much content, but it wasn't overwhelming。 I laughed。 I cried。 I wanted to throw the book at one point。 Tracy did it again with an amazing book。 And I love that she included a non-binary character that when introduced their identity wasn't made into a big deal and it was just accepted。 I cannot wait for the next two in the series!
