Before I read this book， if someone came up to me and said: “Anybody can draw” - I wouldn’t have believed it。 Now I do。 It is fascinating to learn the intertwined relationship between different modes our brain operates and how drawing lets you explore it as much as language does on other mode。 Just as one can learn how to read and be able to read anything in their life， learning the fundamentals components of drawing elevates your visual perception at a whole new level！

Amazing book。 Absolutely loved it。 Joy to do drawing exercises。 Upon second review， not really too much improvement vs initial drawings for the majority of people - once you read the book， and then check the before and after drawings from Edwards’ website， you clearly see that the best post- come from the best prior-， and vice versa。 Practice and further development are required after reading this book for the real impact on your drawing skills。

My mom encouraged me to use this book to learn to draw along with my daughter， who is an aspiring artist。 We started it together in August of this year， and within just two months I went from "I could never learn to draw" to "wow， this is by far my favorite hobby I've ever had"。 The book not only helps anyone learn to draw， but it changes the way you look at the world。 I highly recommend chasing down the accompanying workbook if you want to get the most out of it。 I fully plan to circle back and My mom encouraged me to use this book to learn to draw along with my daughter， who is an aspiring artist。 We started it together in August of this year， and within just two months I went from "I could never learn to draw" to "wow， this is by far my favorite hobby I've ever had"。 The book not only helps anyone learn to draw， but it changes the way you look at the world。 I highly recommend chasing down the accompanying workbook if you want to get the most out of it。 I fully plan to circle back and re-read the text like I am reading a good non-fiction book after I've completed all the workbook with my daughter。 。。。more
