Wow I’m not sure I have words to describe how I’m feeling。 This series is intense but nothing could prepare me for book 3 The Resurrection。 If you think Jodi Ellen Malpas doesn’t do dark， raw and gritty， think again because this book deserves every five star rating and I’m sure there are many us wishing we could give it more。 I was intrigued as to where we would go with this book because we have met Danny Black and Rose Cassidy as well as James Kelly and Beau Hayley before and all I’m going to s Wow I’m not sure I have words to describe how I’m feeling。 This series is intense but nothing could prepare me for book 3 The Resurrection。 If you think Jodi Ellen Malpas doesn’t do dark， raw and gritty， think again because this book deserves every five star rating and I’m sure there are many us wishing we could give it more。 I was intrigued as to where we would go with this book because we have met Danny Black and Rose Cassidy as well as James Kelly and Beau Hayley before and all I’m going to say is this book is one epic read that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish。Danny and James are strong， formidable individuals but when they join forces to hunt down Bear， a man who is out to destroy them and their women they become unstoppable。This is a story that will take over your life， it’s raw， it’s powerful and at times it’s violent but the banter and the friendships that this author weaves into this gritty tale takes this story to another level。 Im so excited to hear this isn’t the end because I understand there is book 4 coming in the Unlawful Men Series。 。。。more

When I say this book had my heart in my mouth the whole time， I really mean that。 After The Enigma ended I was so eager to see where Jodi would take this story。 We got to learn about Rose Cassidy and Danny Black， The Brit， in the first book of this series named after Danny himself。 Their traumatic and messed up pasts leading them to a better future。 Then I’m book two we were introduced to Beau Hayley and James Kelly， or The Enigma。 I didn’t think I would love another new couple as much as I did When I say this book had my heart in my mouth the whole time， I really mean that。 After The Enigma ended I was so eager to see where Jodi would take this story。 We got to learn about Rose Cassidy and Danny Black， The Brit， in the first book of this series named after Danny himself。 Their traumatic and messed up pasts leading them to a better future。 Then I’m book two we were introduced to Beau Hayley and James Kelly， or The Enigma。 I didn’t think I would love another new couple as much as I did Rose and Danny。 But I was proven wrong。 I really should know by now that Jodi has a way to create these characters that continue to grow throughout the story and you just can’t help fall in love with them。 They become a piece of you with ever page of the story。 This story was a roller coaster。 We were so happy and relaxed with the foursome in St Lucia。 Then the resurrection happened！ The title did not let us down。 We had to go on the most wild goose chase for the man known as The Bear。 Along the way we find his men， the alligator， the hound， the ox， the dodo。 They really wanted people to know that these men were animals。 Bad men。 And what a way to do that then with animal names。 I thought this way funny and also brilliant。 But we don’t like the bad guys so that funny moment was over quickly。 To then have these two couples collide。 And not only collide but to see the bonds between them。 Oh my lord I was obsessed。 This is a group of people that bounced off of each other so well。 This story showed and reminded me what true family and friendships are。 The four person POV was incredible。 To understand each character and their thoughts throughout the whole book was something I thoroughly enjoyed。 The different POVS and Jodi’s exceptional writing makes you feel like you are right there in the mix of all the mafia drama。 Surrounded by sexy， savage alpha men and incredibly strong， beautiful women。 The characters Jodi makes， make you want to be the best version of yourself… and maybe have a little kick ass like her leading ladies。 This entire book had me hooked， line and sinker。 I cried。 God did I cry。 I gasped。 I laughed。 I think I felt every emotion。 And that is something that I have always gone through with a JEM book。 This is why she will always be my number one favorite author。 From her very first book she dug her way into my heart and engraved her name， along with all her leading characters names， on it。 But also… JODI we need to have words。 You know exactly what about。 Can confirm I nearly had a heart attack because of this book haha。 In all seriousness。 She’s done it again。 She’s created another hands down amazingly beautiful story。 And yes I called a mafia type story amazingly beautiful。 Please never stop writing Jodi！ 。。。more

We have The Brit and The Enigma combining forces to hunt and bring down The Bear， a man who has touched both the lives of these killers in bad ways。 I loved The Brit and The Enigma books， the first and second in this series。 It’s where we learned about who they are and what matters to them。 This stories engrossed me in all things unlawful men。 Then this book came out and I was excited to read it。 I got two unlawful men in the same book。 Reading this novel felt like being in a long term relations We have The Brit and The Enigma combining forces to hunt and bring down The Bear， a man who has touched both the lives of these killers in bad ways。 I loved The Brit and The Enigma books， the first and second in this series。 It’s where we learned about who they are and what matters to them。 This stories engrossed me in all things unlawful men。 Then this book came out and I was excited to read it。 I got two unlawful men in the same book。 Reading this novel felt like being in a long term relationship - where we are in the middle of the relationship and everything kind of just washes away。 The good， the bad， the ugly didn’t affect me as much as previous books。 The emotions weren’t as pronounced （except for in the sex scenes and let me tell you they were hot 🌶） and the heartache and betrayal didn’t hit me as hard。 The plot line was good。 I was engaged and interested the entire time。 But I felt like something was missing from this novel。 I guess it was because The Bear was a mystery to us and in prior novels we （sort of） knew who the antagonists were。 There wasn’t enough clues brought to light to give the reader an inkling of who it may be。 Instead we were bombarded with WTFs when the plot unfolded and secrets revealed itself。 I wasn’t able to even gander who The Bear might be。 But then， that’s what the author wanted。 She wanted us kept in the dark as the main characters were in the dark。 It’s just not where I like to be while reading。 But it does make for a great ending and beginning of the next novel。 This book had lots of scenes that are 🔥🤌 with a rating of 🌶🌶🌶。 I received an ARC from valentinepr for an honest review。 。。。more
